Kim Young Sam group's amendment to fascist laws under fire

Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Spokesmen with the central committees of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the Union of Agricultural Working People of Korea in statements January 2 denounced the Kim Young Sam group's railroading of the amendment bills on "The agency for national security planning" and "Labour laws" through the puppet national assembly as a most shameless political gangsterism unprecedented in the world's history of laws. It is so justifiable and righteous patriotic struggle that workers, students and people of all walks of life in South Korea have risen up in a massive struggle under the slogan "Down-with-Kim Young Sam", the statements said. People's army soldiers vow to bring new turn im increasing combat power

Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Servicemen of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces on January 3 met to vow to bring a new turn in stepping up combat preparations of the people's army and increasing combat power by carrying through the tasks laid down in the joint new year editorial of the newspapers of the workers' party of Korea, the people's army and the youth league, under the guidance of the respected supreme commander comrade Kim Jong Il. Rodong sinmun prints a picture he had taken with the propagandists. It carries telegrams of greetings comrade Kim Jong Il received from foreign party and state leaders on the occasion of the new year. Given in the press is an account of a meeting held by servicemen of the ministry of the people's armed forces to vow to bring a new turn in strengthening combatant power by carrying through the tasks advanced in a joint editorial of the organs of the party, the army and the youth on the new year. Conspicuous in Rodong sinmun is a political essay titled "Let us advance vigorously in response to the party's call", which appeals to all people to become honourable victors in socialist general advancement, closely united around comrade Kim Jong Il in one mind. Employees of the march 26 factory and the Pyongyang textile combine met to voice support to their struggle, says the press. Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Chairman of the C.C., General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea Ju Song Il, first secretary of the C.C., Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League Choe Ryong Hae and chairman of the C.C., Korean Christian Federation Kang Yong Sop released press statements friday regarding the delivery through Panmunjom of bodies of the Korean People's Army soldiers killed in a "Submarine incident". Ju Song Il said the delivery of bodies of KPA soldiers some days ago means that the South Korean ruling quarters belatedly admitted and apologized for their anti-national and immoral behaviour. Choe Ryong Hae said that the South Korean ruling quarters have rendered the inter-Korean relations strained by employing the incident, which could be settled in a peaceful way, in an anti-DPRK campaign, in a bid to get out of the acute political and economic crisis. We consider it regretful that the South Korean authorities committed a towering crime against the nation and belatedly handed over the bodies of KPA soldiers, he said. Kang Yong Sop said the incident is a matter that would have been settled on good terms if the South Korean authorities had acceded in time to our justifiable demand. But, by seeking an insidious political purpose, they brought shameful results by themselves in the long run. Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Members of the Jongbong society active in all parts of South Korea issued a congratulatory postcard carrying their wishes for the good health and longevity of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the new year, according to the radio voice of national salvation quoting the information of provincial committees of the national democratic front of South Korea. Printed in the postcard sent by mail is a picture of comrade Kim Jong Il and in its lower part are a green pine tree, deer, crane and peach symbolic of longevity against the background of the shining sun. Kim Young Sam group criticised for enactment of fascist laws

Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Workers of the Kim Jong thae Electric Locomotive General Enterprise, the Pyongyang Textile Combine and other industrial establishments in the capital city of Pyongyang met to bitterly denounce the Kim Young Sam puppet clique for enacting the fascist laws on labor and the "Agency for National Security Planning". At the meetings the speakers charged that recently Kim Young Sam puppet clique railroaded through the "National assembly" without the opposition camp's presence the "Amendment bill on the law of the ansp" which is aimed at more ruthlessly suppressing and persecuting the forces fighting for independence, democracy and reunification and the "Amendment bills on labor laws" which are aimed at mercilessly violating the elementary rights of the workers and at siphoning the last drop of the blood out of them. Second-stage general strike for indefinite period in S. Korea

Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- The South Korean confederation of trade unions (Minjurochong) has entered into a second-stage general strike for an indefinite period from friday, according to a radio report from Seoul. Chairman of the confederation Kwon Yong Gil in an interview in seoul on Jan. 2 referred to the schedule of the general strike in protest against amendments to the "Labour laws", saying: More than 90,000 workers under 50 metal workers unions including motors corp will go on a strike again from Jan. 3 and as many as 230,000 more under 200 trade unions including manufacture, business and construction will join them from Jan. 6. And public labour unions including broadcasting company and subways will follow them from Jan. 7. In case the authorities mobilize police force to block the massive general strike of workers, a powerful counter-measure will be taken.
