S. Korean students, soldiers persecuted
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- The Kim Young Sam group of
South Korea recently arrested ten students and put three
soldiers into investigation, invoking the "National Security
Law", for their activities for independence, democracy and
national reunification.
They allegedly formed a "national student solidarity" at
a Seoul-based university in September 1992 and conducted
anti-"government" activities through rallies and
demonstrations, calling for political forces of the working
class. Rodong Sinmun today views the persecution as another
fascist outrage against pro-reunification, pro-democracy
forces and urges the Kim Young Sam group to stop harsh
suppression of students and people at once.
In a commentary the daily says:
the escalation of the fascist suppression of the pro-
reunification, pro-democracy forces by the Kim Young Sam
group is aimed at emerging from the ruling crisis with an
intensified fascist offensive against the pro-democracy
forces. With their true colors as the chief culprit of the
Hanbo incident unveiled, their regime has found itself in
the most serious crisis since its appearance.
No matter how Kim Young Sam may intensify the
fascist suppression, can he never quell public anger against
him and save his miserable fate.

Kim Young Sam, wrecker of stability of S. Korean society
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Kim Young Sam in a "statement
to the people" prattled that he would defend "security" at any
cost and not tolerate remarks and acts hampering "security".
Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article
headlined "kim Young Sam, wrecker of stability of South Korean
society" says that with such words he revealed his criminal
intention to prolong his days in office. The daily goes on:
The serious political and economic confusion and
crisis in South Korea and the dagner of war on the Korean
Peninsula have been created by the Kim Young Sam group. This
proves that the puppets are hampering and wrecking the
security of the people.
Kim Young Sam, who is destroying the political and
economic stability of South Korean society and endangering
peace and security of the country, must be removed without
delay.
By shelving his indelible crimes, the cause of social
uneasiness and crisis and national disasters, he attributed
the destruction and violation of the stability of South
Korean society to the north and patriotic pro-reunification
and pro-democracy forces in South Korea who are making all
efforts for national reconciliation, peace and the
reunification of the country. This is nonsensical and the
extreme of shamelessness.
His "security" racket will not work on anyone.
The South Korean people are hardening their fighting will
against Kim Young Sam and his "government", regarding his
"security" ballad as a last-ditch effort.
