Challenging remark
Ppyongyang, Mmarch 26 (KCNA) -- Hhirabayashi, chief of the foreign policy deliberation office of the Japanese Cabinet, was recently reported to tell the members of the "society of young dietmen thinking of Japan's prospects and history education" that there is no evidence for the forced recruitment of "Comfort Women for the Japanese Army."
This is part of the crafty moves of the Japanese reactionaries to conceal the "comfort women" issue and a challenging remark against the Korean and other Asian people calling for historic punishment of the criminals.
It is a stark historical fact that Japanese imperialism forcibly drafted as many as 200,000 Korean and other Asian women and some European women as sex slaves for its aggression forces.
The drafting of "comfort women" is recorded in the aggressive history of Japanese imperialism, which inflicted immeasurable misfortunes and sufferings on the Korean and other Asian people. It has been proved by testimonies of former "comfort women." No one can deny the fact.
Hirabayashi even said the government was not directly involved in the issue. His remark shows how shamelessly the Japanese reactionaries try to shirk the blame for this criminal issue.
Although they intend to settle this issue by giving some money collected from the Japanese people to the surviving "comfort women" through a "private fund," this can never settle the issue.
Japan must admit government responsibility and apologize for this crime and make state compensation as demanded by the times.

Kim Young Sam group lambasted for intensified suppression of Pro-democracy people
Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The Kim Young Sam group of south Korea convened a "meeting of security section chiefs" and discussed further intensifying the suppression of the pro-democracy people.
Commenting on the fact, Rodong Sinmun today says the move was motivated by the intention to brutally suppress the righteous struggle of students and workers, which is likely to gain momentum in spring, calling it "illegal" and "pro-north".
The daily says:
The puppets are now seized with uneasiness in face of the people's struggle for a probe of the Hanbo incident and the punishment of its chief culprits and against the retrogressive revision of fascist laws, the struggle which is developing into a fierce anti-Kim Young Sam struggle in combination with the workers' spring struggle for wage hike.
This is why the fascist clique are desperately trying to arrest the anti-"government" struggle of the pro-democracy people and get out of their serious crisis.
The "meeting of the security section chiefs" was a prelude to the fascist suppression.
