Implementation of 10-point programme called for
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- Papers here today editorially call for implementing to the letter the "10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation for the reunification of the country" advanced by President Kim Il Sung to achieve national independence, defend peace and move up the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
In the 10-point programme published on April 6, 1993, President Kim Il Sung clarified the general goal of great national unity to found a pan-national unified state, independent, peaceful and neutral, through the great unity of the whole nation. He also expounded the ideological basis of achieving the unity based on patriotism and the spirit of national independence and the principle of promoting co-existence, co-prosperity and common interests and subordinating everything to the cause of national reunification. Rodong Sinmun says:
The 10-point programme, for its transparent patriotic stand and fairness, is the most reasonable and realistic, great political programme for national unity as well as a great charter of national reunification, which is acceptable to anyone who truly loves the country and the nation and wants reunification, irrespective of differences in ideology, idea, systems, residential areas and property.
All the pro-reunification patriotic forces in the north, the south and abroad should unite close under the banner of national independence and peace, transcending differences in ideology and systems to smash every move of the anti-reunification bellicose forces at home and abroad and open a turning phase for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.
People from all walks of life in the south should add fuel to the already-kindled flames of the struggle against Kim Young Sam and oust him from power without delay.
If the United States truly wants peace on the Korean Peninsula, it should renounce its hostile policy towards the DPRK, the leftover of the cold war era, in keeping with the changed international situation, in which the Cold War between the east and the west has ended, and in the spirit of the DPRK-U.S. agreed framework. And it should affirmatively respond to the DPRK's proposal for establishing a new peace-keeping mechanism to replace the outdated armistice system.
Kim Young Sam on verge of ruin
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- A public opinion poll conducted by a south Korean organ among 508 people throughout south Korea over telephone showed that 74.6 percent of pollees said Kim Young Sam is directly or indirectly involved in the Hanbo incident. 77 percent held that the background of the "Presidential Election" funds of 1992 must be investigated and 92 percent said that his son Kim Hyon Chol should be brought to court.
Commenting on this fact, a news analyst of Rodong Sinmun today says:
The poll indicates that south Korean people brand Kim Young Sam and his son as the principal culprits of the Hanbo financial scandal and call for taking a judicial action against them.
Kim Young Sam lined his own pocket and fattened comprador businesses by illegally circulating a colossal amount of money amounting to nearly 6 trillion won, putting the south Korean society in a serious political and economic crisis and the livelihood of the people in a critical condition.
Kim Young Sam regime is a target of bitter condemnation.
No matter how desperately it may try, it cannot escape from the political and economic crisis.
Multi-part feature film "The Nation and Destiny" released
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- Part 7 of KAPF writers of the multi-part feature film "the Nation and Destiny" (part 40) was released.
The film shows that by the help of woman writer Kang Kyong Ae Ri Chan, the hero of the film, comes to read immortal masterpieces created by President Kim Il Sung and revolutionary songs and has relations with a revolutionary organization with the great joy of being led by the true teacher, the great leader.
He is sentenced to death for the reason that he wrote revolutionary poems, but he, not disappointed, asks his friends to go to Mt. Paektu from which a bright sun shines all over the world, emphasizing that true literature can be created only under the leadership of a great leader.
The film was seen by vice-presidents Ri Jong Ok, Pak Song Chol and Kim Pyong Sik and other senior party and government officials at the people's palace of culture on April 5.
South Korean puppets must not act blindly
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- Chief of naval operations Yu Sam Nam prattled that "a perfect posture should be established to cope with the north's possible provocations" through the sea. Commenting on his remarks, Rodong Sinmun today says:
The assumption of office of the military hooligan and his provocative utterances are part of the "military renovation" following the "reform of party and administration" by Kim Young Sam. This indicates that the puppets are trying hard to intensify the confrontation and war manoeuvres against the north.
The replacement of the military henchman and the frantic arms buildup prove that the puppets intend to put their criminal attempt into practice.
The danger of war by the puppets on the Korean peninsula, which is causing apprehensions at home and abroad, is not imaginary but imminent.
No matter how desperately the Kim Young Sam group are floundering, there is no way out for them.
The adventurous provocation of the puppets will precipitate their final destruction.
The Kim Young Sam group must not act blindly.
