S. Korean puppets denounced for ridiculous argument about "unification"
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- With a view to slandering the system in north Korea, the south Korean puppets are spreading the fiction of "instability" and crying for coping with "possible developments" and establishing a "full-time organisation for reunification".
In another development, the Minister of the "National Unification Board" during his visit to Japan said that Japan's cooperation is important because the unification of the Korean Peninsula is a problem of the international community.
The Kim Young Sam group, struck with fear to hear words of reunification from among the south Korean people and students, are invoking the fascist "National Security Law" to suppress them. The world people are criticising Kim Young Sam for obstructing the efforts for national reunification. In August last year the Kim Young Sam group suppressed the patriotic reunification movement of the south Korean students at the point of bayonet.
It is the height of impudence for the group to talk about unification.
The group have no intention to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the nation.
Their argument about "unification" is no more than a trick to cover up their crimes they committed against the nation as the separatists.
The south Korean puppets are now in the grip of serious politico-economic crisis. It is ridiculous for them to talk about the "instability" of the system in the north Korea and to try to realize such a daydream as "unification by prevailing over communism" with the backing of outsiders.
The man-centered socialism of Korean style is not affected by the fast-changing international situation, but growing stronger with each passing day.
The people and army in the northern half of Korea have an absolute trust in their own system and are ready to become human bombs to defend it.
The south Korean puppets should be mindful that their attempt to undermine the system and do harm to the people and army is as foolish as trying to break a rock with an egg.
S. Koreans urged to struggle for new regime
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- The Central Committees of the General Federation of Trade Unions and the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and other public organizations in the DPRK made public an appeal to the south Korean people on Thursday.
The appeal said that all the people in the south should vigorously turn out in the patriotic popular uprising to topple the corrupt "civilian" regime and establish an independent and democratic, new government.
Democratic politics can be found nowhere in south Korea and the "national assembly" has been reduced to a foul waiting maid of power, who protects the "civilian"
dictatorship, it pointed out, and said: Even, an unemployed idler without any official duty is manipulating, at the back of his father, all the "state affairs" and the ruling party to act as a little king of irregularities. And all shades of statesmen are appropriating "national funds" with the help of power, putting society in disorder.
The present regime's corruptness and incompetency have been driving the south Korean economy to a phase of total bankruptcy and the people's livelihood to the greatest misery. Notwithstanding this, some blinders of the political upper strata are "compromising" with Kim Young Sam and currying favour with him. This is nothing but a drama of accomplices to save themselves.
With Kim Young Sam remaining in power, the people in the south will go deep into misfortune and, furthermore, the entire fellow countrymen will suffer from it, the appeal said, and stressed.
The people from all sectors in south Korea should count the crimes of the Kim Young Sam "civilian" group and scathingly break with him.
They should give a strong alarm to those who are "compromising" with Kim Young Sam, afraid of his threat "fellow-suicide".
Workers and other people should add fuel to the already-kindled flames of struggle to totally nullify the fascist labour law and the "law on the agency for national security
Planning".
Rodong Sinmun on political farce
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- The "hearing at the national assembly" now under way in south Korea is a compromising burlesque between Kim Young Sam who is trying to flee from the responsibility for the crimes as the principal culprit of the Hanbo loan scandal and stay longer in power and the opposition party charlatans who are involved in the scandal, says Rodong Sinmun today.
The analyst goes on: There is a Korean saying that a thief cannot catch the other thief.
The recent "hearing" convinced the south Koreans that with the Kim Young Sam group remaining in power, it is impossible to prevent such power-backed scandals as an acute cancer prevalent in south Korea and to bring social justice and democracy.
The south Korean people from all walks of life should not be deceived by the appeasement and trick of Kim Young Sam, the principal culprit of the Hanbo corruption scandal, and the opposition party charlatans who are in league with the traitor, but continue their already-started struggle for the probe into the truth behind the Hanbo incident as well as the struggle against Kim Young Sam and fascist law.
War drills under fire
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today comments on the war drills codenamed "97 Rsoi" and "Hoguk-97" in south Korea.
At a time when south Korea is in the grip of unprecedented political and economic crisis, the puppets are carrying on the adventurous war rehearsals with outside forces. This is a premeditated provocative move to further key up the situation of the Korean Peninsula and drive the situation to a worst phase, the news analyst says and goes on: The war drills are attributable to the despicable intrigues of a master and a stooge who are gripped by uneasiness over the crisis of the traitorous "government".
Although the United States has promised the improvement of relations with the DPRK through the DPRK-U.S. framework agreement, it is launching war exercises against the northern half of Korea together with the puppets, which is a behaviour of turning down the framework agreement and a betrayal to the DPRK.
The right of choice rests not with the U.S. only.
We cannot tolerate the Kim Young Sam group, who are faced with deepest ruling crisis for their traitorous crimes, in trying to find a way out in confrontation and war moves against the northern half of Korea.
Once a serious situation occurs on the Korean Peninsula, the responsibility for it will be held entirely by the U.S. hawkish elements and the warlike south Korean puppets.

Conspicuous in the paper is a political essay underlining that to hold in high esteem President Kim Il Sung for all ages as the leader of revolution is an unshakable faith of the Korean people.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "On Vigorously Continuing the Struggle to Correct Working Method and Style", the paper runs an article headlined "wise leadership in establishing President Kim Il Sung's method of work".
Seen in the paper is a revolutionary anecdote saying Secretary Kim Jong Il led officials to work in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.
Minju Joson carries an article saying the famous revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Jong Il" is the one of praise and faith of the Korean people for the peerless great man and reflections of the song upon people of various strata.
Papers inform the readers of the completion of the UNDP-assisted projects.

Kim Young Sam group hit for frantic suppression of "Hanchongryon"
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- The director of the youth and student affairs department of the C.C, National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) issued a press statement on April 7 denouncing the Kim Young Sam group for their suppressive move against the South Korean Federation Of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon), which is getting more vicious nowadays, the Seoul-based radio voice of national salvation said.
The Kim Young Sam group are scheming to obliterate, at one sweep, "Hanchongryon," the vanguard organization of one million students by means of hardening the "new security-oriented" suppression of campus movement and escalating behind-the-scene subversive work against it, the statement said, criticising it as a vicious challenge to students and people of various strata aspiring after independence, democracy and reunification.
The Kim Young Sam group have sunk into a worst crisis and they are making effort to find a way out in obliterating "Hanchongryon" and, furthermore, stamping out all pro-democracy forces, it noted, saying:
The NDFSK strongly urges the Kim Young Sam group to suspend, at once, the fascist suppression and subversive moves against "Hanchongryon" and immediately release the arrested patriotic students.
If the Kim Young Sam group persist in suppression of "Hanchongryon" turning a deaf ear to popular sentiments and the trend of times, it will precipitate their shameful destruction, the statement warned.

Spokesman for DPRK For. Ministry on treaty on building of nuclear-free zone in southeast Asia
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- A treaty on the building of a nuclear-free zone in southeast Asia has recently taken effect.
The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea today answered a question put by KCNA in this regard.
He said:
We have considered that the treaty on the building of a nuclear-free zone in southeast Asia conforms to the desire of the people in the region for the denuclearisation of Asia and the rest of the world, and welcome the effectuation of the treaty through legal procedures.
It is stipulated in the treaty that the signatories to the treaty are obliged to ban the development, production, stockpile, keeping, introduction and use of nuclear arms in this region.
The point is that nuclear states should immediately approve all the principles of the treaty and commit themselves to provide security guarantee.
The nuclear states should secure a practical guarantee for feasibility of a nuclear-free zone and join in the worldwide trend for denuclearisation.
It is the same case as regards peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.
We have always made sincere efforts for peace and denuclearisation on the Korean Peninsula.
The denuclearisation has not yet been realised and the old legacy of the Cold War still remains, though. This is entirely attributed to the anachronistic U.S. Korea policy.
The United States is shipping huge combat equipment into south Korea to coninuously provide the south Korean authorities with nuclear umbrella. And it has encouraged their reckless arms buildup and never-ceasing military provocation moves and taken an active part in them.
It can be said that the prospects for the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula depend on the attitude and stand of the U.S. one of nuclear states.
