Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- A large picture of President Kim Il Sung meeting Guinean President Lansana Conte was hung in Guinea with due ceremony on the occasion of April 15, his birthday. The participants in the ceremony laid a floral basket and made a bow before the picture hanging at the building of the Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science. The director of the institute said: "We'll, cherishing deep in our mind the pride and honor of working at the institute with the august name of his excellency President Kim Il Sung, the great leader, invigorate our scientific research to carry out to the letter his behests and add lustre to the dignity and honor of the institute." Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- A ceremony of hanging the portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Secretary Kim Jong Il was held in Nepal on April 12. The portraits were hung at the international forum office. Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- A ceremony of laying a floral basket and bouquets before the Statue of President Kim Il Sung took place in Mongolia on April 12. Overseas Korean artistes sing of national pride

Talks between NDFSK and Italian delegations

Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates a signed article headlined "undying work replete with noble revolutionary philosophy of greatest man" to the 15th anniversary of the publication of President Kim Il Sung's famous work "The Life of a Revolutionary Should Begin With Struggle and End With Struggle". The work, which was published on April 15, 1982, represents the great life of the President dedicated to the people and carries the great revolutionary philosophy he regarded as his maxim in his protracted and glorious career. It is also an undying revolutionary encyclopedia which is very instrumental in further tightening the bonds of kinship between the President and the Korean people with the victorious advance of the Juche revolutionary cause. Vice-President Ri Jong Ok meets Italian delegation

U.S. to donate food to DPRK

Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- The U.S. government on Tuesday decided to supply 50,000 tons of food worth about d15 million to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in response to an appeal of the world food programme. Earlier, on Feb. 19, it decided to offer d10 million worth food to the DPRK through the WFP. The decisions are humanitarian steps taken with regard to the DPRK's food problem following two years of floods.
