President Kim Il Sung devoted to Korea's reunification
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Pedro Margolles, General Director of the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina, on April 16 published an article entitled "President Kim Il Sung has invincible revolutionary faith" on the occasion of the 85th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
President Kim Il Sung was a great statesman who led the Korean people to victory for a long time, said the article, and went on:
"After the Korean Peninsula was artificially divided, he dedicated everything to Korea's reunification, overcoming all difficulties in the struggle against imperialist moves of aggression and for the construction of Korea as today.
"The President proposed reunifying the country through confederal formula based on one nation, one state, two systems and two governments. The proposal is a fair and practical one to reunify the country independently, peacefully and at the earliest date, with neither side conquering the other because different ideas and systems exist in the north and south of Korea.
"I always remember the President's active support to the Cuban people's struggle.
"President Kim Il Sung's brilliant life and exploits will remain forever in the hearts of all the progressive people in the world."

Rodong Sinmun runs an article titled "city of smelters tells of noble love" and Minju Joson an article titled "benevolence related to Songrim" 30 years since Secretary Kim Jong Il in company with President Kim Il Sung visited the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex on April 22, 1967.
Papers inform the readers that senior party and state officials and working people laid wreaths before the statue and tomb of Kang Pan Sok, an indomitable revolutionary fighter, on the occasion of her 105th birth anniversary.
Printed in the press is a statement issued by Choe Ryong Hae, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, on the Kim Young Sam group's suppression of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils and students under it.
The leader of the Japan New Party Sakigake and her entourage went round the flood-hit area in Sohung county, North Hwanghae Province, say the press.
Rodong Sinmun conveys news reports on the Hanbo incident, a commentary on the dog fight between Kim Young Sam and his servants in political circles of south Korea, an inevitable result of corrupt politics, and an article titled "corrupt regime from birth to death."

Japanese guests learn about flood damage in Korea
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Akiko Domoto, leader of the Japan New Party Sakigake and member of the House of Councillors, and her entourage went round the flood-hit area in Sohung county, North Hwanghae Province on April 20.
They learned about the flood damage and rehabilitation process in the area.
On April 21 they heard about the flood damage and rehabilitation in Korea from officials concerned.
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- The visit to the Yasukuni Shrine which the Japanese reactionaries are now calling for is part of the moves to repeat the history of aggression and crime by imbuing the people with militarism, says Rodong Sinmun today.
In an article the daily says:
Preserved in the shrine are memorial tablets of Hideki Tojo and other top-class criminals who made themselves infamous in world war ii and of those who died in aggression of other nations.
This is why the people of the nations denounce the Japanese cabinet members' visit to the shrine as an open insult to their feelings and as a dangerous act aimed at reviving militarism.
The visit to the shrine has become an official political event of Japanese Ministers under the patronage of the government authorities, who are trying to internationalize it.
The Japanese reactionaries, in the hope of reinvading Asia, have accelerated military buildup while laying an ideological foundation. For this purpose, they are fostering militarism through the visit to the shrine.
What they are seeking through the visit to the shine is to laud the war dead as "heroes" and "patriots" and encourage the people to follow them in overseas aggression.
The fact shows that the Japanese reactionaries' moves for overseas aggression have entered a practical stage.
Japan's moves to repeat history of aggression
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Ryong, a "lawmaker" from the "New Korea Party" of south Korea, in a recent press interview he called after he was investigated by the prosecution over the Hanbo incident, accused Kim Hyon Chol of spoiling state politics and said that Kim Young Sam is victimizing the political camp, especially the "democratic faction", in order to protect his son.
Another "lawmaker" from the "NKP" So Sok Jae also made similar remarks attacking Kim Hyon Chol.
Commenting on this internal feud between Kim Young Sam and his servants in political circles of south Korea, Rodong Sinmun today brands it as an inevitable result of corrupt politics. The daily notes:
The "support rate" of south Korean public for the Kim Young Sam regime is reportedly no more than three percent. A rumor about Kim Young Sam's resignation is in vogue even in political circles. Kim Young Sam is throwing away his confidential servants like a pair of wornout shoes to evade from the crisis, conceal the crimes committed by him and his son and remain in power. Kim Tok Ryong and other vassals who have been left to the mercy of the prosecution continue revenging themselves on Kim Young Sam and his son.
Kim Young Sam is a rare political swindler who unhesitatingly sacrifices even his faithful servants for his greed of power and accumulation of wealth, and south Korean "politicians" have no political creed and seek only personal comfort and fortune.
The dog fight within the puppet ruling group predicts that the end of the corrupt regime of Kim Young Sam is drawing near.
Kim Young Sam group denounced for suppression of "Hanchongryon"
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, issued a statement to the press on April 21 denouncing the Kim Young Sam fascist group for more harshly cracking down upon the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) and its affiliated students.
Some time ago, the fascist clique, in a bid to foil a meeting of the fifth-term deputies to "Hanchongryon", blockaded Chonnam National University, the venue of the meeting, with the mobilisation of heavily armed riot police.
In the wake of it, they issued warrants for arrest of the hardcore members of the organisation and threw out a dragnet for them, the statement said, and noted:
This is a premeditated and deliberate move to bind the pro-reunification patriotic south Korean students in fetters of fascism, totally stamp out their movement for independence, democracy and reunification and thus escape from the present ruling crisis. It is also one more crime to block the democratic development of south Korean society.
The present situation obtaining in south Korea clearly shows that with Kim Young Sam group left intact, the noble idea of independence, democracy and reunification cannot be realised, nor can the future of the students can be expected.
The south Korean students should turn out daringly in the decisive resistance to cut off the windpipe of the dying Kim Young Sam group and kindle a fiercer flame of the struggle for overthrowing the "civilian"-veiled fascist dictatorship all over south Korea.
All the students in the northern half of Korea will as ever extend full support and encouragement to the just, patriotic struggle of the south Korean students to overthrow Kim Young Sam group and build a reunified country, independent and democratic.
