Kim Young Sam group shoud be punished by nation
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- There are moves in south Korea these days to fuel the confrontation and tension between the north and the south. They are a premeditated action of the Kim Young Sam group to bridge over the serious ruling crisis by inciting a war atmosphere.
The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland stressed this in its information No. 738 published on Monday.
The information said:
The traitorous "civilian" group, unable to put down the people's anti-Kim Young Sam struggle with fascist repression and deception, are now clamouring about "threat" from the north, as they did so often in the past. In this way they are trying to divert the public attention within and without elsewhere and tide over the worst crisis.
It is well illustrated by the outrageous armed provocation of June 5, when warships of the puppets intruded deep into the territorial waters of the DPRK on the West Sea, fired shells at our peaceful fishing boats and attempted to kidnap them.
However, such criminal war moves will only precipitate their own destruction.
The Kim Young Sam group must awake from the foolish daydream of bridging over the present crisis through reckless military confrontation and war moves, immediately step down and face a stern punishment by the nation, as unanimously demanded by the fellow countrymen.
Prelude to new fascist offensive
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today brands the Kim Young Sam group's new fascist offensive to stifle the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) as an intentional and premeditated move.
Recently, the south Korean puppets have spread a false rumor that "Hanchongryon" leadership issued a "directive" on confining the blame for the death of a young citizen to a few students. The puppets also ordered universities to "heavily discipline" those who played the leading role in the inaugural ceremony of "Hanchongryon", close down its offices at all campuses and "totally block violent demonstrations".
The news analyst goes on:
It has been widely known that the puppets are trying to obliterate "Hanchongryon" which is leading the movement for independence, democracy and reunification and the struggle against Kim Young Sam and the "New Korea Party" by branding it as "violent forces benefitting the enemy".
The puppets' suppression of "Hanchongryon" has reached an extremely reckless stage and "Hanchongryon" is faced with graver danger.
It is as clear as noonday that their suppression will lead to a scorched-earth operation against all the pro- reunification, pro-democracy forces in south Korea.
The puppets must squarely see the trend of the times, discontinue the suppression of "Hanchongryon" at once and release all the arrested students without delay.
Guidelines for expansion of South-South Cooperation
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson on Tuesday carried an article to mark the 10th anniversary of the publication of the historic work of President Kim Il Sung "Let Us Develop South- South Cooperation".
The author of the article says:
South-South Cooperation is, in essence, an international movement of the peoples of the politically independent, developing countries to win economic freedom and sovereignty, as was elucidated by the President in the work:
South-South Cooperation is a new economic system whereby the developing countries achieve independent development through mutual economic and technical cooperation by meeting each other's needs. It is quite different from the capitalist economic system based on the law of the jungle.
Collective self-reliance is a basic principle in south-south cooperation. It is an independent international movement of the developing countries to help one another for the realization of their common purpose and interests without expecting "assistance" or "donation" from the developed countries.
Only when the non-aligned and developing countries adhere to the principle of collective self-reliance can they successfully put into effect South-South Cooperation in the spirit of independence, solidarity and cooperation, not depending on the developed countries.
Complete equality and mutual benefit is one of the basic principles of South-South Cooperation.
They should develop cooperation and exchanges for genuinely helping each other and promoting mutual interests, irrespective of the size of the territory and the degree of economic and cultural development, so that economic independence can be achieved and South-South Cooperation may be a model of the absolutely fair and equal international economic relationship.
The developing countries should establish a global system of preferential trade, expand barter and other forms of trade on the principle of mutual benefit and strive to give substantial assistance to the development of the national economy by giving loans with low interest or without interest.
What is important in South-South Cooperation is that the developing countries should put it into practice, mindful that this is their own concern to promote the common interests. To this end, they should have common views and attitude, intensify mutual political support, strive to implement the resolutions and action programmes adopted at international conferences, and constantly explore the positive forms and methods of broadening the scope of cooperation and enhancing its effectiveness.
S. Korean authorities' scheme to arrest leaders of "Hanchongryon"
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The "civilian"-veiled fascist clique of south Korea scheme to arrest more than 200 leaders of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) in an attempt to disintegrate it, according to a radio report from Seoul.
Among them are the leaders of the third- and fourth-term "Hanchongryon" as well as the cadres of the present fifth term.
It was also announced that the "joint headquarters of investigation into leftist criminals" involving the prosecution, police, the "Agency for National Security Planning" and the "Defence Security Command" would discuss specific measures to undermine "Hanchongryon".
Such a total offensive fully reveals the fascist and anti- people nature of the "civilian"-veiled regime, which is on the verge of ruin.

Rodong Sinmun gives an account of ceremonies held in different countries on the third anniversary of the death of President Kim Il Sung.
Under the fixed title "They always worked together for the people" the paper edits an article headlined "Immortal with dignity of the country", illustrated by a picture of President Kim Il Sung and Secretary Kim Jong Il going round the Mansudae Assembly Hall in April 1982.
Given in the press is an account of a Pyongyang meeting held to mark the 71st anniversary of the June 10 Independence Movement against Japanese imperialism.

Seminar on future of Okinawa held in Japan
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The Japanese Society for the Study of Kimilsungism held a seminar on the subject of "Let us open up the future of Okinawa by ourselves" a few days ago.
A report on the situation in the Korean Peninsula was followed by speeches at the seminar.
The speakers said that the U.S. military bases in Okinawa are being reinforced on the pretext of the tense situation in the peninsula and called for deeper study of the Juche idea and contribution to furthering the movement for Japan-DPRK friendship.
It is important to boost friendship between Okinawa and the DPRK and contribute to peace in Asia, they added.
KSC lambastes Kim Young Sam regime's crackdown on "Hanchongryon"
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The Korean Student Committee made public an open letter on Tuesday condemning the Kim Young Sam regime's harsh suppression of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) involving one million students.
The letter said:
In south Korea the autonomous activities of the student organization which had been continued over the past ten years have been totally banned and students arrested. Some university student councils have quitted "Hanchongryon", egged on by the puppet Agency for National Security Planning (ANSP), and moves have been seen to hurt the student organization.
Some dishonest students who have betrayed their honor and conscience for money given by the "ANSP" are favoring the south Korean puppet authorities in cracking down on "Hanchongryon" by branding its righteous activities as "leftist, pro-communist activities benefitting the enemy".
They, on clandestine instructions of the "ANSP", are charging that the student organization only seeks fighting, "unaware of its intrinsic duty and role".
It is the Kim Young Sam regime that compels "Hanchongryon" to engage in fighting. The regime has resorted to the unprecedented fascist rule under the "civilian" veil.
The blame for the casualties at the time of the inaugural ceremony of the fifth-term "Hanchongryon" does not rest with the organization, but with the "ANSP" and Kim Young Sam, who ordered the brutal crackdown on the students' peaceful event.
Some university student councils, ignoring the truth, have quitted "Hanchongryon" allegedly to seek a new student movement, instigated by "ANSP" hirelings. Among the universities are those which took the lead in the anti-dictatorship, pro-democracy struggle of south Korean students in the past.
If a university rejects the lawful student organization, which has grown stronger through such heroic activities of students as the April 19, June 10 pro-democracy and August 15 Yonsei campus struggle, such an act is as good as hurting its own proud tradition and honor by itself.
The patriotic-minded students of "Hanchongryon" must exercise utmost vigilance, find out and ostracize those who try to disintegrate "Hanchongryon" on the instructions of the "ANSP", thus foiling its plots.
South Korea's venal media which help the "ANSP" in its efforts to stifle "Hanchongryon" must take a proper attitude and stand befitting genuine press faithfully serving the people.
Those who are calling for the disorganization of "Hanchongryon", a reunification vanguard, are philistines who have lost face as politicians. They must clearly know that what should be dissolved at once in south Korea is not "Hanchongryon" but the "ANSP", which plays every conceivable trick to obliterate the pro-reunification, pro-democracy forces.
Papers on anniversary of U.S. troop pullout from Libya
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Papers here today dedicate articles to the 27th anniversary of the abolition of the U.S. military bases and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Libya.
Rodong Sinmun in a signed article notes that after the victory of revolution, the Libyan Arab people completely drove the U.S. forces out of their country on June 11, 1970 through resolute fighting against the military base policy of imperialists.
The imperialists have persistenly tried to block the Libyan people's building of a new life, but in vain, the article says, and goes on:
The Libyan people with confidence in their just cause are shattering the moves of imperialists against Libya and promoting the building of a new society under the leadership of Col. Moammer El Gaddafi, leader of the Great September First Revolution.
Minju Joson in a signed article says that the Korean people extend full support and solidarity to the just struggle of the Libyan people to defend national dignity and independence.
600-year-old royal seal discovered in Korea
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- A large number of legendary stories about the greatness of President Kim Il Sung are being told among the Korean people nowadays when the third anniversary of his death is approaching.
Among them is a story about the discovery of a royal seal which had been hidden for 600 years in Korea.
One early morning in may 1992, President Kim Il Sung left for a royal tomb situated on a mountain ridge eight kilometres northwest of Kaesong. At that time, he was at the age of 80.
While on this journey, he took a meal and occasionally had to walk. At last, he arrived at the tomb. He silently looked for a while at the tomb which has existed, experiencing the history of Korea woven with vicissitudes.
He went round the tomb with keen interest. He said that Wang Kon was the founder of Koryo, the first united dynasty of Korea.
He taught that the tomb must be confirmed and rebuilt so well that it may befit the founder of Koryo, adding that the tomb could not be preserved well because of the invasion by outsiders.
Upon hearing the news that the President visited the tomb of Wang Kon to glorify the history of the nation, an old man called on a senior official with a box containing valuables and asked him to convey it to the President.
Contained in it were a royal seal used by Wang Kon and the genealogical records of his family.
As the Ri dynasty killed the Wang family members, one of them fled to a mountain village with the royal seal and the genealogical records.
Since then, 600 years had passed. The descendants of the founder of Koryo had preserved the royal seal and the genealogical records as a family treasure, reluctant to tell the origin of their family to others.
They were happy to hear that the President visited the tomb of Wang Kon and thanked him.
The old man of the Wang family said:
"Indeed, our leader is the sun. Should Wang Kon rise again, he would hand the royal seal to the peerlessly great man".
