Meetings took place at Jong Jun Thaek Wonsan University of Economics and Cha Kwang Su Sinuiju University of Education No.1 on June 27 and 28. Speakers said that with no violence and no intrigues the Kim Young Sam fascist clique can block the struggle of south Korean students for justice and patriotism. They also held that the Kim Young Sam fascist clique should stop repressive moves against "Hanchongryon" at once, release the arrested patriotic students unconditionally and step down immediately.

Desperate efforts of fascist tyrant

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- The puppet prosecution of south Korea held a "meeting of the headquarters of joint investigation of leftist offenders" some time ago, at which they decided to take a "legal action" on three stages against the cadres who fail to secede from the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) till the end of June. And the puppet police issued an order to arrest 147 leading members of "Hanchongryon" including its Chairman Kang Wi Won and scattered 200,000 leaflets related to it across south Korea. Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this shows that the reckless white terrorism of the puppets to stifle "Hanchongryon" and patriotic student movement is reaching the climax. The daily notes: "Hanchongryon" will neither be daunted nor disorganized by the intrigues and fascist sword-brandishing of the Kim Young Sam group. It is foolish to try to dissolve this organisation. Kim Young Sam must stop suppression of the students' righteous activities and step down at once.

Rodong Sinmun lambastes Japan for seeking overseas expansion

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- The Director General of the Defence Agency of Japan, Fumio Kyuma, voiced the intention to revise the law on the "Self-Defence Forces" so that inspection of vessels by the "SDF" in high seas in emergency around Japan and use of "SDF" ships in rescuing Japanese in disputed areas may be possible. Commenting on the fact, Rodong Sinmun today says it shows that the Japanese reactionaries are persistently seeking overseas expansion through the revision of the law. The daily says: The inspection of vessels and the use of "SDF" ships mean military activities of the "SDF" outside the boundary of Japan, which is just what the reactionaries want. The "SDF" law prohibits military action abroad. This is why the reactionaries are trying to legalize military activities of the "SDF" abroad through the revision of the law. They, who have made full preparations for overseas expansion, intend to launch aggression of other countries after eliminating all things obstructive to it. Overseas expansion and militarism are not a way out for Japan. A precipice is waiting for Japan's war chariot.

S. Korean puppets, Chosun Ilbo deserve merciless punishment

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Our people will revenge themselves on the south Korean puppets and the reactionaries of the Chosun Ilbo newspaper and firmly defend the political system, they value more than their lives, without slightest vacillation under any conditions. The spokesman for the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland said this in today's statement berating the daily for having carried an editorial on June 24 slandering the north's political system. The statement bitterly condemns the slander as a premeditated crime for destroying the socialism of the north. It says: The ridiculous editorial does not deserve even a passing note. Now that the daily abused our system under the manipulation of the puppet Agency for National Security Planning, we will deliver a heavy retaliatory blow at it. It is the revolutionary spirit of our people to mercilessly punish the provokers. Our counteraction will put an end to the daily's existence. We believe that south Korean people will take a serious view of the crime of Chosun Ilbo, which brings disaster to the nation, and severely punish the criminals.
