Who are human rights violators?
Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) - The Foreign Minister of south Korea reportedly slandered the north at the 52nd session of the UN General Assembly on September 29 over "violation of civil rights and basic freedom" and "imprisonment of many political prisoners."
A U.S. television telecast on September 26 a "press conference" of those who defected to south Korea sponsored by a U.S. defence foundation in the U.S. at the conference the defectors accused the DPRK of "violating human rights" and called for "exercise of U.S. influence," saying that the time is not quite ripe for the international community to render food assistance to north Korea.
There is no problem of human rights in the DPRK. The fiction of "human rights issue" is a fabrication of the south Korean against the north.
The human rights of all people are guaranteed by law and not the slightest violation of them is allowed under the socialist system, which values humankind most.
In the DPRK the citizens substantially exercise genuine independent rights in all spheres of political, economic and cultural life and enjoy all possible rights including employment, food, clothing, housing, education and medical treatment.
This undeniable reality is admired by people around the world.
By raising a hue and cry over "human rights issue of north Korea" the south Korean intend to conceal the serious human rights violations in south Korea and divert world attention elsewhere. Their sinister intention, however, can never be realised.
South Korea is notorious for human rights violations.
Now more than 70,000 guiltless people are subjected to political persecution in some 40 prisons. Kim In So, Kim Yong Thae and Ham Se Hwan, unconverted long-term prisoners, are undergoing psycological and physical sufferings, not allowed to return to the north where their kith and kin are waiting. The "civilian" regime mobilizes even the "defence security command" of the puppet army in surveillance over student movement, with a view to obliterating the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils.
They are a few examples of human rights violations in south Korea.
As for those who appeared at the "press conference," they are human scum who fled to south Korea, abandoning their parents, wives and children, afraid of judicial punishment for their grave crimes such as "embezzlement of public property" and "personal abuse." They are not qualified at all to talk about human rights. Through the anti-DPRK campaign with such renegades, the puppets will get nothing but criticism and scorn from the international community.
We issue a warning to some U.S. Forces against their encouragement to the south Korean puppets in inter-Korean confrontation and their conspiracy in the anti-DPRK campaign.
Their behavior will have a bad effect on the improvement of DPRK-U.S. ties.
The south Korean puppets must review their own serious human rights situation, rather than resort to the wornout false propaganda over human rights in the DPRK.
The dishonest forces of the U.S. must realise that conspiracy will result in an unpredictable situation.
We will watch their future attitude.

Speech of head of DPRK delegation at meeting of group of 77
Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- The head of the DPRK delegation made a speech at the meeting of foreign ministers of the group of 77 which was held on September 26 during the 52nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He said, "it is an important task for us to overcome the negative influence of the present inequitable international economic relations and to provide a favourable international situation for the development and growth of the developing countries."
He continued:
I consider that the 52nd session of the UN General Assembly should pay special attention to following issues when adopting measures for the policy of international development.
First, international cooperation for development should be one for assistance to the national efforts of the developing countries to achieve social progress and lasting economic growth.
The extraterritorial measures of some developed countries to eliminate and control the government role of developing countries while universalizing human rights, environment and national laws and standards should be rejected resolutely.
The group of 77 should take joint action against the unilateral economic sanctions imposed by developed countries on developing countries for political reasons.
Second, the UN system should be strengthened in socio-economic field to remove imbalance in the international economic relations and accelerate international cooperation.
The UN reform in socio-economic field which is under way should not end in "reduction" or "simplification" of the UN organization but should be accelerated in the direction of enhaning the role of UN in this domain.
The UN function of development should be regarded as important as peace keeping, human rights and humanism and should be strengthened to effectively meet the demand of developing countries.
Third, dynamic, positive efforts should be made with firmer political will for south-south cooperation.
The measures taken for south-south cooperation should be materialised to enhance the role of national organs of each country and further strengthen the activities of the existing cooperation organizations.
We support measures taken by the group of 77 for strengthening coordination and solidarity between branches and member nations in various UN organizations and for enhanching the effect of the organizations.
Secy. Kim Jong Il's leadership is secret of north's stability
Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- Jo Song Il, member of the Society for the Study of Independence of South Korea, published an article titled "north's stability, its secret", according to the Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation.
The article said:
The brilliant and tested leadership of general Kim Jong Il, who led the people in the north to have strong faith and will without despair and pessimism and gave them wisdom and courage to overcome difficulties, is the secret of the stability of the north.
Over the past three years since President Kim Il Sung passed away, the north has overcome manifold hardships under the red flag of socialism. This fact shows there is no one who doubts about the stability of the north's system.
In the north there is no "feud between hard-liners and moderates" and "internal political strife." On the contrary, people of all strata often rally to vow to uphold the leader with loyalty and filial piety and to defend socialist system, and the Party, the army and the people unite and do all for farming to achieve self-sufficiency in food, on the orders of the Supreme Commander.
In the north, the leader, Party and masses form a socio-political organism under the Juche-oriented politics of the respected general Kim Jong Il.
Never will the northern society be shaken, a society where the people are closely rallied around the political leader and share their destiny with the socialist system.
Nuclear bomb is not enough to blow it up.
In the 21st century, humanity will meet a new era of dynamic advance along the road of independence with Juche Korea under general Kim Jong Il at the centre.
