Paper on anti-DPRK campaign of US

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today comments on the war discussions the bosses of U.S. military and intelligence service had with the south Korean puppets. The discussions came at a time when the U.A. and Japanese reactionaries and the south Korean puppets were staging military exercises in and around the Korean Peninsula. The news analyst says: The war preparations against the DPRK being made behind the facade of dialogue are an open challenge to and a mockery of the dialogue partner. The discussions are a product of the south Korean puppets' complaint and desperate effort for "government" security. In response to their complaint and begging, the U.S. is holding "consultations" and promising "cooperation" in a bid to give an impetus to the dying south Korean puppets, egg them on to fratricidal war and stifle the DPRK with military strength. The method of strength does not work on the DPRK. The DPRK is technically at war with the united states. If the U.S. unleashes war, we will make counterattack and wipe them out. The U.S. and the south Korean puppets must act with discretion, mindful of what consequences their "cooperation system" will make.

Paper on Foal Eagle joint military maneuvers

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today comments on the recent provocative foal eagle joint military maneuvers of the U.S. warhawks and the south Korean puppets. The news analyst says: It was entirely due to our sincere, patient efforts for peace and self-restraint that the Foal Eagle did not develop into real war against the DPRK. We cannot remain a passive onlooker to the south Korean and foreign warmongers getting on the nerves of the DPRK, posing threats to the DPRK and rendering the situation of the country extremely strained with more military maneuvers, despite our repeated warning. The Foal Eagle was an aggressive field exercise aimed at surprise attack on the DPRK and a version of the Team Spirit test nuclear war against the DPRK in view of the numerical strength and military equipment involved in the exercise. "Peacekeeping on the Korean Peninsula" and "negotiated solution" called for by the U.S. and the puppets are a lie to conceal their war preparations against the DPRK. It has become clearer that they scheme to unleash war against the DPRK. We cannot but take legitimate countermeasures.

The confederacy formula will remove the root cause of tension from the Korean Peninsula and help establish a peace mechanism, which will contribute to peace in Asia and the rest of the world.

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The Korean people extend warm congratulations and militant greetings to the Palestinian people who are actively fighting for the cause of justice on the 9th anniversary of the proclamation of the Palestinian state, Rodong Sinmun today in a commentary says, and goes on: The proclamation of the Palestinian state enabled the Palestinian people to more vigorously struggle for the country's independence and national liberation on a new high level. The Palestinian people are making efforts to oppose Israel's policy of territorial expansion and revive the peace process. The Korean people side with the Palestinian people in their fighting to restore their legitimate national rights and fully support their just cause. This position will remain unchanged in the future.

O Ik Je exchanges views with officials

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- O Ik Je who was Permanent Advisor to the "National Congress for New Politics" of south Korea, Advisor to the National Congress for Independent and Peaceful Reunification and former leader of the central headquarters of Chondoism of south Korea, met with officials of the north headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland on November 14. In an atmosphere overflowing with compatriotic feelings they informed each other of the efforts made in the north and south of Korea for the reunification of the country and exchanged views on different issues. O Ik Je said for an early realisation of the country's reunification, great national unity should be achieved and, to this end, it is necessary for the whole nation to give priority to their cherished desire and, on this basis, promote unity, regardless of the differences in idea, political view, religious belief and property. It is important to hold fast to the Juche-based stand of the nation in the struggle for national reunification, he noted, and continued: "To give up this position is as good as opposing reunification. "President Kim Il Sung elucidated the principle and way of national reunification and all other matters. In this sense, 'Let us carry out the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung's instructions for national reunification', a famous work of the leader Kim Jong Il, is of weighty historic importance= it adds to the conviction and will for national reunification." O Ik Je went on to say that he is ready to do anything for the reunification of the country. He expressed the willingness to work together with the officials of the north.

Wet blanket over atmosphere for improved DPRK-Japan ties

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- A few days ago, the Japanese Sankei Shimbun in an article entitled "abducted Japanese are 50" groundlessly slandered the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Carrying a testimony of a foreign woman who was allegedly released after being "abducted" by the DPRK at the end of the 1970s, it said that the DPRK "kidnapped" nationals of different countries including 50 Japanese men and women and has trained them for "espionage activities". This is false propaganda which can be faked up only by Sankei Shimbun, a group of reactionary hackwriters. Accordingly, we cannot but consider its false report to be a deliberate provocation to hurt the high international prestige of the DPRK. In the past, Sankei Shimbun, in a bid to slander the DPRK, carried many reports woven with fabricated materials full of falsity and deception. Typical of them is "case of suspected abduction of a Japanese girl". As was fully revealed, this case was a dastardly political drama produced by the south Korean puppets to incite consciousness of extreme confrontation with the DPRK and an outcome of the anti-DPRK hostile policy of the right-wing conservative politicians of Japan who have pursued the policy inclined only to south Korea. Far from drawing a serious lesson from the failure of its past anti-DPRK propaganda, Sankei Shimbun is zealously engaging itself in another smear campaign. We cannot remain a passive onlooker to their ill-intentioned campaign. It does not make any sense that the DPRK, whose foreign policy is independence, peace and friendship, "kidnaps" people from Japan, Europe and mideast countries and "trains them into spies." We take a serious view of the fact that Sankei Shimbun carried the false article at a time when the work of improving relations between the DPRK and Japan was getting into its orbit. Its false propaganda is an act throwing a wet blanket over the atmosphere for improving the DPRK-Japan relations and, furthermore, is an undisguised insult to and mockery of the dialogue partner. It is also a criminal act siding with the south Korean puppets desperately trying to bar the DPRK-Japan relations from being improved. Now, Sankei Shimbun is in a serious financial crisis. So, it is engaged in false propaganda to earn money from the south Korean puppets. This is an act going against the trend of the times and doing harm to the interests of the peoples of the DPRK and Japan. Sankei Shimbun must act with discretion and stop spreading false rumours against the DPRK, mindful that the more recklessly it resorts to false propaganda, the more dearly it will pay for it.
