Great event in history of human politics

Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- Miguel Boieiro, Mayor of Alcochete City of Portugal, published an article entitled "Great event in history of human politics." The author of the article gave his impressions of the Juche Era and Sun's Day. He said: The birth of President Kim Il Sung on April 15, 1912, was a great event which ushered in the Era of Juche, a new era of history when the popular masses would shape their destinies independently and creatively as masters. 1912 was the starting point of the era of independence from which progressive mankind as well as the Korean nation would enjoy a blessed life to all ages. The leader Kim Jong Il realised the ardent aspirations of all the people for immortality of President Kim Il Sung who devoted his whole life to the justice, freedom and happiness of the people. The President put an end to the history of the rule by the exploiting class which regarded the people as targets of politics and unfolded the history of the people's politics And the leader Kim Jong Il opened its florescence. The leader Kim Jong Il has triumphantly advanced socialism and paved the way for its final victory with the politics of love and trust. In recent years, shocking events unprecedented in the world history of politics have taken place one after another in Korea. More than three years had passed since the death of the President. But, political stability has been kept without official election of supreme party and state organs and world-startling victories have been achieved in external relations. During my visit to Korea, I saw the invincible might of the popular masses with a firm determination to safeguard their leader, party and system to the last and was convinced that no force on earth can overpower this might. There is no such statesman in the world as the leader Kim Jong Il who has the unshakable faith and iron will to defend the destinies of the people and socialism. It is a great fortune on this planet that humankind has held him in high esteem as another sun. Indeed, the leader Kim Jong Il is a peerlessly great man, the most famous General who has moved the human history of politics with his outstanding ideological and theoretical activities, distinguished leadership ability and generous virtues, the author of the article stressed.

Conspiracy between U.S. and Japan for war on Korean Peninsula

Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- The Japanese Mainichi Shimbun on November 14 said that a secret document related to the sortie of the Japan-based U.S. troops in "case of emergency" on the Korean Peninsula existed between Japan and the United States in 1960, according to a news report. Quoting a January 11, 1960, document of the U.S. State Department, the paper said that at the end of 1959 when negotiations for revising the "Japan-U.S. security pact" were under way, the then Assistant Secretary of State of the United States, Benson told the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives that a top-secret agreement concerning the sortie of the U.S. troops from the U.S. military bases in Japan was completed between the U.S. and Japanese governments. It pointed out that the agreement defined an exception to the "system of prior consultation" so that the U.S. forces based in Japan might make a sortie without consultation with the Japanese government in case of "emergency" on the Korean Peninsula. Just before the talks between the Japanese Prime Minister and the U.S. President in 1969 when the United States agreed to return Okinawa, the U.S. Secretary of State told Congress leaders that Japan was willing to give a powerful assurance to allow the U.S. troops to use military bases in Japan and Okinawa for military action on the Korean Peninsula. This tells that Japan has left its territory to the U.S. troops as sortie bases for a war of aggression on the Korean Peninsula from long ago.
