Hospital unionists demonstrate in s. Korea

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- Some 200 members of the National Federation of Hospital Trade Unions in South Korea staged a demonstration on November 19 to protest against the fascist police's brutal suppression of union members of the hospital attached to Hanyang University, said Seoul-based radios. On the morning of November 19, the Kim Young Sam group mobilized as many as 800 policemen of 7 companies in the crackdown upon a demonstration of unionists of the hospital demanding reinstatement of the former union chairman who was dismissed and walked away more than 150 demonstrators.

Hirelings dismissed

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Young Sam dismissed the "Vice Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs", the "chief economic secretary of Chongwadae" and other senior officials. Rodong Sinmun in a commentary today brands this as another clumsy political burlesque to shift the economic bankruptcy onto his hirelings and smoothly serve his remaining term of office. The analyst goes on: After taking office, Kim Young Sam discharged the "Vice Prime minister in charge of economic affairs" on seven occasions and the "chief economic secretary of Chongwadae" on six occasions to avoid the responsibility for the economic crisis at any cost. However, this only revealed his political ignorance, economic illiteracy and treacherous and corrupt colors, and invited public criticism. Kim Young Sam must not resort to a clumsy trick but step down without delay and stand trial of history, as unanimously demanded by the south Korean people.

Third-rate farce to rename "NKP"

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The political situation of south Korea where puppet Presidential Election is scheduled to be held on December 18 reminds one of a comic scene with the ruling "New Korea Party" trying to rename itself. With a view to winning in the forthcoming "Presidential Election" the "NKP" which is at the point of bankruptcy won the opposition "democratic party" over to its side a short while ago. A trouble has risen as to what they will call the ruling party after its merger with the democratic party. On November 15 it was made public that the two parties agreed on the name of "Progressive Korea Party". On the 16th, a ridiculous name of "Hannara Party" was invented and it was decided to appoint Ri Hoe Chang as a candidate of the party for "Presidential Election". This shows that the ruling party has left no stone unturned to curry favor with people and stay in power. The newly-invented name is little different from the original name of the "NKP" in the meaning and shape of the name. The point at issue is why the ruling "NKP" is in a hurry to rename itself. It is because the "NKP" is rejected and condemned by the press and the people as the private political party of the traitor Kim Young Sam and as a decadent political party. It is also because Ri Hoe Chang who declared his breaking with the traitor Kim as "a sacred war", reminding people of Kim Young Sam's records of treacheries, his followers and the "Democratic Party" which got united in political matrimony with them have harboured grudge against the traitor Kim and seek for a chance to take their revenge, disillusioned about his arbitrariness, highhandedness and infidelity. After the second "merger of the ruling and opposition parties" the ruling party is scrambling for "Presidential Election" under the slogan of "liquidation of three Kims". The new group will also meet a miserable end.

Unjust "resolution" cannot work

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- Recently the United Nations General Assembly Session adopted a "resolution" urging the DPRK to meet the nuclear safeguards demands of the International Atomic Energy Agency, according to a report. The adoption of the "resolution" is a foolish move of the dishonest-minded forces of the United States and the IAEA to make up for the disgrace they suffered under the eye of the world while spreading a rumour about the "nuclear suspicion" of the DPRK, to invent an excuse to interefere in the internal affairs of the DPRK over the fictitious "nuclear issue." This neglects the DPRK-U.S. agreed framework welcomed by the United Nations itself and the special position of the DPRK that temporarily stopped the effectuation of its withdrawal from the treaty of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons= It does not give a help to the solution of the nuclear issue. The DPRK's "nuclear issue" was produced by some dishonest forces of the IAEA under the manipulation of the United States to isolate and stifle the DPRK. Therefore, it is an issue to be settled between the United States and the DPRK. The DPRK-U.S. agreed framework clarifies how the DPRK's "nuclear issue" should be settled. We have frozen our nuclear facilities, fully cooperated with the IAEA in supervision and allowed IAEA's routine and ad hoc inspection of the unfrozen facilities according to the DPRK-U.S. agreed framework. We are making a full supply of "information". The call for the DPRK to totally implement the safeguards accord is an attempt to put a spoke in the wheel of the implementation of the agreed framework and bring the "nuclear issue" back to the starting point. We bitterly reject the resolution, considering that it came from the heinous aim of some dishonest-minded forces of the United States and the IAEA to isolate and stifle the DPRK.

Removal of three Kims demanded in s. Korea

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- Kuguk Joson, the organ of the Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea, called for removing the three Kims. The three Kims are south Korea's puppet President Kim Young Sam, president of the opposition "National Congress for New Politics" Kim Dae Jung and president of the opposition "United Liberal Democrats" Kim Jong Pil. The paper exposed the flunkeyist and traitorous, fascist and anti-reunification crimes of Kim Young Sam and behaviours of Kim Dae Jung and Kim Jong Pil, obsessed with the wild ambition for power and money. It added that the three Kims are all being isolated and denounced for their political swindles and that nothing can be expected from them. As the "Presidential Election" is approaching, people from all social standings are calling for alternation of generations, the paper said, and called for replacing the old political forces with new politicians and political forces. It also called for removing the scum of history out of the political camp. It stressed that the days of the three Kims are gone.
