Just cause of Korean people supported in Nepal

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Party leaders of Nepal expressed the stand of their parties toward the just cause of the Korean people when they met separately with a delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) headed by Choe Jin Su, Vice-Director of a Department of the WPK Central Committee. Man Mohan Adhikari, President of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxism-Leninism), said that his party actively supported and encouraged the just struggle of the WPK and the Korean people against imperialism and would in the future, too, support and encourage their struggle for the accomplishment of the socialist cause and national reunification. As they are under the wise guidance of General Kim Jong Il, the WPK and the Korean people will certainly win in the sacred struggle for the socialist cause and national reunification by surmounting temporary difficulties caused by natural disasters which have continued for years. Girija Prasad Koirala, President of the Central Committee of the Nepali Congress Party, expressed the hope that the Korean people, led by the Workers' Party of Korea, would tide over difficulties caused by natural disasters and make achievements and noted that he would make strenuous efforts to develop the relations between the two parties.


Support for S. Korean people's struggle called for

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Hak Jun, Chief of the Damascus Mission of the National Democratic Front of South Korea, issued a statement to the press on January 5 on the occasion of the New Year and expressed the expectation that progressive parties of different countries and the Syrian people would extend more active support and encouragement to the just struggle of the South Korean people, according to Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation. He said that the South Korean people vigorously waged an anti-American struggle for independence, an anti-Kim Young Sam struggle, and the reunification movement last year, thus dealing a telling blow at the U.S. and the "civilian"-veiled dictatorial group and developing the national movement for democracy on to a new higher stage. The mass struggle has been expanded and developed in South Korea because the patriotic South Korean people from all walks of life fought with the high pride of acclaiming General Kim Jong Il as the Supreme Leader of the nation, he stressed.


G.S. Kim Jong Il's work published in India

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) - General Kim Jong Il's immortal famous work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification" was brought out in booklet by the Everest Publishing House in India on January 24 to commemorate his 56th birthday. The booklet says with a view to giving a reunified country to posterity President Kim Il Sung put forward the three principles of national reunification, the 10-P0int Programme for the Great Unity of the Whole Nation, the proposal for founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo and other realistic and reasonable reunification proposals conforming to the interests of not only the Korean people but also the peaceloving people all over the world and worked heart and soul to carry them into practice to the last moment of his life. The reunification of the country to which the President devoted his whole life will certainly come true in the near future under the guidance of General Kim Jong Il, the booklet adds.


Korea-Romania cooperation

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- An agreement on investment encouragement and protection and an agreement on prevention of double taxation on income and property between the governments of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Romania were signed in Bucharest on January 23. The documents were signed by Korean Ambassador to Romania Yun Su Ryong and Romanian Minister of Finance Daniel Daianu.
