Rodong Sinmun on U.S. policy of strength
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today comes out with a signed article stressing that the United States can get nothing from the policy of strength it has persistently pursued.
Recalling that a prospect has been opened for solving the Iraqi crisis peacefully through diplomatic negotiations, not with the use of strength sought by the united states, the author of the article says:
No sooner had the Iraqi crisis occured than the United States took the lead in the campaign to solve it with the military strength, clamouring about gchastisementh and the like.
In a bid to win support for its planned military attack on Iraq, it dispatched its secretaries of state and defense and its ambassador to the United Nations to different countries. However, their visits produced no desired pruition.
This fact indicates how poorly the united states, which claims that strength is everything, is supported worldwide.
U.S. strength-is-almighty champions are recklessly trying to demonstrate their strength on the Korean peninsula.
However, the People's Army and people of Korea will never pardon them for their reckless acts. @@@

Plunder by international capital in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today runs an article by prof. and dr. Ri Kun Hwan laying bare the plunder by international capital in South Korea.
In an article headlined gclaws of international capital tightening their grip of dependent economyh the author describes the international monetary fund as a tool of plunder under the control of the United States.
He says:
The IMF lays down such Brigandish collateral conditions as gadjustment of economsc strucgin reward for the rescue fund it granted to South Korea.
One of the conditions is to liberalise capital and stock markets. The IMF forces the puppets to increase the foreign capital of civil financial institutions to 10 billion dlrs and foreigners' investment to 100 percent from 30 percent, close more than 10 of 30 general banking companies and adjust those enterprises whose capital is lacking. The demand is tempted by its ulterior intention to keep a firm hold on the artery of the South Korean economy and intensify its financial domination over it.
The IMF also presses South Korea to reform financial structure as part of adjustment of economic structure and pursue an austerity policy.
It forces the puppets to make both ends meet by collecting more taxes from the people and allocate less funds to education, culture and health services.
It demands that the ban on unreasonable layoff be lifted, though South Korean businesses have observed it in a perfunctory way.
Lurking behind the brigandish demand is an attempt to annex South Korean enterprises on a large scale, dismiss more workers from the companies already placed under its control and thus make fabulous profits.
With the full implementation of the humiliating gmemorandum of understandingh the puppets concluded with the IMF the South Korean economy is being further deteriorated and South Korean socio-political crisis and confusion are going from bad to worse. @@@

United States, manipulator of S. Korea's bubble economy
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Retired professor at economics Kim Hyok Chol in South Korea published an article entitled gthe United States, manipulator of the bubble economy, unmasked,h according to the Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation.
It is none other than the United States which worked out and manipulated a programme to make the South Korean economy a bubble-like economy, the author of the article said, and continued:
The U.S. has pursued the policy of colonizing the South Korean economy over the past 50 odd years.
The South Korean economy has been completely reduced to a U.S. appendage, an export-oriented economy based on the pattern of gimport-procession-exporth and a crippled economy which is operated under the manipulation of others and the influence of others' money.
The United States has driven the South Korean economy into the worst financial crisis by employing roundabout pressure and financial colonial methods with the help of financial speculators in wall street. What it seeks in this is to integrate all aspects of the South Korean economic structure under the geconomic sphere of the 21st centuryh controlled by it.
It is trying to monopolize the capital, financial and labour markets of South Korea with poison-like d57 billion rescue funds as a bait.
Due to the U.S. aggressive design, South Korea lost not only its economic sovereignty but also the policy-making function to the international monetary fund.
The way out for the South Korean economy is to pursue independence, not dependence upon outsiders, and readjust its structures for economic independence instead of the structural coordination needed for the introduction of foreign capital. @@@
