International solidarity for Korean people's cause of national reunification

Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- The General Secretary of the People's Rally for Socialism of Democratic Congo issued a statement on March 19 supporting the proposal put forward by political parties and organisations of the DPRK at a joint meeting. He said in a statement that the adoption at the joint meeting of a letter containing a constructive proposal and ways to accelerate the reunification of the Korean peninsula is an important step for an early reunification of Korea. His party, he said, holds that Korea should be reunified unconditionally at an early date in accordance with the three charters of Korean reunification put forward by President Kim Il Sung and formulated by General Kim Jong Il. The Norwegian Communist Party in a statement issued on March 16 said that the South Korean authorities must express their willingness to reject the domination by outsiders and dependence on them and hew out the destiny of the nation independently and must make a bold decision to replace the wrong anti-north confrontation policy with a pro-north reconciliation policy. The statement stressed that the South Korean authorities must create an atmosphere for dialogue and negotiations with the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun on essence of "open world society"

Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- "open world society" on the lips of the United States and other western nations is a de facto variant of "cosmopolitanism" which failed after its emergence in the world, says Rodong Sinmun in a signed article today. It is aimed at domination and subjugation, the author of the article says, and continues: This is well illustrated by their call for a "global structure," a nucleus of "open world society." By "open world society," they mean that the power of each state organ must be decreased, a "global structure" be set up and all codes of action be newly defined under its supervision. This proves that both "cosmopolitanism" and the theory on "open world society" are aimed at stifling the Juche character of each country and nation and realising "integration" of the world. The theory on "open world society" by far surpasses "cosmopolitanism" in its viciousness. Followers of this theory cry that all the countries of the world should take the road of "open society" in order to develop their economy and enjoy welfare. This reflects the requirements and interests of the imperialists to save their capitalist system from ruin and gratify their precarious ambition. They also say that "open society" can digest not only the western-style outlook on value but also the Asian or European styles. Underlying their allegation is their vicious artifice to stifle the Juche character and the national character of other countries and nations and bring them under their domination at any cost as their moves for "integrating" the world are being denounced or rejected in all parts of the world. The imperialists' clamourings about "open world society" and "trend of integration of the world" are nothing but a fantastic signboard to subordinate and assimilate all countries and nations to their patterns by turning the whole world into a western-style "free world."
