Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) - General Secretary Kim Jong Il sent educational aid fund and stipends of 128.8 million yen in the Japanese currency to the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) for the development of democratic and national education on the occasion of Sun's Day. The educational aid fund and stipends sent by President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il in 141 instalments for the children of Korean Residents in Japan amount to 43,671,483,000 yen in the Japanese currency.

Gifts to G.S. Kim Jong Il from abroad

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) - General Secretary Kim Jong Il received gifts from the government of Cambodia and the Ministry of Culture of Egypt on the occasion of Sun's Day. The gifts were handed to Vice-Premier and Minister of Culture and the Arts Jang Chol by Cambodian government cultural delegate Nouth Narang who is Minister of Culture and Art, and Egyptian cultural delegate Hussein Abd El Moneim A. Tolba who is first deputy Minister of Culture, on a visit to Korea.

Foreigners visit Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- The economic and commercial councillors corps and foreign trade officials here visited Mangyongdae on April 14 on the occasion of Sun's Day, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) - General Secretary Kim Jong Il received a letter from the Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) on April 15, Sun's Day. Command post exercise to be staged

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- The South Korean military and the U.S. decided to stage war manoeuvres for one week from April 23, according to a radio report from Seoul. The command post exercise is designed for effective deployment of armed forces to be added to the U.S. aggression forces present in South Korea and the South Korea-U.S. Combined Forces in "emergency" on the Korean peninsula. Involved there will be South Korean and U.S. troops, more than 7,000 in all. The U.S. and the South Korean puppets continue staging the war exercises, while crying for "peace" and "detente." The exercise to be staged after the appearance of a new regime in South Korea shows that their moves to unleash a war against the north are getting more grave.

Booklet "Great Man" published in S. Korea

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- A booklet "Great Man" on the greatness of President Kim Il Sung was published in the name of the sun society in South Korea on the occasion of Sun's Day, the Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation quoted the Pusan city committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea as saying. Printed in the booklet is a picture of the President with a broad smile on his face. With three chapters, the booklet has subtitles "his passionate humaneness," "profound modesty and simplicity" and "rich sentiments." It is being rapidly disseminated in many parts of the city.
