Crafty trick on workers
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary condemns the South Korean authorities for coaxing the workers to accept the poisonous articles of the Labour Law including the lay-off system.
The "Korean Confederation of Trade Unions" and other labour circles declared that as long as the authorities do not withdraw the lay-off system and employment exchange, they will not join in the "second-term labour-management-government committee." The authorities are preaching the labour circles to join in the composition of the "committee," claiming that the ongoing economic crisis urgenly needs "labour-management-government compromise" once again.
The daily says:
The puppets are clamouring that "labour-management-government compromise" should be made while repressing complaints and the lay-off would be restrained to the maximum. Now that it is obvious that their talk is no more than a deception, the South Korean workers will never be taken in by their crafty trick.
The authorities preaching is prompted by a criminal attempt to deceive the workers, calm down their protest and continue introducing the lay-off system on which they agreed with the international financial circles.

Head of DPRK delegation on denuclearisation issue
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- The head of the DPRK delegation referred to the denuclearisation issue of the Korean peninsula at a meeting of the U.N. commission for disarmament held in New York on April 8.
He said nuclear disarmament should take priority of the worldwide arms reduction, and it is possible only when it goes towards complete removal of nuclear arms and the denuclearisation of the whole world.
Under the condition that the Korean peninsula still remains the most acute hot spot, denuclearisation in the Korean peninsula is more urgent than in any other parts of the globe, he said, and continued:
For the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula it is essential for the U.S. which is directly responsible for peace and security in the peninsula to give a guarantee for non-use of nuclear arms against the DPRK and revoke its commitments on supply of nuclear umbrella to South Korea as it promised in the DPRK-U.S. joint statement and framework agreement.
While voicing support for the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, the U.S. is taking no legal step in actuality.
Such a situation is the main stumbling block in the way of the implementation of the joint declaration on the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula which was signed by the north and south of Korea.
The DPRK whose security is exposed to the U.S. permanent military threat is forced to heavy arms race against its will.
Clamouring for disarmament and for building of military confidence under the present situation of the Korean peninsula is a camourflage for arms buildup= it is the revelation of an intention for the unilateral disarmament of the DPRK.
The prospect for the settlement of various disarmament issues, including denuclearisation, for a durable peace and security on the Korean peninsula, entirely depends on whether the structure of confrontation of the Cold War era in this region is destroyed or kept.
It is high time for the U.N. to take a step helpful to the end of the confrontation of the Cold War era on the Korean peninsula, he stressed.
They will never be pardoned
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today, commenting on the debate between the Japanese reactionaries and South Korean puppets on the detachment of mine sweepers of the Japanese maritime "Self-Defence Force" to the Korean peninsula in "emergency", warns that the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK will never tolerate any Japanese invasion, but annihilate the Japanese reactionaries completely, if they dare to pounce upon the DPRK.
Our attitude toward the provokers is resolute and merciless, the news analyst says, and goes on:
The Japanese reactionaries and the South Korean authorities should not doubt the firm determination and will of the DPRK.
The Japanese reactionaries try to reinvade the DPRK under the pretext of the military "cooperation" with the South Korean puppets and "joint reaction to emergency" on the Korean peninsula.
This is proved by the fact that they lay emphasis on the "emergency" on the Korean peninsula, when talking about "effective reaction to emergency" around Japan, and they are trying hard to increase the capacity of the "SDF" for overseas operation and to enact "emergency legislature".
The news analyst also denounces the South Korean puppets' "cooperation" in Japan's reinvasion manoeuvrings as a sycophantic act of depending on outsiders.
The Japanese reactionaries' unchanged ambition for reinvasion of the DPRK and realisation of the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Coprosperity Sphere" is anachronistic, adds the news analyst.
