S. Korea urged to stop straining situation of Korean peninsula
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland today released a statement accusing the South Korean authorities of kicking up another anti-north row over "intrusion of a submarine."
The statement says in part:
We already reported that our small submarine was wrecked after drifting about with a mishap to machinery in a training in the East Sea of Korea off Kosong.
The South Korean authorities, however, have groundlessly described the accident as "intrusion." on June 26, they made public a "statement" of the "Defence Minister" and "results of investigation" blaming the north for "anti-south operation," "intrusion" and "provocation."
When our small submarine was discovered in sea waters of South Korea, the South Korean authorities should have informed us of it and rescued the boat.
We cannot understand why the South Korean authorities did not rescue the 70 ton-class boat in time but played for time for three days, on the pretext of "towing" and the like. We also wonder how the crewmen died.
The South Korean authorities should be held responsible for the death of the crewmen because they did not save them in time. They should make an understandable explanation.
They should immediately stop trying to render the situation on the Korean peninsula strained again and should send the corpses of the crewmen and submarine to our side at once.
We will follow the future attitude of the South Korean authorities.

Brigandish logic = KCNA commentary =
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Spokesmen for the "National Congress for New Politics" and "United Liberal Democrats" in South Korea in "statements" released in connection with June 25 let loose bellicose remarks seriously getting on our nerves, according to a South Korean radio report.
In the "statements," they clamoured about non-existent "north's threats of provocation" and "its design for communization." they went the length of crying that "north's provocative threat" and "design for communization" have not changed although half a century has passed.
This is a brigandish logic which invites the resentment of the nation.
It is a well-known fact that, 48 years ago, the U.S. imperialists instigated the South Korean puppets to unleash the war of aggression against the DPRK. What remains unchanged after the war is none other than the wild ambition of the U.S. imperialists and the South Korean puppets to invade the north.
The ambition for northward invasion is becoming more intense among the present South Korean rulers who put up a deceptive signboard of "people."
The South Korean puppets, in league with outside forces, have reinforced the armed forces on a large scale and ceaselessly staged war exercises against the fellow countrymen in the north, bringing the situation on the Korean peninsula to a dangerous brink of war.
What they seeks in making unreasonable remarks about "threats of provocation" and "design for communization" is to justify their preparations for war.
Only catastrophic consequences will go to the puppets who are behaving violently like a puppy knowing no fear of a tiger.

S. Korean people's struggle for vital rights
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- South Korean people from all walks of life are continuing their struggle for vital rights and for the abolition of the anti-social lay-off system and labour exchange system which are driving workers to death.
The participants in the third meeting of the unemployed held in Seoul on June 20 strongly demanded that the government set up public security network and take a substantial employment measure, raging at the present moribund plight of workers caused by the misrule of the puppet clique.
The Kia Motor Company trade union started struggle for vital rights from June 1 and is escalating the strike demanding the abolition of such evil laws as the lay-off system and labour exchange system.
The Songwoun Industrial Co., Ltd. trade union and the Taekwang Industrial Co., ltd. trade union in Ulsan entered into a total strike, requesting the business side to pay wages, ensure trade union activities and reinstate the dismissed.
The Hyudai Motor Company unionists' struggle against the lay-off system is being joined by their families.
The workers' struggle is actively joined by the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils, the Pusan citizens' measure committee for economic sovereignty, people's vital rights and democratic reform, the national teachers union and other public organisations.
The federation of women's organisations and other women's organisations and citizens in South Korea staged demonstrations demanding an immediate abolition of reactionary evil laws, denouncing the authorities for threatening the vital rights of the working people and their jobs by forcing the labour exchange system.
Tragic consequences of troop dispatch to Vietnam
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Former soldiers of the South Korean puppet army, who had been dispatched for the 1964-1975 war of aggression on Vietnam, are suffering from sequela of defoliant, according to a report.
Defoliant, a poisonous chemical substance, had been used by the U.S. imperialists during the Vietnam War.
At present, as many as 44,000 South Korean people are suffering from sequela of defoliant.
More than 10,000 people died of cancer, peripheral nervous debility, the disorder of the central nerve, hypertension and other diseases.
Worse still, defoliant is influencing children of the victims.
According to a survey of 329 victims, 524 of their children are suffering from mental illness, nervous breakdown, cancer, spinal disorder, skin and other diseases, influenced by their defoliant-affected fathers.
This is a result of the treacherous act of the South Korean puppet clique who, following dictates of the U.S. imperialists, had dispatched more than 300,000 soldiers for the war of aggression on Vietnam for one billion dollars.
War confab held under pretext of "security" =KCNA commentary=
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Japan and the South Korean puppets reportedly held a "consultative meeting on security policy" on June 26 to increase the scope of military cooperation.
The meeting came at a time when the U.S.-Japan military tieup reached a new stage and Japan's wild ambition for reinvasion was becoming all the more pronounced with each passing day. It was no more than a dangerous confab for another Korean War.
Japan and the South Korean puppets said they would establish sustained military tieup for peace on the Korean peninsula and northeast Asia. Their utterances are a sheer lie.
Peace is wrecked and a danger of war still remains in Korea and the rest of Asia. from the historic viewpoint it is attributable to the Japanese militarists' ambition for overseas expansion and their moves for a military power. The moves have reached a more reckless stage with the U.S.-Japan-South Korea tripartite military alliance being tightened in accordance with the U.S. world strategy.
Recently the director of the cabinet legislative office told a meeting of the house of councillors of Japan that Japan has a legal right to possess nuclear weapons and may use them for the purpose of defence as well. His utterances caused a big stir in the international community.
Japan is now running wild as a shock brigade for the U.S. aggression on Asia. It is tightening military tieup with the South Korean puppets for realising its wild ambition.
It was said at the recent confab that it is necessary to increase the transparency in military field to do away with apprehensions about Japan's moves for a military power and prevent a reunified Korea from posing a military threat to Japan. The shameless rigmarole is a naked mockery of and an open challenge to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and other Asian countries.
This rigmarole fully betrays the true colors of foolish and brazen-faced Japan and South Korean puppets who are trying to use the "transparency in military field" as an excuse to justify Japan's moves for a military power through the tightened military tieup with the puppets as well as the permanent presence of the U.S. Forces in South Korea and Japan.
Japan and the South Korean puppets should stop acting rashly.
