S. Korean authorities' misdeed denounced
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland made public a statement on September 5 denouncing the South Korean authorities for hurling mud at the DPRK over the launch of an artificial satellite together with their masters the United States and the Japanese reactionaries, feeling uneasy about it.
The South Korean authorities conducted a smear campaign against the DPRK, branding the launch which they mistook for "ballistic missile launching" as a "serious provocation."
Worse still, they asked the United States to "put pressure upon the north."
If they had no capacity to distinguish between satellites and ballistic missiles, they should have kept mum about what had happened.
Their senseless act shows that only disgrace and shame will go to those who repeat other's words mechanically and blindly follow dictates of others, without the sense of independence.
They had better draw a due lesson from their rash acts.
Through the successful launching of an artificial satellite in the DPRK, they must know, though belatedly, how just and powerful the DPRK's independent policies are.
S. Korea's plan to stage joint war game with Japan
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- The South Korean "Minister of National Defence" Chon Yong Thaek openly revealed a plan to tighten military tie-ups with Japan, according to a news report.
After having attended a closed-door confab between military bosses of South Korea and Japan in Tokyo, he said that Japan also clarified its stand to take military actions against the DPRK together with South Korea and the United States and that South Korea is examining a plan to stage joint military exercises with Japan.
He made this remark as soon as he came back to Seoul earlier than schedule upon hearing the news of the launch of an artificial satellite in the DPRK.
Our satellite launching is a legitimate exercise of sovereignty and a proud success of the nation which will enrich the treasurehouse common to humankind.
Nevertheless, this warmaniac is trying to intensify military actions against the DPRK even with the help of Japan as well as the united states, not abandoning his habit of slandering the DPRK.
The South Korean authorities would be well advised to act with discretion, mindful that their foolish acts will only entail serious consequences.
Workers suppressed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, august 6 (KCNA) -- The South Korean authorities brutally cracked down upon the struggle of workers of the Mando Machine Company, according to the South Korean newspaper Kyunghyang Daily News on September 4.
They walked away some 2,430 workers and announced that they would bring "legal actions" against more than 100 union leaders and unionists.
The workers of the Manbo Machine Company have waged strikes from mid-August in protest against the employer's plan to lay off a quarter of workers.
The authorities deployed some 14,000 policemen of 124 companies, helicopters, excavators and other repressive tools at factories under the company in seven areas including Asan, South Chungchong Province.
The riot police inflicted heavy injuries upon unionists= legs of some unionists were broken= and children, women and family members, who joined them in their strike, were suffocated by tear gas.
The bloody suppression clearly proves that the present South Korean regime is a group of fascists as the preceding regimes were.
