Japanese attack on Korean hall denounced
Tokyo, November 3 (KNS-KCNA) -- Director Ryu Kwang Su of the Department for the Welfare of Compatriots of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on November 3 released a statement denouncing Japanese right-wing reactionaries for their attack on the hall of the central headquarters of Chongryon.
In the statement he recalled that an unidentified Japanese threw a fire bottle over the outer gate of the hall into the yard in front of the hall to set fire to it before running away.
Japanese right-wing gangsters have made raids on the Chongryon central headquarters, threatened students of Korean schools, committed violence against them and infiltrated into the hall of the Chiba Prefecture headquarters of Chongryon to kill its official and set fire to the hall in the wake of the successful launch of an artificial satellite in the DPRK, he said.
He described the recent raid as a premeditated violence designed to destroy Chongryon and suppress Koreans in Japan.
He strongly demanded that the Japanese government authorities and police arrest the criminal without delay and punish him severely.
The Japanese authorities should wholly be held responsible for the prevention of recurrence of such crimes and should put an immediate halt to the anti-DPRK, anti-Chongryon campaign as well as all sorts of suppression of Koreans in Japan.
U.S. preparations for war against DPRK
Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The United States made a test of the new telecommunications system in Yokosuka, Japan, under which operations in the event of "contingency" on the Korean peninsula are commanded on a ship according to a news report.
Radio NHK, reporting this, said that it has been known that the United States is examining its plan for moving the U.S. forces command to a "safe" ship from Seoul, which is near the Military Demarcation Line, in case of "emergency" on the Korean peninsula.
The radio said that the recent test "verified possibility to play such a function on a ship and indicated that the U.S. forces in Japan are deeply involved in case of 'Contingency' on the Korean peninsula."
The fact proves that the United States is frantically pushing ahead with preparations for a war against the DPRK on a dangerous practical stage and that Japan is becoming a major command post of the U.S. forces' war moves against the DPRK.
