Kim Jong Il's works published in pamphlet in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The members of the Thaeyang Society in Seoul published a pamphlet carrying works of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, a Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation quoted the Seoul City Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea as saying.
The pamphlet titled "dawn of reunification" contains Kim Jong Il's works "Let Us Reunify the Country Independently and Peacefully Through the Great Unity of the Entire Nation" and "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification."
Its preamble says:
"Dawn of reunification," a true friend of patriotic people aspiring after reunification, is a textbook of reunification which crystallizes the policy of reunification laid down by Kim Jong Il.
Let us all come out to the plaza of reunification, bearing in mind his policy of reunification, a philosophy of cognition and practice, in one mind of love for the country the nation and fellow countrymen.
Friendship gathering on National Day of Cambodia
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- A friendship gathering took place at the Pyongyang International House of Culture on Nov. 6 on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Invited there were charge d'affaires ad interim of the Cambodian embassy here Hoy Kim an and embassy officials.
Choe Jong Hwan, vice-chairman of the Committe for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the Korea-Cambodia Friendship Association, and members of the friendship association were on hand.
The participants appreciated an art performance of students of the Korea-Cambodia Friendship Pyongyang University of Music and Dance and talked with each other, deepening the feelings of friendship.
S. Korean authorities hit for arresting Hwang Son
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- Kim Tae Won, delegate of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) that represents the south headquarters of the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country's Reunification (Pomchonghakryon), published a statement on Nov. 6 denouncing the South Korean authorities authorities for arresting Hanchongryon delegate Hwang Son, who visited North Korea, on charges of violation of the "National Security Law."
Kim indicted those who arrested on charges of violation of the "NSL" a brave daughter of the nation Hwang Son who has devoted herself to reunification, the cherished desire of the nation.
Those who arrested her must be anti-reunification forces, he said. She should not be arrested, but the anti-reunification forces should be denounced and the "NSL" be abolished.
He continued:
The Kim Dae Jung "government" should draw a lesson of history from the doom of the preceding rulers who had maintained "government" by dint of the "NSL."
He called for immediately releasing Hwang Son and abrogating the "NSL," an anti-nation, anti-democracy, anti-reunification law.
Seminar on Kim Jong Il's work
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- A seminar of the Latin American and Caribbean regional left-wing political parties on the famous work of General Secretary Kim Jong Il "socialism is a science" was held in Mexico.
Attending the seminar were Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, coordinator (leader) of the National Executive Committee of the Workers' Party of Mexico= Yernan Ribadeneyra, General Secretary of the Coordinating Committee of the Socialist Latin American: Rossie Roosebelt Douglas, leader of the Labour Party of Dominica= Miguel Mejia, secretary general of the United Left Movement of Dominica= Ivan Rodriguez, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Dominica= and other political party leaders in Latin America.
Speakers paid the highest respect to Kim Jong Il, who published the encyclopedic work to open up the bright way of the socialist movement, representing the unanimous desire of different political parties in the Latin American region.
They said they were again convinced of the superiority, truth and scientific accuracy of socialism through the seminar.
An appeal to the progressive political parties and social organizations all over the world was adopted at the seminar.
Kim Jong Il's work indicated that in order to defend the cause of socialism and to achieve its ultimate victory, it is imperative to firmly adhere to the socialsit theory of Juche, and proved the scientific accuracy and truth, validity and invincible vitality of socialism, the appeal said.
It set Nov. 1, 1994 (when the work was published) as the Day of the Reconstruction of the World Socialsit Movement, day of advance of socialism. It also said the progressive political parties of the world will organize colourful events to significantly commemorate the day every year.
Seminars, reading sessions and round-table gatherings on the famous work "socialism is a science" will be held to contribute to the construction of genuine socialism for the popular masses, it stressed.
In conclusion, it said that they would fully support and encourage the just cause of the Korean people to achieve the reunification of the country in accordance with the three charters of national reunification and the five-point policy of great national unity under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The present chief executive of South Korea on November 4 met a Japanese delegation of dietmen and expressed his "understanding" of the Japan's "response" to the DPRK's launch of an artificial satellite, branding it as "Taephodong" as Japan does, according to a news report.
This can be done only by an out-and-out pro-Japanese regime.
Japan has raised a hue and cry over "threat" in the wake of the DPRK's satellite launch, alleging that it launched a "ballistic missile".
This insistence of Japan has invited unanimous criticism from the international community. Neverthless, the chief executive of South Korea expressed "understanding" of the Japan's far-fetched argument going against the trend of times. How can the nation pardon this misbehaviour?
By siding with Japan's argument about "ballistic missile," he disclosed his criminal intention to stifle the DPRK with the backing of foreign forces.
Worse still, he said the "North Korea's launch of Taephodong has posed threats to not only Japan but also South Korea and the United States" and called for "strengthening cooperation".
This reveals his bellicose intention to tighten the tripartite military alliance of the U.S., Japan and South Korea under the pretext of coping with the "DPRK's missile threat" and threaten the north with "strength."
His criminal attempt to do harm to the fellow countrymen in the north hand in glove with the U.S. and Japanese masters will be severely judged by history.
DPRK, Yugoslavia cooperate in culture and education
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- A plan for cultural and educational cooperation for Juche 87-89 (1998, 1999 and 2000) was signed here between the governments of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on Nov. 6.
It was signed by vice-chairman Choe Jong Hwan of the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and Yugoslav ambassador to Korea Ljubomir Djukic.
Immediate release of Hwang Son demanded
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- A joint statement was issued Friday by the north and overseas headquarters of the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country's Reunification (Pomchonghakryon) over the arrest by the South Korean authorities of Hwang Son, representative of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) that represents the south Pomchonghakryon headquarters, who went back to South Korea after visiting North Korea.
The statement says:
The "Agency for National Security Planning" (ANSP) had issued a "warrant of arrest in advance," charging her with violating the "National Security Law," and arrested her right after she stepped on the land of South Korea.
Hwang Son enjoys love and admiration of the entire fellow countrymen as "spark of reunification" for her praiseworthy deeds helpful towards great national unity and reunification.
Her arrest shows that the South Korean authorities are undisguisedly resorting to moves for national confrontation and division.
Hwang Son, who, as a woman student, has made another large breakthrough in the barrier of division, is a daughter to be admired by the nation. Indeed, she recorded an unforgettable mark in the history of reunification movement.
The South Korean authorities should draw a due lesson from the miserable end of predecessors who had pursued the policy of national confrontation and division, set free Hwang Son unconditionally and immediately and dissolve the "ANSP" and repeal the "NSL" at once.
Military manoeuvres for rounding off anti-DPRK war@preparations
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today bitterly denounces the South Korean ruling quarters for staging "98 Hwarang" military exercise in the Seoul region allegedly to "examine and increase defence capabilities."
The news analyst says:
Involved in the rehearsal which is staged as a joint operation of Seoul and the metropolitan defence command are units of the army, "reserve forces," the "civilian defence forces," police and civil servants in the region, more than 300,000 in all.
The South Korean warmongers describe the war gamble as an "operation of defence" to copeiwith someone's "infiltration." their description is designed to cover up the provocative nature of the anti-DPRK rehearsal.
Recently they staged large-scale joint military manoeuvres in the East Sea of Korea together with the U.S. imperialists for preemptive attack on North Korea and coast landing. They launched into comprehensive mock attacks on the north, 98 Foal Eagle and 98 Hwarang, in the broad area of South Korea on the back of the joint military manoeuvres.
98 Hwarang which began in the north and south Jolla and Chungchong provinces in late October is now staged in the Seoul region. This is aimed at rounding off in an all-round way war preparations of regular and irregular armed forces and increasing the capacity to invade the north to the maximum.
98 Hwarang is a clear manifestation of the warmongers' criminal design to invade the north.
