Anti-north smear campaign of S. Korean authorities
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The South Korean authorities have recently intensified anti-north smear campaign.
On the early morning of November 20, they, claiming that the north's "spy ship" intruded near Kanghwa island in the West Sea of Korea, issued an "emergency alert order" what they call "Jindogae-1" and conducted a search operation.
Synchronised with this, the Ministry of National Defence released a "statement," slandering the north.
The loud-mouthed "intrusion" incident is a product of premeditated anti-north smear campaign of the bellicose elements of the military who seek tense inter-Korean relations and showdown.
Clear is the purpose of the anti-north smear campaign.
With the Kumgang mountain tour program being promoted following the recent visit to Pyongyang of Honorary Chairman Jong Ju Yong of the South Korean Hyundai Business Group, the growing number of South Koreans long for the north, as well as inter-Korean reconciliation and unity with each passing day.
Upset by this, the South Korean authorities, instigated by the U.S., are hell-bent on slandering the north over non-existent "suspicion of underground nuclear facility" in a bid to divert elsewhere public attention from the north, rendering the situation on the Korean peninsula all the more strained.
Worse still, they are launching anti-north smear campaign aimed to make an impression as if the north were a source of the tense situation, synchronised with U.S. President Bill Clinton's trip to South Korea.
They should ponder over grave consequences of the third-rate anti-north farce and stop their anti-national criminal act.
If they resort to the anti-north smear campaign, ignoring the north's warnings, they will be made to pay dearly for this.
NDFSK spokesman on deceptive "bill on human rights"
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) made public a statement on November 18 denouncing the South Korean authorities' moves to enact a deceptive "bill on human rights," according to Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation.
The statement said:
The South Korean "government" authorities and venal press media have lauded the "bill on human rights", which the Ministry of Justice was to announce on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the world declaration on human rights, as "progress to advanced human rights society" and "steadfast framework for human rights." but it is a third-rate drama.
The "human rights committee for the people," advertized by the "government" authorities as a "body for substantially ensuring human rights," is by no means an independent body supervising and controlling human rights violations. It is only a "government-controlled" body corporate consisting of venal persons appointed by "Chongwadae."
The Kim Dae Jung "government's" scheme to enact a "bill on human rights" is nothing but a petty trick to cover up the negative profile of itself based on the military dictatorship with a silk wrapper called "guarantee for human rights" and cleanse the dishonor of South Korea branded as the worst graveyard of human rights.
The statement demanded that the Kim Dae Jung regime promptly stop the moves to enact the deceptive "bill" and abolish and dissolve the "National Security Law" and the "Agency for National Security Planning", the pronouns of evil in human rights violations.
The NDFSK, together with the people, will continue the vigorous fight against dictatorship and for democracy to clear away the fascist law and dictatorial system of violating human rights and establish a new society of democracy for vital rights of people, it stressed.
Korean people's cause of reunification supported
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Representatives of the Communist Party of India, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Workers' Party of Bangladesh and general secretaries of the government Workers' Trade Union Federation of Sri Lanka and the Ceylon Trade Union Federation, which were participating in the 16th Congress of the Sri Lanka Communist Party, released a joint appeal in Colombo on Nov. 15 in support of the Korean people's cause of national reunification.
The appeal said that the proposal for founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo advanced by the President Kim Il Sung and the five-point policy of great national unity set forth by General Secretary Kim Jong Il are the most realistic proposal for Korea's reunification.
The United States should not interfere in the Korean issue so that the Korean people can reunify the country according to the proposal of confederacy formula and the South Korean authorities should affirmatively respond to this proposal for the common interests of the nation, the appeal said.
It called upon the peaceloving people of the world to conduct an active mass movement for supporting the heroic Korean people in their just struggle to realise the cherished desire of the nation to lead a happy life altogether in a reunified and prosperous country.
S. Korean "ANSP's budget" concealed
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Ha Kyong Gun, a "National Assemblyman" from the "Grand National Party" in South Korea, said that a "budget of the Agency for National Security Planning" has been confidentially concealed in the "defence budget," a South Korean newspaper reported.
He noted that when the "defence budget" for next year was deliberated on Nov. 19, the budget for military intelligence increased 78.6 billion won compared with this year. The increase of the secret budget for military intelligence throws doubt that the "ANSP's budget" is concealed in it, he said.
Stating that when the budget for this year was under deliberation, he heard that the budget for military intelligence was adjusted by the "ANSP," he demanded the secret of the budget for military intelligence be revealed.
CILRECO calls for stop to going against Korea's reunification
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The secretariat of the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea (CILRECO) published its bulletin No. 290 on November 14.
The bulletin said that the United States committed itself to stop use of and threat by armed forces against the DPRK while stating it would improve relations with the latter through "dialogue." however, the recent unprecedented military actions of the U.S. and the South Korean authorities prove that such "commitments" and "statement" are a deceptive fable to cover up their aggressive design and that they are still seeking the design to subjugate the DPRK by military pressure, it stressed.
The CILRECO secretariat urges the U.S. and the South Korean authorities to stop going against the reunification and peace of the Korean peninsula, the bulletin said.
The three principles of Korea's reunification are the only guideline for national reunification, the bulletin pointed out, saying: the South Korean authorities should contribute to reconciliation and dialogue between the north and the south with independent stand, not depending on outsiders.
The bulletin disclosed the Japanese authorities' unjustifiable anti-DPRK and anti-Chongryon (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) moves and demanded an immediate stop to them.
It also carries accounts of various events of solidarity held in different countries in the month of support to the proposal for founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo.
Hanchongryon delegate should be set free
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The Central Standing Committee of the Union of Korean Students Studying at Japanese schools published a statement on November 14 condemning the South Korean authorities' persecution of Hwang Son, a delegate of Hanchongryon (South Korean Federation of University Student Councils), according to Japan-based Joson Sinbo.
The statement said:
The union bitterly denounces the South Korean authorities' repression of Hwang Son as an anti-national, anti-reunification act of blocking independent exchange and meeting of the entire Korean youth and students in the north, south and abroad.
The South Korean ruler must abolish the notorious "National Security Law", unconditionally and promptly set free Hwang Son and immediately stop the fascist suppression of the pro-reunification patriotic forces.
We will conduct more vigorous struggle for the reunification of the country, in firm solidarity with youth and students in the north and the south under the banner of reunification and unity, the statement said.
Bean milk associated with benevolent love
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Vans with letters "bean milk" have run through the streets of Pyongyang from October Juche 81 (1992).
During the period they have covered 120,000 km each on an average and carried nearly 140,000 tons of bean milk for over 400,000 children and pupils of primary schools and senior middle schools.
In recent years, the DPRK has undergone great economic difficulties including food shortage owing to the imperialists' moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK and repeated natural disasters.
However, the vans have never stopped running even a day.
This shows General Secretary Kim Jong Il's view on posterity.
One day six years ago, Kim Jong Il read a technical document on a machine which made bean milk. Saying that it was his wish to continuously provide bean milk to children, he took a measure for production of bean milk.
Informed that a lot of money was needed for the purchase of bean milk machines and special vessels, he solved all problems.
He also took measures to provide bean milk to children in the best time for nourishment and form a vans' group for bean milk transport.
Since then the vans have carried over 70 tons of bean milk to hundreds of units in Pyongyang at the same time every day.
U.S. troops in S. Korea, aggressors with "UN forces" helmets on
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today runs a signed article stressing that the U.S. troops present in South Korea are not "UN forces" but imperialists' occupationist and aggressive forces with "UN forces" helmets on.
The author of the article says:
After the Second World War, the United States ignited a war of aggression against the DPRK to conquer the whole of the Korean peninsula and set up the "UN forces" in an attempt to cover up its true colors and justify aggressive acts.
On July 7, 1950, the United States illegally adopted the "resolution 84" of the UN Security Council at a meeting excluding the former Soviet Union, its permanent member. On the 25th, it set up the "UN Command" to name its troops and allied forces participating in the Korean War "UN forces."
Today, the Korean peninsula is regarded as the most dangerous "hotspot" in the world because South Korea has been occupied by the U.S. troops with the "UN forces" helmets on.
On the basis of their military occupation of South Korea, the U.S. imperialists have tenaciously obstructed the reunification of Korea and enforced an anti-social colonial fascist rule there, thus turning it into an anti-socialist, anti-DPRK forward base.
The U.S. forces present in South Korea are the main stumbling-block designed to fix the division of Korea and obstruct the reunification.
They have seriously hindered the peace and security of the Korean peninsula.
Although they wear the helmet of the "UN forces", the occupationist forces have committed crimes against peace and democracy in wanton violation of the charter and mission of the United Nations.
The 30th UN General Assembly Session adopted a resolution on dissolving the bogus "UN command" and withdrawing the US troops from South Korea.
Nevertheless, the United States has still kept its troops in South Korea under the signboard of "UN forces."
It should immediately withdraw its troops from South Korea as unanimously demanded by the Korean nation and the progressives of the world.
