Public security workers resolve to annihilate U.S. imperialist aggressors and their followers
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The servicemen of the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting on Dec. 4 in support of the statement of the spokesman for the general staff of the Korean People's Army, at which they stressed that if the U.S. imperialist aggressors and their followers force a war upon them, they will never miss the opportunity but completely wipe out the enemies from this land forever.
Speakers said that the statement of the spokesman for the KPA general staff is a solemn declaration of Juche Korea determined to decisively frustrate the U.S. imperialists' challenge with an annihilating strike, and a battle order issued to the Korean people and People's Army to turn out in a sacred war to annihilate the enemies.
They also renewed their resolution to more firmly prepare themselves to be heroes of human bombs and of suicidal attack in devotedly defending the headquarters of the revolution, bearing deep in mind the steadfast faith that they are sure to win under the leadership of Supreme Commander Marshal Kim Jong Il.
Minju Joson calls for frustrating U.S. war moves
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson today comes out with an editorial supporting the statement of the spokesman for the general staff of the Korean People's Army (KPA).
The editorial says:
The resolute stand of our revolutionary armed forces clarified in the statement of the spokesman of the general staff of the KPA represents the steadfast determination of all the Korean people singleheartedly united with it.
If any aggressors dare to infringe upon our inviolable socialist country, the Korean people will annihilate them at a stroke wherever they may be entrenched on this planet.
There is no limit to this striking power.
The more desperately the enemy may try, the greater the courage of the Korean people grows, the bitterer their indignation against him and the more steadfast their spirit to annihilate him.
Having the great Kim Jong Il, the illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu, as the Supreme Commander of the revolutionary armed forces, the Korean people have defended and exalted Korean socialism centred on the people under his guidance with an iron faith and will and with firm conviction of victory.
Whenever grim obstacles have cropped up in the way of our country, they have courageously overthrown them without any slightest vacillation and brought about great successes in socialist construction, frustrating ill-intentioned moves of the enemy. this is their tradition and intrinsic stamina.
Now is the rigorous time for all the Korean people to resolutely frustrate the challenge of the U.S. imperialists by means of making a revolutionary upswing in socialist construction, further exalting this glorious tradition. It is their mode of struggle to answer counterrevolutionary offensives of the enemy with revolutionary offensives and war of aggression with a revolutionary war, and bring about an advance in socialist construction, always keeping themselves alert and ready.
Under the present grim situation, all the officials and working people should have the steadfast faith and determination and press ahead with the forced march of socialism for final victory in a more keyed-up attitude than ever before, holding rifles in one hand and hammers and sickles in the other and thus bring about a new great revolutionary upsurge on all fronts of socialist construction.
Bellicose attempt = KCNA commentary =
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The present ruler of South Korea called the "Minister of National Defense," the "chairman of the joint chiefs of staff" and other brasshats to "Chongwadae" on December 3 and made bellicose utterances before them that they should always be on the alert for state security and make full military preparations, according to a news report.
The "Ministry of National Defense" at a "meeting of major commanding officers of the whole army" on the same day said that they should be ready to promptly smash any provocation and threat from the north.
This is a warlike outburst reflecting the bellicose attempt of the South Korean ruling quarters who are capitalizing on the move of the U.S. warmongers to ignite a war against the north at any cost.
As known to all, the U.S. wild ambition for invading the DPRK is reaching its height. The United States is hell bent on carrying on its "Operation Plan 5027," a plan for the second war of aggression on Korea, clamouring that the "worsening situation" was caused by the issue of non-existent "underground nuclear facility" and the launch of an artificial satellite in Korea.
At this juncture the South Korean ruling quarters openly expressed their bellicose attempt in tune with the U.S. aggressive moves, thus leading the military situation of the country to the brink of war.
Facts prove that "exchange" and "cooperation" on their lips are no more than a camouflage signboard to cover up their war moves and their ulterior object is to gain control over the DPRK in military affairs.
Under the grave obtaining situation all the Korean people and People's Army soldiers are in full battle readiness to beat back any surprise attack of the enemies at a stroke.
It is the revolutionary mettle of our army to answer the sword of the enemies with rifle, rifle with gun, "retaliation" with retaliation and all-out war with all-out war.
If the South Korean ruling quarters launch a war against the north as a U.S. bullet shield in defiance of our repeated warnings, we will not miss the opportunity to deal a mortal blow to the enemies.
Reckless move to stifle fellow countrymen = KCNA commentary =
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Hong Sun Yong, South Korean "Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade," referring to the issue of "underground nuclear facility" at a "press talkfest" on December 2, made impudent remarks that in case the character of an underground facility in the north is not made clear, they will take the matter to the United Nations, according to a news report.
His remarks are no more than a criminal one to internationalize the move to isolate and stifle us through the UN arena.
As we clarified on several occasions, "suspected underground nuclear facility" is a fabrication cooked up by the U.S. hard-line conservatives in an attempt to isolate and stifle the DPRK.
It is ludicrous for the South Korean authorities to plan to take this matter to the UN arena.
This proves that they are a group of arch traitors who are prolonging their remaining days with pro-American flunkeyism and treachery and who do harm to fellow countrymen without hesitation.
Worse still, his remarks are timed to coincide with the open expression of the U.S. attempt to stifle the DPRK by force of arms.
The South Korean authorities, running high fever in their war exercises against the north in keeping with the U.S. anti-DPRK policy, are busy themselves about mendicant diplomacy, raising a hue and cry about "underground nuclear facility of the north" and "joint step," but in vain.
Although the successive rulers of South Korea left no stone unturned to do harm to us, they got nothing but shame and ruin.
The South Korean authorities should know this clearly and calm themselves down.
Kim Jong Il sends his own handwriting to schoolboy
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) - General Secretary Kim Jong Il read a letter presented by Ri Chung Hyok, a fourth-year pupil of Pyongyang Munsu Primary School and sent his own handwriting to him.
The handwriting reads:
"November 25, 1998 Kim Jong Il you deserve my praise.
I hope you will be good at your studies."
The pupil saw on television General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspecting the frontline without gloves on a snowy cold winter day. So he sent him a letter carrying his mind of loyalty and filial piety and a pair of woolen gloves he knitted by himself.
Boy as he is, he learned from his mother how to do knitting and made the gloves in three months.
In his letter he wrote that the marshal should be in good health so that the bright future and happiness of the motherland may be everlasting and that he would like to become warmth to warm the body of the marshal.
Ri Chung Hyok, born into an ordinary worker's family, has excelled others in talent since he was three years old and now reached the third-year standard of senior middle school in mathematics and nature.
He had the honour of winning the 11th National Mental Arithmetic Game of primary school pupils this year.
Kim Jong Il sends his own handwriting to schoolboy
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The United States, not content with its recent row over the DPRK's non-existent "secret underground nuclear facility," is now calling for an inspection of "related nuclear facilities" and even a "regular inspection", says Rodong Sinmun in a commentary today.
The news analyst continues:
The fact illustrates that the U.S. row over the "suspected underground nuclear facilities" has been directed on the anti-DPRK scenario and has grown more dangerous and grave as the time goes by.
The U.S. conservative hard-liners, having intentionally produced the issue of "suspected underground nuclear facilities" which have nothing to do with nuclear activity, are trying to make it a fait accompli. what they seek in this is to search the inside of the DPRK as they want and find a pretext for military intervention.
Disarming caused by the U.S. row over the "suspected underground nuclear facilities" is an unimaginable thing for the Korean people.
The DPRK will never tolerate any act which is harmful to the security and interests of the country.
The Korean people will strongly react to enemy's brigandish demand.
The U.S. conservative hard-liners should squarely know who are their opponents and behave with discretion.
We will smash enemies if they pounce upon us
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The officers and men of the Korean People's Army (KPA) are replete with the fighting spirit to mercilessly annihilate the U.S. imperialist aggressors.
Ju Sang Song, a general officer of the KPA, said this, reflecting the steadfast faith and will of the KPA.
He said:
The KPA means what it says. it is a character of the KPA that if the enemies impose a war upon it, it will wage the war and will certainly win victory in the war.
The U.S. imperialists, the aggressors, must not want mercy from the rifles of justice.
The KPA, which set the U.S. imperialists downhill in the Fatherland Liberation War, will bury the aggressors in the trap of ruin forever in today's decisive battle.
The choice of strength does not rest only with the United states.
If the aggressors pounce upon us, we will mercilessly annihilate them as if we flap a fly and will cut off their dirty windpipes forever. this is the revolutionary will of our People's Army.
With the decisive battle of victory on hand, the KPA takes a solemn pledge before Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il, the country and people and justice of the world.
If the U.S. imperialists ignite the train of a war, we will make the United States, a crime-woven country, no longer exist on the earth.
Japan will meet with big disaster
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today warns that Japan which is trying to get something by taking issue with the DPRK will meet with a big disaster while blindly following the United States, a blusterer.
The news analyst says:
The chief executive of Japan intends to label the DPRK's satellite launch as the "launch of ballistic missile," while bringing forward the issue of a "secret underground nuclear facility." this is a faultfinding of the Japanese rightwing conservative forces to use them as a pretext of pressure upon the DPRK.
We are disgusted with foreign policy of Japan that is dancing to the others' tune without its own viewpoint and principle.
It is foolish of the Japanese reactionaries to talk about "close cooperation," playing into the hands of the United States and the South Korean authorities.
The Japanese authorities think they can do anything, when they are determined. they are mistaken.
We mean what we say.
Japan must have a good knowledge of the situation and stop acting rashly.
Thai National Day celebrated
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Papers here today say that the Korean people warmly congratulate the Thai people on the national day.
The Thai people, upholding King Bhumibol Adulyadej as the center of the nation, make great efforts for building a free and prosperous country, says Rodong Sinmun in a signed article.
The daily goes on:
Thailand, a member state of Asean, concentrates primary attention on developing economic cooperation among the member states and achieving peace and stability in the region.
Today, the DPRK-Thailand friendship is developing on good terms in conformity with the desire and requirement of the peoples of the two countries.
Minju Joson says that the Korean people believe that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Thailand will grow stronger and develop and wish the Thai people fresh success in their work for the prosperity of the country.
NDFSK on situation of S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- The Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) published an indictment one year after South Korea was placed under the trusteeship of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation said.
The indictment documents that a wretched situation has been prevalent in South Korea since it was placed under the trusteeship of IMF.
The document says:
The money market into which IMF infiltrated on the plea of a "restructuring programme" before any other economic domains of South Korea has turned into a theatre of rowdyism of international money swindlers.
No sooner had a consensus been reached on the bailout of IMF than the present "government" of South Korea approved an "amendment to a bill on financial and industrial restructuring" the keynote of which was the sales of banks and enacted and enforced the "law on the coordination of employment" the kenote of which was to legalise "lay-off system." it also provided all circumstances and conditions for foreign capital to infiltrate into South Korea and make fabulous profits without limit.
As a consequence, foreign monopolistic capital used the "economic restructuring programme" for purchasing conglomerates, public enterprises and banks and firing the employees as it wishes.
The trusteeship of IMF put the economy in a completely criticial condition.
The rate of economic growth was minus 5.3 percent in the first half of the year and the export was decreased by 20 percent in September as compared with the same period last year.
The domestic demand decreased by 28 percent in the first half of the year, the worst in global economic history. More than 23,000 enterprises went bankrupt till late September.
The dong ah business group, the Hai Tai Ind, Co., Ltd. and other corporations of 30 big businesses called pillars of the South Korean economy were dismantled and over 270 subsidiaries of big businesses and mainstay enterprises went bankrupt.
As a result of the worsening crisis of foreign currency after the trusteeship of IMF, foreign capital amounted to about 30 billion dollars, including 18 billion dollars from IMF.
South Korea is saddled with a total amount of more than 200 billion dollars in foreign debt.
The livelihood of the people grew worst after the trusteeship of IMF.
According to official data released by the authorities, the number of the unemployed is two million from 450,000.
The poor die of starvation and illness owing to the flunkeyist acts of the Kim Dae Jung "government."
The one-year-long trusteeship of IMF proves that dependence on outside forces leads to ruins and death.
