NDFSK vows to wage more powerful struggle
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Pak Kwang Gi, chief of the Pyongyang mission of the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK), made public a statement on Friday as regards the struggle for independence, democracy and reunification which has been gaining momentum in South Korea this year.
He said:
Under the acute and complex situation the South Korean people of all social standings waged an undaunted struggle with main emphasis laid on anti-U.S. independence and bravely fought, as the driving force of reunification movement, in face of the Kim Dae Jung group's unprecedented fascist suppression.
Great progress made in the mass movement this year is mainly attributable to the fact that the absolute worship for Marshal Kim Jong Il, the sun of the nation and the lodestar of national reunification, and the ardent desire to live under his government at an early date grew stronger than ever before.
The people in the south cherish the unshakable faith that only when they are guided by the marshal, the savior of the nation, can they certainly win a great victory and are filled with a firm determination to struggle with redoubled efforts.
In the New Year NDFSK and the South Korean people will continue to wage a more powerful anti-U.S., anti-war, anti-fascist struggle and bring about an epochal phase in the national reunification movement through a nation-wide struggle without fail.
U.S. should discard bad habit of taking issue with others
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Of late U.S. President Bill Clinton took issue with the DPRK over human rights problem.
At a ceremony held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the universal declaration of human rights, he said that the DPRK "needs to improve a human rights record."
His provocative remarks are nothing but an absurd sophism aimed at finding a pretext for u.s. Interference in the internal affairs of the DPRK.
The U.S. is a publicly-recognized country of human rights violations. In the U.S. tens of millions of jobless people are roaming from place to place and millions of homeless people are frozen to death. People are shot to death in broad daylight and the black people and ethnic minorities are subjected to all hues of maltreatment in the U.S.
The U.S., however, acting like a "judge of human rights," takes issue with other countries over "human rights problem." it is foolish of the U.S. to do so.
The U.S. anti-DPRK diatribe over "human rights problem" is part of its vain pressure within the framework of anti-DPRK campaign which is getting all the more pronounced with each passing day.
The American viewpoint of human rights does not go down with us who have genuine human rights of Korean style.
The Korean people absolutely trust the anthropocentric Korean socialist system which fully guarantees their human rights, and regard it as their life and soul.
The U.S. would be well-advised to discard its bad habit of taking issue with others. If it refuses to discard the bad habit, it will only find itself disgraced and isolated.
New Year gifts conveyed to Japan-resident Koreans
Tokyo, December 24 (KNS-KCNA) -- Gifts sent by Marshal Kim Jong Il on the New Year were conveyed to officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and patriotic-minded Korean traders and industrialists in Japan with due ceremony in Tokyo on December 24.
Addressing the meeting, first vice-chairman of the Chongryon central standing committee So Man Sul said the gifts reflect the great trust and love of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Il who is identical to the President Kim Il Sung in valuing and loving Chongryon and Japan-resident Koreans.
This year Chongryon has smashed anti-DPRK, anti-Chongryon move, the most vicious since the formation of Chongyron, dynamically pushed ahead with its patriotic work and achieved proud successes, he noted, adding: "That is a valuable fruition of the ideology, politics, leadership and benevolence of the marshal."
"Cooperation" will lead to self-destruction
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The South Korean authorities exchanged opinions on the "nuclear issue of the north" with the Japanese vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs in Seoul on December 23, according to a report.
The "nuclear issue of the north" raised again by the South Korean ruling quarters and the Japanese reactionaries is the issue of "secret underground nuclear facility" invented by the U.S. conservative hardliners for their ulterior political purpose, the falsity of which has been proved.
Nevertheless, the present South Korean rulers are clamouring about the "north's underground nuclear facilties", a product of anti-DPRK campaign, begging for cooperation with outsiders to do harm to the DPRK.
In a nutshell, the exchange of "opinions" is like a thief crying "stop thief".
Worse still, the South Korean rulers urged the north to keep the three principles -- declaration on denuclearization on the Korean peninsula, the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and the DPRK-U.S. framework agreement.
This is ridiculous. Japan is hell-bent on moves to become a nuclear giant and the South Korean authorities are threatening the north with a large number of nuclear weapons introduced from the United States.
The South Korean authorities and the Japanese reactionaries will be judged by history for their crimes.
They should stop their frantic anti-DPRK campaign and act with discretion.
