Wallpaper praising Kim Jong Il appears in S. Korea
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- A wallpaper praising General Secretary Kim Jong Il was pasted up in Yongdungpho district, South Korea, the Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation quoted the Seoul city committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea as saying.
The wallpaper in the name of the Sobaeksu Society under the title "Long live the leader Kim Jong Il, builder of a reunified and prosperous powerful nation " said: We are envious of the north making great progress in the efforts to build a powerful nation, rallied close around Kim Jong Il, the outstanding leader of the nation.
Aggressors had better sing dirge
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- A "commemoration ceremony" will reportedly be held in Britain in July, nearly half a century after the Korean War (June 1950-July 1953) came to an end.
Living corpses, who had been driven into the Korean War from the U.S. and its satellites as cannon fodder and narrowly survived the war, are gathering at London to take part in the ceremony.
It is foolish of the South Korean ruling quarters to say that the "commemoration ceremony" will be the "largest in scale" and that they will offer funds to "congratulatory party", trying to take this opportunity to create a worldwide atmosphere for war against the north.
If the reactionary forces at the "ceremony" raise anti-DPRK war rackets and dare attempt to pounce upon the DPRK again, it will be the greatest mistake.
None of aggressors will return home alive, though they survived the past Korean War and there will not be the crippled any longer for the so-called "commemoration ceremony."
They would be well advised to ruminate of a bitter lesson drawn from the Korean War and sing dirge, repenting of their crimes at the "ceremony."

They stressed that they would set up a joint organization for a struggle in solidarity with the Trade Unions of L.G. Semiconductor Co., Ltd., the Dae Woo Electronics Co., Ltd. and the Sam Sung Motor Co., Ltd. and fight against the "restructuring" and layoff system.
S. Korea will be plagued with greater pressure from U.S.
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- The Christian Broadcasting System in Seoul reported that South Korea will be plagued greater pressure from the United States, coupled with serious economic crisis under the trusteeship of the International Monetary Fund, with the United States reviving the brigandish "Super 301."
The United States has long demanded that South Korea further increase the scope of the opening of the market in terms of beef and telecommunications equipment and invoked "Super 301" so as to make South Korea to drastically reduce tariff and open the market in favor of the U.S. motors.
With the United States reviving "Super 301", South Korea will have trade friction with the U.S., the radio said.
Deceptive nature of renaming of "ANSP" exposed
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- O Ik Je, vice-chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, laid bare the deceitfulness of the South Korean authorities in renaming the "Agency for National Security Planning" (ANSP) the "National Intelligence Service" (NIS).
He contributed an article to Rodong Sinmun in the wake of the renaming.
The article says:
By renaming the "ANSP" the "NIS" the present chief executive of South Korea seeks to mislead public opinion and further expand and strengthen the function of the fascist and plot-breeding "ANSP."
The renaming was stemmed from his attempt to use the "NIS" as a tool for maintaining "government."
The South Korean authorities said that the "appearance" of the "NIS" is aimed dispelling the negative image of the past and concentrating on "offering economic information to people." The "NIS" has no economic experts ranging from director and vice-directors to section chiefs, agents and staff though.
The present chief executive had been on the jaws of death by the "Central Intelligence Agency" and fell a victim of a plot hatched by the "ANSP". He is now using it as means of maintaining power after he came into power. This fully shows that he is a philistine preoccupied by greed for power and versed in the art of camouflage and deception.
Japan's ulterior intention
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- Japan's Liberal Party leader Ichiro Ozawa, defining "areas surrounding Japan" as a geographical concept, said that "the Korean peninsula, Russia, China and Taiwan were obviously part of areas surrounding Japan."
Rodong Sinmun today describes his remark as a revelation of crafty Japan's ulterior intention.
"Emergency in Japan" was replaced with "emergency in areas surrounding Japan" in the "Japan-U.S. guidelines for defense cooperation," updated in 1996, but Japan has not made clear what "areas surrounding Japan" mean, the news analyst says and goes on:
Recently Ozawa made clear what the "areas" mean.
For Japan which has worked hard to enact laws on "emergencies in areas surrounding Japan" and cried for "a springboard toward the world," seeking overseas expansion, "areas surrounding Japan" are not far from a geographical concept. Japan is designing overseas expansion through military operations in the Asia-pacific region.
The "guidelines" is a war scenario of aggression from A to Z. As Ozawa remarked, the Korean peninsula, Russia, China, and Taiwan are obviously part of areas surrounding Japan referred to in the "guidelines."
The Japanese reactionaries have long made full preparations for overseas aggression by stepping up militarization of Japan.
What should be done in future is "aid" to the U.S. troops under the "guidelines."
The Japanese reactionaries must stop resorting to a trick to cover up the aggressive nature of the "guidelines" and renounce the wild design for overseas expansion.
