Kim Jong Pil humiliated by students

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- "Prime minister" of South Korea Kim Jong Pil was attacked by students under the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils, a Seoul-based radio said. Black-hearted intention should be dropped

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The chief executive of Japan was recently reported to have asserted at a joint press conference with the U.S. President that North Korea "fired a missile to fly over the territorial air of Japan" and that "it is yet to clear suspicion about the nuclear facility issue" and settle the "issue of the abducted Japanese." A signed commentary of Rodong Sinmun today has come down hard on this anti-DPRK diatribe.
Noting that it is the inveterate bad habit of the Japanese reactionaries to achieve their ulterior aim by faulting others, the commentary observes: We have never fired missiles to fly over the territorial air of Japan and have neither "issue of suspected nuclear facility" nor "issue of abducted Japanese."
The reactionary Japanese ruling quarters are getting hectic in their moves to equip the Japan "Self-Defence Forces" with more sophisticated medium- and long-range means of war, establish a war-time system and carry out the aggressive "Guidelines for Japan-U.S. Defence Cooperation" on the pretext of coping with the "threat" from us. The aim sought by them in trying to make this sheer sophism intended to defame us sound as an established opinion is to tarnish the high authority and international prestige of our republic and isolate it.
The Japanese authorities are talking about "improved Japan-DPRK relations." If these ties are to be improved, Japan should settle its past and rectify its hostile policy towards the DPRK. However, they still persist in their insolent anti-DPRK smear campaign, refusing to take any option to resolve these fundamental issues. No improvement can be expected of the DPRK-Japan relations under this situation.

Victory of just cause

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- Papers here today dedicate articles to the 54th anniversary of the great victory of the Soviet people in the patriotic war after defeating Hitler group of fascists. Rodong Sinmun says the Soviet people's victory demonstrated the superiority of socialism and its invincible vitality and gave a strong impetus to worldwide progress of socialism.
The paper goes on: 54 years have passed since World War II. Danger of war still remains worldwide and the imperialists further intensify their reactionary offensive against socialism and peace, though. The imperialists are making desperate efforts to turn back the wheel of history. However, they can never keep the people from advancing along the road to socialism and independence. For its validity socialism is sure to win.
Minju Joson says that the victory in the war against Germany was the victory of justice over injustice, the victory of the world peaceloving forces over dominationism and warhawks.
