U.S. "operation plan 5027-98" condemned
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Council for National Reconciliation issued a statement on June 2 denouncing the U.S. imperialists for working out a new plan for a war of aggression called "operation plan 5027-98" and working hard to carry it out. The statement noted that the "operation plan 5027-98" is a plan for a war of aggression surpassing the former notorious "operation plan 5027" in bellicosity and danger.
The plan reflects the U.S.'s intention to make a preemptive attack on the north any moment and sets such an extremely adventurous stage as "occupation and rule" over someone after the end of war, it said, and went on: What is all the more dangerous is the fact that they are running amok in the air attack on Yugoslavia which is believed to be a test war, a preliminary war to put the "second Korean war" into practice, while deploying large armed forces and war equipment in South Korea under the pretext of filling up "vacuum" and staging large-scale war exercises between the U.S., Japan and South Korea almost every day.
As the "operation plan 5027-98" envisages a preemptive attack if there is a "sign" of movement in the north, their large-scale war exercises reached such a very dangerous stage that no one can presuppose when the exercises will turn into a real war.
The "operation plan 5027-98" proves that the U.S.'s outcries for "peace" and "stability" on the Korean peninsula are a hypocrisy and they are the very ones who bring clouds of war to the Korean nation and the wrecker of peace. If the U.S. and the South Korean rulers ignite a war of aggression, they will be burnt to death by fire of justice showered by the Korean people and people's army united in one mind.
Meeting of co-chairmen of Pomchonghakryon held
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- The 9th meeting of co-chairmen of the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country's Reunification (Pomchonghakryon) was held in Beijing between May 19 and 21. Present there were chairmen of the north and overseas headquarters of Pomchonghakryon and its secretariat members.
The presidium of the south headquarters of Pomchonghakryon was represented at the meeting through the exchange of documents owing to the obstruction of the South Korean authorities. The meeting summed up last year's reunification movement of Pomchonghakryon and discussed this year's working plan and the issue of building the 4th-term co-secretariat.
Adopted there were a resolution on hailing and carrying into effect the proposal of a joint meeting of the government, political parties and organizations of the north side, a special statement of the co-chairmen of Pomchonghakryon denouncing the U.S. 's war moves and other documents.
The resolution said: The joint meeting demanded the South Korean authorities put into practice the priorities for dialogue between the north and south -- the abrogation of "cooperation" system with outsiders, discontinuation of joint military exercises, repeal of the "National Security Law" and ensuring of freedom of the reunification movement and activities of pro-reunification patriotic organizations such as Pomminryon (National Alliance for the Country's Reunification) and Hanchongryon (South Korean Federation of University Student Councils) and public figures.
If the present "government" truly wants a new phase of dialogue between the north and the south for national concord and reunification, it should immediately put into practice the priorities without any prejudice and political intrigue.
Pomchonghakryon vows to take the lead in carrying into practice the proposal of the joint meeting and struggle to put an end to the tensions on the Korean peninsula and outsiders' domination and intervention and open an epochal phase of national reunification through the great unity of the whole nation this year.
The special statement said the U.S. imperialists should discontinue the anachronistic and adventurous. Korea policy and the war maneuvers against the north at once, promptly withdraw their aggression forces and military equipment including nuclear weapons from South Korea, make an immediate apology for their responsibility for all misfortunes and sufferings the Korean nation has undergone owing to the division and compensate for them and no longer interfere in the internal affairs of the Korean nation.
It also urged the South Korean authorities not to seek a fratricidal war by clinging to the coattails of outsiders, but confess their wrong flunkeyist and treacherous acts before the nation and make a policy switchover to national independence.

War exercises of S. Korean rulers
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today comes out with a signed commentary denouncing the South Korean warmongers for acting as a shock brigade and vanguard in executing "operation plan 5027-98," a plan of the U.S. for a second Korean war.
Pointing out that the warmongers have staged one provocative war exercise against the DPRK after another these days, the news analyst of the paper says: This is an intolerable challenge and provocation against the DPRK which is making every sincere effort for national reconciliation and unity, peace and peaceful reunification.
They are planned exercises aimed at mastering military conducts for northward invasion under the updated "operation plan 5027-98."
The DPRK will never tolerate frantic moves of the South Korean warmongers to militarily stifle the fellow countrymen in the north hand in glove with foreign aggression forces, branding them as "principal enemy." The South Korean rulers would be well advised to act with discretion, mindful that provocation of war against the DPRK will precipitate their own destruction.

Minju Joson observes 35th anniversary of June 3 Uprising
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson today carries a signed article marking the 35th anniversary of the June 3 Uprising of the South Korean students and people against the South Korea-Japan "talks" in 1964.
The June 3 Uprising in which South Korean youth and students took the initiative was a resolute massive protest against the criminal acts of the U.S. and Japanese aggression forces and the South Korean authorities to conclude the aggressive and treacherous South Korea-Japan "talks" and an eruption of national indignation against the reinvasion moves of the Japanese militarist forces and the flunkeyist and treacherous acts of traitors, the paper says, and goes on: The uprising failed, but it frustrated the "talks," dealing a telling blow to the foreign forces and traitors and demonstrating the indomitable fighting spirit and heroic stamina of students and people.
The "people's government" rulers turned South Korea into a dual colony of the U.S. and Japan by the pro-American and pro-Japanese flunkeyist and treacherous acts and the policy of dependence on foreign forces unprecedented in history, bound the people to the fetters of colonial slavery and are actively serving as a "shock brigade" of the U.S. 's war provocation moves against the DPRK.
The reality proves that the South Korean people can not extricate themselves from misfortunes and sufferings nor achieve the peace and peaceful reunification of the country without thwarting and frustrating the domination and interference of the foreign forces trampling down the nation's sovereignty and dignity in South Korea and the treacherous acts of the authorities prolonging their remaining days with flunkeyism and dependence on foreign forces. The desire of the June 3 uprisers, who bravely fought against the aggressors and traitors 35 years ago, should be realised without fail.
U.S. arbitrary act should not be allowed
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today carries a signed article on the arbitrary and despotic practices of the United States for world domination which are getting more undisguised as regards the Yugoslav crisis. The article says: The United States is using unreasonable pretext to interfere in internal affairs of those countries that go against the grain with it and those regions and countries that are situated in military strategic vantage-points.
It is openly resorting to military threat, pressure and aggression, considering strength an almighty means of establishing a U.S.-led unipolar world. Its arbitrariness is manifested in acting as it pleases, ignoring the United Nations and other international organizations. The targets of its arbitrary practices are small and big countries, international organizations, even "allied nations", and countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
The U.S. is seeking a way of establishing the sphere of their domination over the Asia-pacific region in unleashing a war of aggression on the Korean peninsula. The U.S. war hawks have worked out a new "operation plan 5027-98" and are fully prepared for a preemptive attack on the DPRK. The U.S. considers its military actions in Yugoslavia as a good opportunity to test up-to-date weapons for the second Korean war and round off its military operation command system.
Unless its arbitrary practices are shattered, neither peace and security of the world can be defended nor can international justice and impartiality can ensured. The reckless moves of the U.S. to dominate the world should be checked and frustrated.
The unshakable anti-imperialist independent stand should be maintained and even the slightest concession and compromise should not be tolerated.
One should not harbor the slightest illusion about the U.S. and yield to economic blockade and military pressure. In order to shatter their arbitrary practices it is necessary to increase self-reliant national defence capabilities. One should cultivate one's strength and decisively counter any pressure and challenge of the enemies, convinced of the validity of one's cause.
