Invincible Worker's Party of Korea

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- The Korean people significantly celebrated the 54th birthday of the Worker's Party of Korea (Oct. 10, 1945), which is their guiding force.
It is thanks to the foundation of the WPK that the Korean people have victoriously carved out their own destinies with the reliable vanguard unit.
The Korean revolution has advanced through arduous struggle under the unprecedentedly complicated situation since the liberation of the country (August 1945).
Firmly maintaining the Juche character under this situation, the WPK has always put forward its lines and policies placing the requirement and interests of the Korean people above all.
In 1946, the WPK advanced the policy to carry out the agrarian reform on the principle of the confiscation without compensation and free distribution and to make the confiscated land peasants' private ownership, not the state property, so as to solve the land problem.
The policy was carried out without any turns and twists because it thoroughly defended the interests of the peasants and thus the land problem was successfully solved at the stage of the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution in Korea.
After the war the agricultural cooperativization was completed in 4-5 years and the socialist industrialization was successfully carried out in 14 years thanks to the WPK, which set forth the Juche-oriented lines and wisely led the popular masses to its realization.
Therefore, all the lines and policies put forward by the WPK enjoy absolute support from the popular masses and the Korean revolution is vigorously advancing along the road of its own choice without the slightest deviation.
In recent years socialism collapsed in different countries and the imperialists' anti-socialist, anti-DPRK moves have continued. But Korea is firmly defending the socialist banner. This is also attributable to the WPK which advanced the Juche-oriented revolutionary lines and aroused all the people to carry them into effect.
So, the Korean people are vigorously hastening the second grand Chollima march following the "arduous march" and the forced march under the leadership of the invincible WPK.

The station is of weighty significance in protecting Pyongyang from being flooded and increasing power production.
The construction of Songha Power Station no. 3 and Rimsan Power Station no.2 in Songgan, and a wharf project of Taehung port and other projects were completed by the dynamic efforts of the working people in the second grand Chollima march.

S. Korean rulers' rigmarole about "human rights" condemned

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the central committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland issued a statement on Sunday denouncing the South Korean rulers for instigating reptile organizations to bring a "human rights issue" before a "meeting of Non-Governmental Organizations" to be held in Seoul.
    The statement says:
The human rights are being violated in South Korea where the foreign forces and flunkeyists and quislings are at large and patriotism and justice are being trampled down.
It is none other than the South Korean authorities who have kept POWs in South Korea, inflicting all sorts of persecutions and sufferings upon them. Those unconverted long-term prisoners should have been sent back to the north according to the international law and the Korean Armistice Agreement.
Such being the case, the South Korean rulers are raising a hue and cry over "human rights abuses" by the north in a bid to conceal human rights violations in South Korea, disparage the DPRK whose dignity and prestige are growing as days go by and to dampen longings of the South Korean people for the north.
The DFRF central committee strongly condemns the South Korean rulers' projected anti-DPRK campaign through the "meeting" as a premeditated provocation to impair the dignity and prestige of the DPRK and as a challenge to the desire of the fellow countrymen for the reconciliation and unity of the nation.
The South Korean rulers are well advised to immediately stop this anti-DPRK campaign.
If they finally conduct the anti-DPRK campaign at the "meeting of non-governmental organizations" despite our warnings, they will be held wholly responsible for all the grave consequences arising therefrom.

DCRK founding proposal, blueprint of Korea's reunification

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates a signed article to the 19th anniversary of the advancement of the proposal for founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo (DCRK) by the President Kim Il Sung at the sixth congress of the Worker's Party of Korea.
The proposal says that the country should be reunified by founding confederal republic through the establishment of a unified national government on the condition that the north and the south recognize and tolerate each other's ideas and social systems, a government in which the two sides are represented on an equal footing and under which they exercise regional autonomy with equal rights and duties.
The proposal for founding the DCRK is a bright blueprint which outlines the features of a unified state and the way of its realization, the article says, and goes on:
The proposal, taking the interests of the two sides into due consideration, comprehensively elucidates all matters arising in founding and operating a unified state including the principle and way of forming a confederal state, its characters and function, the duties and correlation of a unified government and regional governments, the name and administrative policy of a confederal state.
According to the proposal, the confederal state will be based on one nation, one state, two systems and two governments.
It is the most reasonable and realistic proposal to reunify the country, neither side conquering the other or being conquered, in conformity with the concrete conditions in which different ideas and social systems have existed in the north and south of Korea.
It is the reunification proposal of national independence which indicates a way of reunifying the country in a peaceful way by the efforts of the Korean nation, and the reunification proposal common to the nation which is acceptable to anyone who truly loves the country and the nation and wants reunification.
General Secretary Kim Jong Il has regarded it as an iron rule to defend and carry through the Juche-oriented lines and policies of national reunification advanced by the President and wisely led the struggle of the Korean people to realise the proposal for founding the DCRK.
Kim Jong Il has established strong pillars of reunification by formulating the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point program of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding DCRK advanced by the President as the three charters of national reunification.
In order to achieve the reunification of the country by realising the proposal for founding the DCRK under the leadership of Kim Jong Il it is imperative to firmly adhere to the principle of national independence, remove the danger of war from the Korean peninsula, ensure a lasting peace and achieve great national unity, transcending differences in idea, ideal and systems.
