U.S. commits aerial espionage on DPRK

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The U.S. carried out more than 140 cases of aerial espionage on the DPRK by mobilizing strategic and tactical reconnaissance planes of various missions including U-2, RC-135, P-3 and EH-60 this month, according to a military source.
On the 29th the U-2 committed a photographing and electronic reconnaissance on the in-depth of the DPRK while making a high-altitude flight over the Military Demarcation Line.
More than 30 cases of aerial espionage had been committed by this strategic reconnaissance plane this month.
On the 28th, three RC-12 tactical reconnaissance planes made shuttle flights over the forefront areas from east to west day and night for an aerial espionage on the front and coastal areas of the DPRK.

Gas masks distributed to U.S. embassy officials in Seoul

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The U.S., hell-bent on the "Foal Eagle 99" war exercise against the DPRK, on October 29 distributed gas masks not only to the U.S. troops present in South Korea but also to its embassy officials and their families in Seoul, according to a Seoul-based radio broadcast.
It is the first time that the U.S. distributed gas masks to embassy officials and their families abroad.
This is a criminal acts to incite a war atmosphere in South Korea and complete the preparations for a war against the north, which is inviting public protest.

Abolition of S. Korea's "security law" urged

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The U.S. headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification, the Western Area Association of Koreans in the U.S., the south California branch of the American Association for Independence, Democracy and Reunification and other Koreans' organizations in America issued a joint statement on Oct. 5 in demand of the abolition of the "security law" in South Korea.
The statement said that with the year 2000 approaching, the Korean nation is strongly calling for an end to the history of division spanning more than half a century.
In order to realise reconciliation and reunification between the north and south, the "security law", which defines the fellow countrymen as an "enemy", should be abolished in the south, it held, denouncing the present South Korean ruling forces for their suppression of the pro-reunification patriotic forces by the evil law.

Sit-in strike in S. Korea

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- More than 1,000 unionists of the Hanna Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Staged a sit-in strike for vital rights till Oct. 26, a Seoul-based radio reported.
Their struggle had lasted for 70 days since they went on a full strike in mid-August in demand of "stability of employment," "reinstatement of the dismissed" and the like.

Continued presence of U.S. troops in S. Korea denounced

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- Kim Chol Min, a political critic of South Korea, published an article headlined "Comment on call for 'U.S. troops' continued presence after Korea's reunification'", the Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation said.
The call is aimed at the government "security" of the present South Korean chief executive, reunification under the "system of liberal democracy" and the realization of the U.S. "dominationist strategy for unipolar world", the article said, and went on:
After taking the "presidential seat" Kim Dae Jung called on his master, the United States, and said that the U.S. forces should remain in South Korea even after the reunification of Korea. This is because the U.S. forces present in South Korea are blocking the anti-"government" advance of the democratic patriotic forces with strength and supporting the "security" of his government power.
The Kim Dae Jung group, quickly mindful of the U.S. military strength in South Korea and its need for permanent presence, advocated the "continued presence of the U.S. forces after the reunification of Korea" and thus curried favour with the master and concocted a plot for the escape from the crisis, "security" of the government power and maintenance of vested rights.
Against this background, the call for "permanent presence of the U.S. forces after the reunification" came into being.
The call is one for the anti-national flunkeyist treachery which is aimed at killing the fellow countrymen in the north with the help of the U.S. forces in South Korea.
By "reunification," the Kim Dae Jung group means reunification under the "system of liberal democracy".
His argument about "three stages for reunification" means to introduce "liberal democracy" and market economy in the north through exchange, instill bourgeois ideas into it, induce it to "change for peaceful transition" and thus achieve the "reunification" under the manipulation of South Korea.
Such attempt for "reunification" sought by the Kim Dae Jung group is a dangerous act as it presupposes the help of the U.S. forces present in South Korea.
The call for the independent reunification through alliance with the north is a manifestation of patriotism and a crystal of the consciousness of kinship and unity with fellow countrymen, whereas call for reunification under the "system of liberal democracy", dependent upon foreign forces, is a revelation of treachery and a product of hostile consciousness toward the fellow countrymen.
The call for "the permanent presence of the U.S. forces in South Korea after the reunification" directly serves for the realization of the U.S. "dominationist strategy for unipolar world," lays a stumbling block in shaping of the destiny of the Korean nation and aims to reverse the trend of global independence.
The U.S. policy-makers regard the Korean peninsula located in the crossroad in East Asia as a military and geo-political vantage point for U.S. supremacy in the 21st century and "domination for unipolar world" and claim that the U.S. forces should be kept in South Korea for an indefinite period after the reunification of Korea.
The call is also used for defending the U.S. ulterior intention to dominate and plunder not only the Korean peninsula but also the nations and peoples of all countries on the planet.
Hence one can come to the following conclusion= firstly, the call is one for aggressive permanent occupation of South Korea which is directly serving for the U.S. military strategy for dominating the Korean peninsula and the strategy for unipolar world= secondly, it is reactionary one which is aimed at emasculating the independent development of the Korean nation and people and reversing the trend of global independence.
The Kim Dae Jung group must reflect on its arch crimes and step down at once.

U.S. urged to apologize to Korean people

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a statement on Oct. 22 denouncing the massacre committed by the U.S. aggression troops in the Rogun-ri area during the Korean War.
The statement said that the U.S. forces occupying South Korea are the root cause of all misfortunes of the Korean people, a hotbed of war on the Korean peninsula and a basic obstacle to the reunification of Korea.
It strongly denounced the U.S. forces for their massacre in Rogun-ri, South Korea, and in Sinchon county, South Hwanghae Province, the North Korea, during the Korean War.
It demanded the United States stop at once the joint military exercises and military provocation moves staged together with the South Korean authorities to invade the DPRK, and withdraw its forces and war equipment from South Korea promptly and unconditionally.
It also demanded the United States compensate for human and material damage done to the Korean people during the Korean war and apologize to them for reducing Korea to a heap of ashes.

Third-rate trick

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- These days the Japanese authorities argue that the outcries of some senior officials for overseas expansion and nuclear armament are merely "opinions of individuals" and that there is no change in Japan's three non-nuclear principles.
Rodong Sinmun today brands this as a third-rate trick to conceal Japan's dark intention.
    The news analyst says:
Japan is now stepping up overseas expansion and nuclear weaponization in real earnest. "Legislation for a crisis in near-by areas" and other laws for overseas aggression have been adopted and effectuated. The "Self-Defence Forces" have been reorganized for high maneuverability and efficiency.
Unprecedented military drills are staged overtly even in residential quarters.
What they have not done yet is to adopt "emergency legislation," establish a war-time system in Japan, revise the 9th article of the constitution, rename the "Self-Defence Forces" the "national army" and abandon the veil of "peaceful constitution." The new government authorities of Japan plan to finish those things.
They think Japan was defeated in the second world war because Japan had no nuclear weapons. The planned stockpile of 100 tons of nuclear material by 2010 is for nuclear armament.
"Three non-nuclear principles" are no more than nominal.
This shows nuclear armament is obviously the state policy of Japan.
The Japanese authorities must act with discretion, mindful of what consequences their overseas aggression and nuclear armament will bring about.

"Foal Eagle" war game assailed

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today comes out with a signed commentary on the "Foal Eagle" joint military exercises being staged by the U.S. and the South Korean warmongers in defiance of strong public condemnation at home and abroad.
    The news analyst says:
A few days ago, the U.S.-South Korea "combined forces command" announced that a joint landing drill would be staged on the east coast of Korea on November 1 under the simulated condition of attacks on rear areas of the DPRK.
Worse still, they unhesitatingly said that this landing drill is part of "operation plan 5027-98" for northward invasion.
The DPRK regards this as a flagrant violation of its sovereignty.
At last, the warmongers have gone the length of openly revealing their design for preemptive attack on the DPRK, throwing away the mask of "southward invasion." This is clear evidence that their moves to invade the DPRK have gone beyond the danger line.
The "Foal Eagle" involving armed forces huge enough to wage an overall war shows that they have begun moving to provoke the second Korean war.
The threats of the enemies will not frighten the Korean people. The more arrogantly they may act, the stronger the Korean people's will to annihilate the enemies will become.
They will not show any charity to provokers.
Foolish are the attempt of the U.S. and the South Korean warmongers to attain their design for aggression they could not in the '50s.
Those who want to invade the DPRK must know that the United States is not a safe place.

U.S. ambition for nuclear domination denounced

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, a U.S. group of civilian nuclear weapon experts disclosed that during the cold war, the United States had deployed a large number of nuclear weapons in 27 countries including South Korea and Japan.
Commenting on this, a news analyst of Minju Joson today says:
Though the Cold War era has come to an end, only the United States is still keeping nuclear weapons in many countries and regions of the world and, worse still, frantically staging nuclear war exercises.
This shows that the U.S. schemes to lord it over the world as it pleases.
The U.S. has stepped up preparations for a nuclear war under the pretext of "threats" from the DPRK, motivated by an ulterior intention to ignite a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula, expand it all over the world and thus attain its design to dominate the whole of the world.
If the U.S. finally unleashes a nuclear war against demands of the Korean people and the peaceloving people of the world, it will only precipitate its own ruin.

Anniversary of start of Algerian revolution marked

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson today dedicates an article to the 45th anniversary of the start of the Algerian revolution.
The paper says that the Algerian people's victory in the revolutionary struggle had a great effect on developing onto a new higher stage the anti-imperialist and anti-colonial national liberation struggle of the African people for freedom, independence and national dignity.
After the victory of revolution, the Algerian people worked hard to build the national industry and agriculture based on the domestic raw material resources and made enormous achievements despite difficult conditions under which they had to create something out of nothing, it notes, and goes on:
The Algerian government and people paid a deep attention to political stability of the country and achieved the national reconciliation and unity so as to decisively smash the imperialists' policy of national split and dissension.
The Korean people value the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Algeria forged in the struggle for anti-imperialism and independence and hope that these relations will be consolidated and developed to meet the common demands and interests of the two peoples.
They sincerely wish the Algerian people greater success in their future struggle to build a new society.

Negation of Tangun -- traitorous act

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the History Institute of the Academy of Social Sciences of the DPRK issued a statement on Saturday, denouncing some dishonest people of South Korea for negating the nation's father Tangun and destroying his statues.
Tangun is the ancestral father of the Korean nation and founder of the first state in Korea who began the formation of the nation and opened the era of civilization for the first time in the nation's history of five thousand years.
    The statement says:
The South Korean authorities, far from lending an ear to the demand of patriotic forces for investigation into the defamation of Tangun's statues and punishment of those responsible for it, are conniving at it and thus encouraging the anti-national act.
The blatant negation of Tangun in South Korea is not a mere religious dispute caused by different beliefs but a premeditated and deliberate act wire-pulled by the separatists who intend to create discord within the nation and undermine the foundation of national unity.
Negation of Tangun is an anti-national act that denies the nation's history and traditions and the homogeneity of blood, the foundation of overall national unity.
Through this racket, the South Korean authorities scheme to block the north's patriotic politics of national independence from affecting South Korea and put down the growing spirit of overall national unity by throwing a wet blanket over the South Korean people's admiration for the north, which is firmly defending the national identity and independence and building a powerful state.
In the name of all the historians and the fellow countrymen who love the nation and value the nation's history, we bitterly denounce the South Korean authorities for negating the ancestral father of the nation and trying to spoil the nation's history of five thousand years again.

Chairman Sok made a report on the first item.
He pointed to achievements in the work to firmly consolidate the International Kothongryon and help compatriots contribute to the accomplishment of the cause of national reunification during the period under review. CPRF on S. Korea's production of heavy weapons

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland issued a statement on Saturday over intensified production of heavy weapons in South Korea, backed by U.S. munitions industries.
    The statement says:
The South Korean authorities are lavishing excessive military spending on production of heavy weapons, while being saddled with a colossal amount of foreign debt caused by a catastrophic financial crisis. This is part of their preparations to unleash a second Korean war to execute the war strategy of U.S. imperialism.
The Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland denounces the arms buildup as an anti-national act that disturbs stability and peace on the Korean peninsula, increases military tensions, brings dark clouds of war and pours all material resources into reckless confrontation and war preparations against fellow countrymen.
We are also concerned about South Korean businessmen's involvement in the authorities' war policy and arms buildup, though they have to contribute to the uniform development of the nation.
We, who defend the nation's independence and socialism as life and soul, will never tolerate the arms buildup of U.S. imperialism and South Korean authorities that threatens the dignity and security of the DPRK but will counter it with strong self-defensive measures.

S. Korean authorities' anti-social policy disclosed

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland issued information bulletin no. 794 on October 30 exposing the anti-social policies of the present South Korean regime.
    The bulletin said:
According to South Korean press reports, the number of lunatics amounts to 1.1 million in South Korea and these lunatics cannot receive medical treatment because the authorities pay no concern to them.
Such abnormal situation in South Korea is wholly an inevitable product of the flunkeyist and traitorous anti-social policies of the South Korean authorities.
Most of the lunatics are victims of the neo-colonial enslavement policy enforced by the United States and other outsiders such as the trusteeship of the International Monetary Fund and the flunkeyist and treacherous moves of the South Korean rulers.
The lunatics are also victims of the harsh fascist rule by the authorities. Such an abnormal situation as the increase of lunatics is ascribable to the harsh predatory policy of the rulers and their corrupt politics.
Psychosis prevalent in South Korea is the result of the anti-social policies of the authorities, not a mere physiological phenomenon.
