Kim Jong Il visits farm
Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the Ryongjong branch of the Ryongyon county integrated farm in South Hwanghae Province on Sunday.
The farm had been visited by the President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il several times.
Kim Jong Il looked round the monuments dedicated to the President's on-site instructions and personal guidance. He said the county integrated farm became a large socialist farm good to live and work in under the wise leadership and meticulous care of the President and that the President's great exploits in the building of the countryside will remain in the hearts of the Korean people forever.
Looking at the rainbow trout ponds and newly-appearing large fish ponds, he expressed great satisfaction and highly praised the agricultural workers for striving to implement the party's policy of developing fish culture extensively.
Development of fish culture is an important work to enrich the meals of people, he said, urging all sectors and units to pay deep attention to this work.
It is good to breed tropical catfish and other fast-growing fishes in large numbers to make profit in fish culture, he noted, and called on all officials, party members and other working people to turn out to make great progress in fish culture and supply the people with plenty of delicious and nutritious fresh-water fishes.
He went round modern dwelling houses newly built on the branch farm.
He expressed great satisfaction with the splendid construction of cozy houses for farmers in a short span of time and highly appreciated the agricultural workers' successful efforts.
He noted that the village has turned into a socialist paradise in the true sense of the word. He called for building a people's paradise in this land at an early date through the successful fulfillment of the tasks set out by the President in "theses on the socialist rural question in our country."
He was accompanied by secretaries Kim Ki Nam and Kim Yong Sun and first vice department directors Ri Yong Chol, Pak Song Bong and Jang Song Thaek of the WPK Central Committee.

Korean reunification supported
Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The All Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks issued an appeal to communist parties, workers' parties, social democratic parties, socialist parties, national liberation movements, patriotic and anti-imperialist movements and progressive social and political figures of all countries on December 5 supporting the Korean people's cause of national reunification.
The principles of national reunification set forth by the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il make it possible to reunify the country by founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo under an agreement already reached between the north and south of Korea and by the way acceptable to both sides, the appeal said, and went on:
The U.S. policy towards Korea is aimed to aggravate military confrontation between the north and south of the Korean peninsula and its ulterior motive is to destroy the DPRK.
All the progressive and peace-loving forces of the world should positively cooperate in the efforts to achieve the peaceful reunification of the Korean nation and employ every possible means and method to remove many difficulties in the way of achieving Korean reunification.

Repatriation of unconverted long-term prisoners demanded
Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The central committee of the DPRK Red Cross Society recently urged the South Korean authorities to repatriate the unconverted long-term prisoners of the north origin to their hometowns before the end of this year.
The human rights organizations in the DPRK such as the Korean Committee of Measures for Rescuing Unconverted Long-Term Prisoners in South Korea and the Korean Association for Study of Human Rights issued statements demanding the repatriation of the unconverted long-term prisoners.
Over 300 unconverted long-term prisoners are still in South Korean prison for the mere reason that they refused to make an ideological conversion.
Although Kim In So, Ham Se Hwan and Kim Yong Thae were released in 1989 after spending scores of years in prison, they are still suffering physical pain due to mental oppression and various diseases.
Paragraph 51 of article 3 of the Korean Armistice Agreement stipulates that within sixty days after this agreement becomes effective each side shall directly repatriate all those prisoners of war in its custody who insist on repatriation to the side to which they belonged at the time of capture.
But the South Korean authorities still refuse to repatriate Kim In So, Ham Se Hwan and Kim Yong Thae to their hometowns in the north where kinsmen their are waiting for them.
This shows that all the successive South Korean rulers have neither elementary idea of humanitarianism and national conscience nor moral obligation.
It is the strong hope of the Korean people and the world people that the unconverted long-term prisoners will be able to spend the rest of their lives in happiness with blood relations in their hometowns.
They are eagerly waiting for them.
Doom of capitalism inevitable
Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The revolutionary people of the world should struggle under the uplifted banner of the anti-imperialist struggle, clearly mindful that the doom of capitalism is inevitable, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article.
The article goes on:
It is the inexorable law of historical development that capitalism is bound to go to ruin because it has turned so inhumane as days go by that it can never be tolerated by the independent awakened people.
The capitalist society is a reactionary one where the worth of a human being is decided by money and his desire for independence is wantonly trampled underfoot.
In the capitalist society people's material life becomes deformed and their mental and cultural lives get poor, while their political life becomes extremely reactionary.
It is an inexorable law that the capitalist society where man is controlled by money is bound to be overthrown by the independent awakened people. What is most important is to clearly see through the true nature of capitalism which is making desperate efforts bluffing with its ruin at hand.
The idea of the inevitable ruin of capitalism clarified by the President Kim Il Sung serves as a powerful weapon for the world revolutionary people in intensifying their anti-imperialist struggle for independence.

Wrangle over "amendment to security law"
Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Members of the "National Congress for New Politics" and the "United Liberal Democrats," the ruling parties in South Korea, at what they called "policy discussion" held in the "National Assembly" on Dec. 8 wrangled with each other over the "amendment to the security law" but failed to clinch it, said a radio report from Seoul.
President of the "United Liberal Democrats" Pak Thae Jun at a "party executive committee meeting" held that day asserted that it was difficult to amend the "law that deals with delicate cases" and "it should, therefore, be carefully handled."
The South Korean rulers are locked in a dispute designed not to carry out even a nominal "revision of the security law," lending a deaf ear to the public demand at home and abroad for its total repeal, not its "amendment."
