He said that April 15, the birthday of President Kim Il Sung, is the most auspicious holiday that brought the greatest fortune to the Korean nation and the world's revolutionary people, who yearned for human dignity and a true life, groaning under domination, subjugation and oppression for ages.
President Kim Il Sung was a prominent leader in the era of independence and remains the sun of revolution for he glorified the 20th century as a new one by bringing about a radical turn in hewing out the destiny of the Korean nation and humankind, he noted, adding: Kim Il Sung led the anti-imperialist national liberation struggle, anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution, the socialist revolution and socialist construction to victory in the van of the revolutionary struggle of the working class for a long period from the 1920s to the mid-1990s recorded with breath-taking events, thus performing outstanding exploits in the history of the struggle for human emancipation.
Pointing out that he fathered the immortal Juche idea for the first time in the history reflecting the demand of the times and the desire of humankind, thereby ushering in a new era of independence in which the popular masses independently shape their own destiny, the reporter said that the President founded the Worker's Party of Korea and strengthened and developed it as a powerful leading political organization, and his feats and experience gained in party construction clearly proved the universal truth of the revolution that people's struggle is sure to win despite any ups and downs, only when there is a powerful, veteran revolutionary party.
He said that the President founded true revolutionary armed forces capable of defending freedom and happiness of the people and this is a distinguished exploit he made by building up a reliable driving force for the accomplishment of the cause of Juche.
It is thanks to the powerful revolutionary armed forces built by the President that the WPK and the Korean people are successfully carrying out the socialist cause despite the desperate moves of the imperialist allied forces and reactionaries to isolate and stifle the DPRK, he stressed, and continued:
The President pursued benevolent politics, the politics of trust and love, on the basis of the philosophy of loving people to protect and take care of their destiny, and thus glorified the revolutionary struggle for independence as a true cause of love for human beings.
Indeed, he was the universally recognized veteran leader who led the socialist cause in all fields, including the building of the party, state and armed forces and social transformation, nature-harnessing and human transformation to victory and set a leading example in the revolution in our times, thus giving a strong impetus to the process of revolutionary transformation in the world.

Holding fast to the invariable revolutionary principle of doing everything the way the President did, he has brought about a historic turning-point in the revolutionary cause of Juche, the cause of independence of the popular masses, with his outstanding and seasoned leadership.
President's view on younger generation
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- "Let us train better and take warmer care of the younger generation for the future of the country, the future of humankind " this was the President Kim Il Sung's invariable view on the younger generation for over 80 years of his life.
He spared nothing for the children, considering the education of the younger generation as an important issue related to the future destiny of the revolution.
He built schools for the children's corps members in guerrilla bases during the arduous anti-Japanese armed struggle and took the measure of building nurseries, kindergartens and schools for the younger generation after the liberation of the country in August Juche 34 (1945).
When the first creche (March 8 Creche) was built in Pyongyang, the President spared time to visit it and instructed officials of the central committee of the Communist Party of North Korea to send a carpet from it to the creche for the children who started to walk.
Though there were a lot of urgent problems to be solved to build a new society, he placed the problem of pencil on top of the agenda of the provisional people's committee of North Korea and allocated 17 percent of the state budget for education including building and repair of schools in 1946 when the country's financial situation was difficult.
The President deemed it the greatest pride and happiness to love and take care of the younger generation.
He brought up a war orphan in the supreme command during the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953) and let the cabinet adopt a decision on setting up schools for children of the fallen fighters and war orphans.
In one year he sent priceless tonics to the weak pupils whom he met on his way for on-the-spot guidance.
On April 1, 1954, which marked a new school year, he visited Pyongyang primary school no. 19 (Songbuk primary school at present). Learning that its school building was not in good shape, he took a measure of letting its teaching staff use the building of the ministry of industry, which was near it, as their school building. He visited at least 100 primary and senior middle schools from the time of the liberation of the country to the last period of his life.
The children in the DPRK are treated as "king" of the country thanks to his noble view on the younger generation.
They are growing up to be reliable successors to the revolutionary cause of Juche, receiving free compulsory education.
History of nationalization of major industries
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A work for the nationalization of major industries was energetically pushed ahead with in Korea after the liberation of the country in August Juche 34 (1945).
The building of new democratic Korea could be sped up and an independent development of the national economy ensured only when the working class of Korea owned the key economic branches which had been held by the Japanese imperialists.
The Worker's Party of Korea defined in a unique manner objects, principle and method of the nationalization in conformity with the specific conditions at that time.
The principle was to confiscate without compensation all factories, mines, railways, communications, banks, trade and cultural establishments, etc., which had been in the hands of the Japanese imperialists and comprador capitalists.
The WPK saw to it that the nationalization did not sweep away the ownership of the national capitalists and minor entrepreneurs but their activities were encouraged.
It took a measure of investing workers' committees organized at factories and enterprises with power to confiscate what had been owned by the Japanese imperialists and comprador capitalists and taking it over before promulgating the law on the nationalization of the major industries to declare by law that the ownership and use of the confiscated major industrial facilities and economic establishments went into the hands of the working class and all other people.
The WPK put up the slogan "Factories to the workers" and roused them to the struggle for the nationalization of the major industries.
Along with this, it made sure that trade unions and factory committees were organized to awaken and unite the working class politically and organizationally. As a result, trade unions were organized in the railways, metal, machine-building and all other industries and the factory committees formed at every factory and enterprise in a matter of three months.
The workers brought under their control all the industrial establishments which had been owned by the Japanese imperialists, comprador capitalists, pro-Japanese and traitors to the nation while smashing the maneuvers of the reactionaries.
As a result, the provisional people's committee of North Korea promulgated the law on the nationalization of the major industries on August 10, 1946.
This marked a historical event which legally confirmed and consolidated the conversion of the ownership of all the major industries in Korea into all-people, state ownership.
