Japan's anti-DPRK charade
Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- The Japanese government reportedly decided to mention "missile threat from North Korea" in a special statement to be adopted at the Okinawa summit of major nations.
The Japanese authorities seek a despicable and wicked aim in floating again the fiction of "missile threat," a product of their hostile policy towards the DPRK, in a bid to build up public opinion through an international fora.
Japan is a thrice-cursed criminal state which imposed immeasurable disasters, misfortune and sufferings upon the Korean people while enforcing an unprecedented military rule during its occupation of Korea in the past.
Though more than half a century has passed since then, Japan has neither made any apology or compensation to the Korean people nor honestly reflected on its past crimes.
Japan, far from drawing a proper lesson from its history of bloody war, is stepping up arms buildup after throwing off the mask of "pacifist state" in a bid to realize its old dream of "Greater East Asia Coprosperity Sphere." It is also busy with the retrogressive revision of the constitution for its overseas aggression. Japan cites "missile threat from North Korea" as a justification for these moves.
The Japanese authorities' ulterior aim to bring "missile threat" from the DPRK to the Okinawa summit of major nations for discussion is to tarnish the international authority and image of the DPRK, mislead the world public opinion urging Japan to honestly reflect on its past crimes and justify its moves to become a military power.
This sinister and wicked intention of Japan is intolerable as it is an unbearable insult and mockery of the Korean people and the international community.
If Japan truly wishes to fulfil its obligation and responsibility as a member of the international community it should clearly redeem its crimes committed against the Korean people and humankind in the past, instead of trying to achieve its sinister aim by wooing others.
Japan is well-advised to face up to the trend of the times and drop its anachronistic anti-DPRK hostile policy.
