The 40-odd km-long modern motorway from the fork at Mangyongdae, Pyongyang, to the youth bridge at the entrance to Nampho, is a gift presented by members of the youth shock brigade and servicemen with loyalty to the 55th anniversary of the WPK.
This modern motorway is wide enough for several vehicles to run at a time. It has unique bridges and crossings. There appeared on its either side green belts and woodlands and houses for thousands of families.

WPK's line of attaching great importance to youth
Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- The line of attaching great importance to the youth is a unique idea set out by the Worker's Party of Korea for the first time in history, says Rodong Sinmun yesterday in an article. Noting that particular attention is paid to this line in the DPRK, the article says:
The WPK attaches weighty importance to the youth as an important line to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche.
The article goes on:
The great leader Kim Il Sung set forth this idea and the respected leader Kim Jong Il is developing the youth movement, true to his intention.
The slogan "Love the youth " represents the unshakable will of Kim Jong Il to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche, firmly believing in the youth and enhancing their role.
The validity and invincible vitality of the WPK's line of giving great importance to the youth were fully proved by the fact that the youth built 40 odd-km-long Youth Hero Motorway with empty hands during the "arduous march" and forced march, thus setting a good example of devotedly defending the party and the leader.
Referring to important tasks to implement this line in the DPRK, the article calls for exerting sustained great efforts for the education of the youth, giving prominence to the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and further strengthening it.
The youth league in the DPRK is the most dignified and militant one in the world as it bears the august name of Kim Il Sung and enjoys the absolute trust of Kim Jong Il.

KCNA refutes false reports of some west European media
Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- A television and newspaper of a west European country spread cock-and-bull stories that the DPRK is diverting international food aid to the army and some "privileged circles" and children are starving to death at "camps."
Timed to coincide with this, some west European countries are egging certain individual persons, who know nothing about the DPRK, on to urge international human rights organizations including amnesty international to "probe human rights situation in North Korea" in a bid to build up public opinion critical of it.
What can not be overlooked is that all those reports and what individual persons said are identical to the anti-DPRK false propaganda conducted by anti-DPRK hostile forces in the past and obviously, one prepared speech was read by them.
As already known, there has been strict transparency in the distribution of international food aid given to the DPRK by the international community since its start and this was objectively verified by several international and non-governmental organizations including the World Food Program active in the country.
This notwithstanding, media of some west European countries and some individual persons came out all of a sudden to raise a hue and cry over the non-existent "diversion of food aid" and "death of children" despite this stark reality.
This can not be construed otherwise than an affront to the international organizations and donor countries which have sincerely participated in the humanitarian aid to the DPRK.
What is more serious is that those individual persons, not content with the diatribe launched by them over "transparency in the use of aid," are slinging mud at the DPRK over "human rights issue" by citing false information provided by anti-DPRK hostile forces at a time when the normalization of relations between the DPRK and the west European countries is on the order of the day.
Undoubtedly, through this they seek a sinister political aim to disturb international humanitarian aid to the DPRK and drive a wedge in the normalization process between the DPRK and the west European countries.
Some media and anti-DPRK hostile forces of western Europe should drop the anachronistic way of thinking, face up to the realities and behave themselves.
