Imperialists' talk about peace under fire
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article says that the imperialists' sham "peace" offensive based on their world strategy constitutes a major factor of threatening the world people's cause of independence, progress and peace.
The imperialists are working hard to dominate other countries and nations, weaken and contain the independent forces of the world, while paying lip-service to "peace," the article says, and continues:
The world revolutionary people should clearly see through the danger lurking behind imperialists' noisy clamour about disarmament.
It is an unchangeable strategy of the U.S. conservative hardliners to dominate the world with strength in the 21st century, too.
The U.S. moves to establish its "National Missile Defense" system are aimed to monopolize nuclear weapons and missiles in a bid to contain other powers standing for the multi-polarization of the world and realize their strategy of world supremacy.
This means a declaration of an arms race and a missile race in the 21st century.
Japan is set to allot a huge amount of fund for the establishment of the "Theatre Missile Defense" system as requested by the U.S.
The world revolutionary people should be highly alert against the imperialists getting involved in disputes in various regions and countries and acting a "mediator" and guarantor in settling them.
While talking about "peaceful settlement" of disputes, the imperialists are, in fact, adding fuel to them.
What they really seek is not to find any solution to the disputes but to keep their source and exploit it for their political and military intervention in those countries in dispute.
It is necessary to guard against Japan, in particular, in its desperate efforts to intervene in world disputes under the cloak of "peacekeeping."
Noting that small nations, anti-imperialist independent countries, have become major targets of the imperialists' sham "peace" offensive, the article observes that the U.S. is busy preparing for a war of aggression in South Korea, though it is loudmouthed about "peace" and "detente" on the Korean peninsula.
