U.S. assailed for pulling up DPRK over "drug issue"
Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK in an answer given today to a question put by KCNA assailed the United States for recently pulling up the DPRK over the "drug issue."
He said:
As already reported, the U.S. State Department in an "annual report on drug control" released on March 1 asserted that "the DPRK seems to manufacture and smuggle drugs into other countries" and it will "keep tabs on" the DPRK despite the lack of clear evidence. This is a groundless charge and shameless provocation against the DPRK.
The use of drugs and dealing in them, to say nothing of their manufacture, which reduce people to mental cripples, are strictly banned by law under the man-centred socialist system in the DPRK where a sound way of life prevails.
Moreover, there is a strict order whereby even mental stimulants indispensable for the manufacture of medicines and scientific researches can be imported only by the permission of the state. The DPRK exchanges information with the international drug control council and cooperates well with it in this respect.
This time the U.S. faulted the DPRK on the basis of sheer speculation although it admitted that there is no evidence.
This is prompted by its sinister intention to cavil at the Korean-style socialist system whose vitality is growing stronger day by day and isolate and stifle the DPRK at any cost.
Shortly ago, it slandered the DPRK over "human rights abuse" and this time it fabricated the preposterous "drug issue" in a bid to tarnish the image of the DPRK and isolate it. However, no one will lend an ear to this.
The U.S. is well advised to clearly know that such a trite trick will only bring to light the futility of its hostile policy towards the DPRK.
Strong counter-action against Japan urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- The secretary-general of the Institute for National Studies of South Korea in a press interview urged the South Korean authorities to take a stronger counter-action against Japan, recalling they officially declared that they had nothing to settle with Japan as far as its past was concerned, Seoul-based CBS reported.
He accused the "government" of failing to take any counter-action against Japan though it arrogantly claims that Tok islet belongs to it, charging that the authorities are taking a humiliating and low-key posture in the relations with Japan.
He demanded the revision of the "Korea-Japan treaty" signed in 1965 as it is a treaty which was concluded without holding the Japanese imperialists responsible for their colonial rule over Korea and in which Japan's crime-woven history was overlooked to get a petty amount of money in economic aid.
Attempts to beautify Japan's history of aggression under fire
Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- The ultra right-wing reactionaries are becoming more undisguised in their moves to beautify the Japanese militarists' history of aggression, deliberately distorting stark historical facts.
In this regard Minju Joson today says in a signed commentary:
Norota, former director general of the Japanese Defense Agency, in a lecture let loose a spate of outbursts that "the war for greater East Asia put a definite end to the colonial rule in Asia." This goes to prove that he is distorting and denying the history purposefully.
His intention is to evade the responsibility for Japan's past criminal acts of aggression and illegal occupation and rule at any cost and revive Japanese militarism in a bid to realise its old dream of "Greater East Asia Coprosperity Sphere" come what may.
The Japanese reactionaries are keen to emerge as the "leader of Asia" as early as possible by launching overseas expansion.
Obsessed with this wild ambition, they reverse black and white and seem not to care about their fate.
This clearly shows what an extent the frantic moves of the Japanese reactionaries for militarist overseas expansion have reached.
This also proves that the Japanese political circle is becoming ultra rightist and reactionary.
This is evidenced by Norota's outbursts.

It is a man-centred theory of creation and change and a most revolutionary theory to transform nature and society by training them to be creative beings with primary consideration given to man.
The theory calls for carrying out creative activities with independent idea and consciousness, creating everything from an innovative viewpoint and bringing about radical changes in an audacious and bold manner.
