Intensified anti-U.S. resistance called for
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- The central committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) released a statement on Saturday as regards the lapse of 51 years since the U.S. imperialists provoked the Korean War of aggression, Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation reported.
The statement said the June 25 war unleashed by the U.S. imperialists was the most shameless and brigandish war of aggression and the most criminal and barbarous war in the world history of war.
Instead of drawing a due lesson from it and withdrawing its aggression forces from South Korea, the United States has committed shocking criminal atrocities against the Korean people, the statement recalled, and said:
The U.S. should properly understand the steadfast anti-U.S. will of the Korean people and immediately withdraw its troops from South Korea since there is no ground for their presence.
With the U.S. imperialist aggression forces left intact in this land, is it impossible to expect sovereignty, the life and soul of our people, democracy and civil rights, the elementary human rights, and the national reunification, their cherished desire.
The people from all walks of life should intensify the anti-U.S. resistance across South Korea to drive out the U.S. aggression forces, a root cause of all evils.
KCNA on Japan's attitude toward settlement of past
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- The German government has reportedly begun to pay compensation to those who were forced to do slave labour by Nazism during world war II. The payment was approved after groups of victims of Nazism filed suits in U.S. federal district courts against forced labour.
The government and business of Germany alloted over 10 billion mark for such payment.
This positive development shows the determination of the German government to urgently settle the compensation issue on the principles of international law and humanitarianism.
But, Japan's attitude is quite different from Germany's though similar lawsuits were brought to U.S. federal district courts by former "comfort women for the imperial Japanese army."
The Japanese authorities have lavished money and raised unreasonable conditions one after another to turn down those lawsuits, taking the public by surprise. They are lost to shame.
The crime related to the issue of "comfort women for the Japanese army" is so shameless and hideous crime against humanity that it is hardly comparable to the forced labour.
Before their defeat in the war, the Japanese imperialists killed or buried alive most of more than 200,000 Asian women, mainly Koreans, who were forced into sexual slavery, to destroy evidence proving their crimes.
Such disgraceful history of shocking atrocities can neither be erased nor denied.
However, the Japanese authorities are seeking to hush up this case.
The facts prove that Japan is a morally vulgar and shameless, abnormal country, which can never be recognized by the international community.
Japan can become a member of the international community only when it makes full compensation for forcing over six million young and middle aged Koreans to do mediaeval slave labour, as well as for the crime related to the "comfort women for the Japanese army" on the principle of international law.
KPA soldiers condemn U.S. aggressors
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) --Yyoung soldiers of the Korean people's army held an oratorical contest in chestnut valley, Wonam-ri of Sinchon county, South Hwanghae Province, on Sunday on the occasion of the "June 25, the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists".
The participants in the contest denounced the U.S. imperialist aggressors for provoking the Korean war on June 25, 1950 and brutally murdering innocent people by the most barbarous methods.
Though nearly 50 years have passed since the ceasefire, the aggressive and predatory nature of the U.S. imperialists remains unchanged, they noted, adding that they were making desperate efforts to stifle the Korean socialist system by pursuing a "hardline policy".
The Korean People's Army, fully ready to go into action under the distinguished army-first leadership of its supreme commander Kim Jong Il, will hold more tightly rifles in hands to fight decisive battles to wipe out the enemy, the U.S. imperialists, they stressed.
Anti-U.S. education in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Anti-U.S. education through evidence showing GIs' atrocities is being intensified in the DPRK.
The U.S. imperialists are the sworn enemy of the Korean people. Their aggressive and bestial nature will never change. Down with the U.S. imperialist aggressors, the sworn enemy of the Korean people these are the main content of the class education intensified among the working people and school youth and children in the country.
Visits to the Sinchon Museum, the spy ship "Pueblo," the victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and other halls for class education have become more brisk on the occasion of "June 25, the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists."
The Sinchon Museum bears witness to GIs' shocking mass killings of civilians.
Displayed there are materials and other evidence showing the invasion of Korea by the U.S. imperialists from more than a hundred years ago and mass killings committed by GIs during their temporary occupation of Sinchon during the last Korean War. A lot of weapons used by them in killing civilians are also on display there. They killed more than 35,000 peaceable inhabitants including children, women and the aged in Sinchon county or a quarter of its population during 50-odd days of their occupation.
Halls for class education in different parts of the country help people know well about the crimes committed by the U.S. imperialists in Korea.
The U.S. imperialists' armed spy ship "Pueblo" which was captured in January Juche 57 (1968) while committing espionage in the territorial waters of the DPRK is being used as a centre for anti-U.S. education.
Visits to the victorious Fatherland Liberation War museum and a fine art exhibition also help people know well about the brutal, crafty and ferocious nature of the U.S. imperialists.
Meetings held to hear eyewitnesses' accounts of GIs' atrocities convince people that the U.S. imperialists are the sworn enemy of the Korean people.
All the Koreans are strongly denouncing the U.S. imperialists as provokers of the Korean War, the root cause of national division, harasser of peace and the sworn enemy.

Rodong Sinmun calls for decisively shattering U.S. moves for new war
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun carries an editorial today, 51 years since the U.S. imperialists ignited a war of aggression against the DPRK.
The Korean War unleashed by them was the most shameless and brigandish war of aggression to make the whole of Korea a colony and, furthermore, dominate Asia and the rest of the world and a barbaric war unprecedented in the history of war, the editorial says, and goes on:
The Korean peninsula is still in the unstable state of ceasefire owing to the U.S. imperialists.
Their moves for confrontation with the DPRK and a new war are becoming all the more undisguised and desperate after the emergence of the Bush administration.
In order to shatter these moves, it is necessary to uphold leader Kim Jong Il's army-first leadership, army-first politics, with loyalty.
This leadership and politics of the Workers' Party of Korea provides a sure guarantee for protecting the dignity, sovereignty and peace of the country and the nation from the U.S. imperialists' aggression.
Singlehearted unity is the source of strength to frustrate these moves.
The harder they work for such moves, the more firmly all the party members and other working people should unite around Kim Jong Il. They should heighten vigilance against the U.S. imperialists' moves for aggression. They should always keep themselves in an alerted and mobilized posture, aware that the U.S. imperialists may ignite a war against the DPRK any moment.
If they provoke another Korean war, all the party members and other working people will fight like a-match-for-a-hundred fighters to mercilessly wipe out the aggressors and achieve the national reunification, their historic desire.
The editorial underscored the need to expose and denounce all the treacherous forces of the nation standing in the way of implementing the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and deal a telling blow to them by the concerted efforts of the pro-reunification patriotic forces.
The U.S. should honestly fulfil its commitments and duties, make a radical switchover in its anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK and withdraw its troops from South Korea without delay, the editorial concludes.
