Rodong Sinmun on Japan's stand towards U.S. MD
Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The Japanese foreign minister recently said that Japan understands the necessity of the U.S. missile defense program and there is no change in the stand of the Japanese government towards it.
In this regard Rodong Sinmun today carries a signed commentary, which says:
It is unpardonable that Japan expressed "understanding" toward the U.S. MD program which is being pushed forward under the unreasonable pretext of "missile threat" from the DPRK.
Japan is chiming in with the U.S. MD program out of the deep-rooted hostility towards the DPRK.
It is an unchangeable intention of the Japanese reactionaries to isolate and stifle the DPRK in collaboration with the United States. Japan's joining the United States in taking issue with the DPRK is an expression of the open U.S.-toeing policy and an extension of the hostile policy towards the DPRK.
The Japanese authorities should know that it will favour Japan to live with its own view.
If the Japanese authorities do not give up their habitual U.S.-toeing stance, it will wreak havoc with Japan.
Japan's ambition to isolate and stifle the DPRK is an infeasible illusion. Japan cannot approach the fast changing political situation with its own view unless it gets rid of the U.S.-toeing stance.
What does U.S. missile aim at?
Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The United States is trying to build an interceptor missile base what it calls an experimental base in Alaska state.
Commenting on this, Minju Joson today says:
With a view to trying to justify its unreasonable act, the U.S. is now spreading the fiction of "missile threat" from what it calls "rogue states" including the DPRK. Its assertion is a sophism designed to cover up its criminal purpose.
The U.S. is the only one country that has the largest number of nuclear arms and missiles in the world.
The missiles the U.S. is trying to intercept are not ours but the missiles from other big countries that may attain superiority over its strategic arms. It is trying to set up state-of-the-art missile defense so as to disable strategic offensive weapons of those countries. It is the U.S. ulterior intention to contain all elements lying in the way of its efforts to carry out a strategy for world supremacy and use nuclear arms and missiles unchallenged as it pleases.
Now that the U.S. tries to attain a sinister political, military strategic purpose against the DPRK through the medium of missiles, the DPRK is compelled to counter its moves with sharpened vigilance.
The U.S. has no reason and right to slander the self-defensive countermeasure of the DPRK.

U.S. is stumbling block in way of Korea's reunification
Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The United States is throwing a wet blanket over the Korean nation's efforts to reunify the country independently under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and persistently obstructing the reunification, while resorting to the anachronistic hard line policy of confrontation.
The U.S. administration is keen to establish the missile defense system targeted against the Korean peninsula and the DPRK, clamoring about theory of non-existent "threat from the north."
Working hard to make the Korean peninsula an ignition point for a world nuclear war, the U.S. is trying to deploy, first of all, two aegis equipped with 30 latest interceptor missiles in the East Sea of Korea within one year to one year and a half to come.
It is going to draw South Korea into its moves to establish the Missile Defense system. After designating the DPRK as the "enemy no. 1" the U.S. is running wild to achieve its aim of aggression at any cost while pulling up the DPRK over the "issue of conventional weapons."
The U.S. is revealing its true color as the obstructer of independent reunification of Korea and a cancer-like entity in the way of reunification by further intensifying war maneuvers against the DPRK.
It is allocating 14 billion dollars every year for the upkeep of its troops in South Korea for war.
The U.S. bellicose elements' criminal hostile policy toward the DPRK and war maneuvers are no more than a foolish attempt to stem the trend of history.

NDFSK will emerge victorious
pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Papers here today dedicate articles to the 32nd anniversary of the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK), a patriotic vanguard representing the desire and will of the South Korean people.
The revolutionary party for reunification, the predecessor of the NDFSK, was founded on August 25, Juche 58 (1969).
The South Korean revolutionists renamed the RPR the NDFSK on July 27, Juche 74 (1985) and put forward a new fighting program and goal to meet the demands of a new situation in which independence of the society is set afore and anti-American spirit of the people became the irresistible trend in South Korea in the wake of the Kwangju Popular Uprising in may 1980 and the development of the party.
Rodong Sinmun in a signed article says:
With the emergence of the NDFSK the South Korean people came to have a genuine representative and reliable political organisation that fights for their desire and demand for independence and the social revolutionary movement in South Korea was able to enter a new higher stage of its development under the banner of Juche.
The NDFSK has creditably performed its mission it assumes on behalf of the times and history. For this, it enjoys undisputed confidence and support of broad segments of people. it is fully backed by political parties, organisations and peoples of many countries around the world as well.
Minju Joson says more than three decades of the NDFSK were years in which it has grown to be invincible and it brought new historic changes to the movement for independence, democracy and reunification in South Korea.
