KCNA comments on "human rights" pressure
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- The so-called North Korean Human Rights Committee was reportedly inaugurated and started official activity in the United States.
We cannot but pay attention to the fact that the United States organized the plot-breeding "North Korean Human Rights Committee," seriously distorting the human rights situation in our country.
The target and content of its activity clearly show that it ensures no objectivity and fairness as a human rights organization but rather presented itself as a tool of the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK.
The organization made public an "inaugural declaration" aiming at "improvement of the North Korean human rights situation" and "opening" and raised a hue and cry as if there were the "human rights problem" in North Korea. This is a product of a premeditated plot to tarnish the internal and external prestige of the DPRK.
Never should it go unnoticed why the U.S. needed to inaugurate such a "human rights" organization whose headquarters is in Washington and which is executing its political instructions, not content with its annual "smear report on human rights."
This proves that the U.S. is seeking to intensify its hostile policy toward the DPRK while clamouring for dialogue with it.
The U.S., known to the world as a theatre of rowdyism for human rights abuse, should investigate its human rights situation and open it to the world public before inaugurating such a human rights committee.
It is a political caricature that the U.S. is taking issue with the human rights situation in other countries while suffering a loss of human lives from surprise attacks by its hand-raised terrorists all over the world, trembling with uneasiness and horror in the crucible of lawlessness and committing crimes of killing in cold blood a large number of civilians in Afghanistan.
It is no more than a foolish attempt for the U.S. to disparage our social system under which all the rights of humankind are ensured most truly and independence of the popular masses has been completely embodied on the highest level.
The U.S. should refrain from folly, mindful that its "human rights" pressure does not go down with our people.
Improved Japan-DPRK relations called for
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Nagoya on October 22 to hear a report on the DPRK visit of the Aichi prefecture, Japan, fact-finding group to probe the truth about walking away Koreans.
At the meeting Hiroshi Takeuchi, former mayor of Handa, Japan, and members of the fact-finding group, by using slides and video tapes, recalled that it met with former "comfort women for the army" and draftees during its visit to the DPRK to probe the truth about them and called for positive efforts to improve the Japan-DPRK relations based on Japan's redress for its past crimes.
U.S. should stand trial for abusing religion
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today in a singed commentary denounces the U.S. for slinging mud at the DPRK and some other countries in its recent "annual report on international religious freedom," saying they are contrary to its "law on religious freedom."
This is as impudent and ridiculous as a thief crying "stop the thief," the commentary says, and goes on:
The U.S. is not in a position to admonish other countries in terms of religion.
Years ago, the U.S. police fired at a residential quarter of members of a religious clan in Philadelphia and set their houses on fire and burnt 11 women and children for the reason that they asserted according to their religious belief the American civilization destroys the spiritual basis of human being.
Right after the shocking attacks on the U.S. on September 11, the U.S. right-wing reactionary forces lost no time in attacking and destroying the houses, villages and establishments of Muslims in the U.S.
Worse still, the U.S. is killing many innocent Muslims in Afghanistan with missile strikes and air raids.
It was recorded in history that the U.S. imperialist aggressors destroyed churches and all other religious facilities and brutally murdered numerous believers during the last Korean War.
As the U.S. army, police and CIA campaign against Muslims is beset with crisis, the U.S. is pulling up the DPRK and other countries over the issue of religion so as to get rid of world-wide precautions against it. However, nobody believes it.
It is the U.S. who should stand trial for abusing religion.
The freedom of religion and belief is fully guaranteed by law and many religionists are free to conduct their activities in Korea.
No matter what others may say, we will consolidate and develop the people-centered socialism of Korean style.
New haemostatic developed
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Alusil haemostatic pulverisi was recently developed by the institute of pharmacy of the DPRK Academy of medical science.
This traditional mineral haemostatic is made of natural sret. It is characteristic of fast medical efficacy and low production cost.
When its powder is sprayed on a wound, bleeding will stop and bacteria and toxin in the inflamed region will be neutralized to promote recovery.
It is also good for suppurative skin trouble of children.
Alusil haemostatic pulverisi is also efficacious for the treatment of stomach bleeding. Taking two or three grams of it twice a day is enough to stop bleeding.
It protects mucosa of the stomach from a trouble to be caused by irritative substance.
Before developing it researchers scientifically confirmed that microelements such calcium contained in natural sret exert strong influence on platelet coagulant and sret is strong in its adsorbing function for its porous molecular structure.
Inter-Korean unity called for
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article says that only when the Koreans in the north and the south pool their efforts can they display their invincible might to smash any moves of foreign forces and traitors to the nation and achieve national reunification independently.
The might of national independence overpowers the outsiders and traitors, the article says, and goes on:
No force on earth can match the concerted efforts of the Korean nation.
All Koreans should hold fast to the consciousness of national independence to win in fight against the outside forces and the traitors.
Only by holding fast to the consciousness of national independence can the Koreans fight to smash the anti-reunification moves of the outsiders and the traitors and unite as one under the banner of national independence.
The north and south of Korea should take national independence and unity as the principle of settling the issue of reunification and observe it.
The Koreans should not pardon the outside forces of aggression for their frantic moves to keep the Korean nation divided into two, lay obstacles in the way of reunification and inflict nuclear holocaust upon the fellow countrymen.
The right-wing conservatives in South Korea are laying obstacles in the way of reunification by resorting to the moves for confrontation with the DPRK, while regarding the fellow countrymen as "principal enemies" and hanging upon the sleeves of the outside forces encroaching upon the national dignity and sovereignty.
Anyone who wants national reconciliation, unity and reunification should turn out in the struggle against the right-wing conservative forces that are running amuck in the anti-reunification moves in league with the outside forces.
