Rodong Sinmun on revolutionary stand of Korean people

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- To maintain a transparent revolutionary stand toward the imperialists' war of aggression is an urgent requirement of the prevailing situation and provides a sure guarantee for upholding the army-based policy of leader Kim Jong Il with loyalty. Rodong Sinmun today stresses this in a bylined article.
    The article goes on:
A revolutionary war for a war of aggression and fire for fire. This is at the core of the Juche-based outlook of the Workers' Party of Korea on war.
The transparent revolutionary stand of the army and people of Korea on the imperialists' war of aggression has proved firm in the crucible of the two hard-fought anti-imperialist wars and a fierce confrontation with the outrageous U.S. imperialists that has lasted for nearly half a century. It serves as the spirit of socialist Korea that no force on earth can quell and a source of mental power with which to emerge ever-victorious in any showdown with enemy.
This revolutionary stand finds an expression in their full preparedness to mercilessly defeat those who dare encroach upon the dignity and sovereignty of the Korean nation.
The revolutionary stand of the Korean people on war represents a faith that the Korean army and people who have Kim Jong Il as the supreme commander are sure to win.
His Juche-based military idea and theories centered upon the servicepersons, outstanding leadership ability to encourage tens of millions of people to turn out as one in a struggle to defeat the enemy, the revolutionary faith and indomitable will unshakable in any adversity, the firm resolution and stratagem to turn any unfavorable tide of war in his favor in a moment and warm love for the soldiers and people are the most striking example of the personality and quality of the famous generals of the era.
The revolutionary stand of the Korean people also finds expression in their firm will to remain true to his army-based policy anywhere and any time.
The army-based policy is an all-powerful treasured sword and the most powerful socialist political mode of the era with which to contain the imperialists politically, ideologically and militarily and push ahead with the cause of socialism triumphantly.
The politico-ideological and military might is put on the highest level under his army-based revolutionary leadership.
Final victory always belongs to the army and people of the DPRK.

Joint military manoeuvres criticised

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) Friday issued a statement critical of the ongoing large-scale military manoeuvres of the U.S. and the South Korean bellicose elements in South Korea, Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation said. The statement describes the current maneuvers as a preliminary nuclear war surpassing by far the "team spirit" joint military manoeuvres in scale, content and nature and offensive drills for aggression being staged under the simulated conditions of a total war to invade the northern half of Korea by a preemptive nuclear strike.
It bitterly denounces the manoeuvres as a prelude to a barbaric war of aggression to impose a holocaust of a nuclear war upon the Korean people and an unpardonable crime that poses a grave threat to global peace and security.
    It goes on:
It is quite clear that if a war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula it will lead to the extermination of the nation.
At the crossroads of peace or war the patriotic-minded people from all walks of life should turn out in a nationwide anti-American, anti-war struggle under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration.

Books on dances published

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The Publishing House of Literature and Art has published many books telling about the immortal leadership exploits the Workers' Party of Korea performed in the field of the Juche-oriented dancing art. Among them are books dealing with over 70 dance pieces including a full score of four masterpiece dances "Azalea in the Homeland," a full score of a music and dance epic "Song of Glory," a full score of dances "Twilight over Kangson," "enjoying the first full moon," "Fan Dance" and "Dancing with Janggo" and "a Shepherd and a Girl."
They contain choreographic notations of Korean style which help successfully preserve and reproduce dance pieces not only at present but in the distant future.
Leader Kim Jong Il gave an instruction on creating choreographic notations of Korean style and energetically led the work to establish scientific popular Juche-oriented principles of choreographic notation for the first time in history.
Music, costumes and stage property necessary for the depiction of a dance are marked in detail in the books.
The book "Principles of Choreographic Notation" scientifically explains principles of making choreographic notations of Korean style and methods of using them and is written in such a way as to make its readers easy to understand all matters arising in dancing.
Yhe publishing house also brought out such books as "Rhythms of Dances Performed During anti-Japanese Revolutionary War" which carries explanations and deals with rhythms of the dances created and directed by President Kim Il Sung in the days of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
And the full scores of revolutionary operas "Sea of Blood," "the Flower Girl," "a True Daughter of the Party," "Tell the Story, Forest" and the full score of the national drama "Tale of Chunhyang" deal in a peculiar way with all elements of the dance pieces including scores of music, dances, stage decor, costumes and stage property, photos of scenes and dialogues.

More rallies held to denounce joint military exercises

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- More rallies were held in different parts of the country to denounce the U.S. imperialists and the South Korean war hawks for staging large joint military exercises. Speakers at the rallies held at the February 8 Vinalon Complex, the Kaesong Koryo Insam Liquor Factory, Kim Chaek University of Technology and Kanggye Teachers Training College No. 2 charged that the frantic large military exercises now being staged by the U.S. imperialists and the South Korean war hawks are unpardonable moves to bring again clouds of war to the Korean people.
Saying that owing to the U.S. imperialist aggressors' frantic war moves to invade the DPRK the situation in Korea is inching close to the brink of war, they held that it is hard to predict when the war exercises will develop into an all-out war to invade it.
It is the firm stand of the people's army and people of Korea to wipe out the aggressors mercilessly, they noted, adding that once the working class and youth and students are given an order, they will take arms in their hands and dedicate their youth and lives to the fight for the party, the leader, the homeland and the people.

Greetings to CPI Congress

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea today sent a message of greetings to the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of India (CPI). The message recalled that the CPI has made positive efforts to defend the independent development of the country and vital rights of the working masses and strengthen unity among the world progressive forces and hoped that the congress would mark a historic event of significance in further strengthening the party.
Expressing belief that the traditional friendly relations between the two parties would grow stronger in the future, the message sincerely wished the party congress great success in its work.

Joint war exercises condemned

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- Papers here today describe the war exercises under way in South Korea according to the U.S. imperialists' war scenario to invade the northern half of Korea as a product of the policy of aggression against the DPRK pursued by the bush group to stifle it and realise its strategy for world supremacy. Rodong Sinmun news analyst says:
The ongoing joint war exercises are based on the geo-political vantage of the Korean Peninsula and the deep-rooted hostility toward the DPRK of the Bush group which is justifying war under the pretext of combating terrorism in the wake of the "September 11 Incident." They are frantic war gambles to invade the northern half of Korea camouflaged as military manoeuvres.
It is clear to everyone that outsiders try to provoke a war against the people in the northern half of Korea and impose a nuclear holocaust upon the Korean nation.
Following the war moves of outsiders, far from standing on the side of the fellow countrymen, is the grisliest treachery that can be committed only by those who ceased to remain Koreans.
The South Korean warmongers join in the manoeuvres against the fellow countrymen aspiring after peace and reunification of the country. This betrays their criminal intention to prolong their remaining days with the backing of outsiders in return for their anti-reunification treacheries.
    They are seriously mistaken.
The Korean people hardly repress their surging indignation at the U.S. imperialists and the South Korean bellicose elements. If the aggressors dare unleash a nuclear war in this land, outsiders and those who follow them will have to pay a deserved price for their treacheries.
Minju Joson in a by-lined commentary says that the Korean people in the northern half of Korea will never allow the Yankees and the South Korean bellicose elements to stifle the DPRK and socialist system, but wipe them out.
