Rodong Sinmun on remarks of U.S. high-ranking official

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- A high-ranking official of the U.S. state department said at a press conference in Washington a few days ago that North Korea's "export of missiles" would be checked by force of arms and "North Korea showed no response in offering of information, transport of aid materials and medical assistance" when the international alliance against terrorism was forming after the terror attacks in the united states. Rodong Sinmun today says his remarks are not his own view but represent the stand of the present U.S. administration.
    The news analyst goes on:
"North Korea's nuclear and missile threat" clamoured by the United States is no more than a sophism to find a pretext of a nuclear forestalling attack and armed invasion of the DPRK at any cost.
It is the United States that has the largest number of nuclear weapons and missiles and that is carrying and deploying the largest number of them in different parts of the world through sea and air.
U.S. President Bush himself said that he was astonished to know that there are over 20,000 nuclear warheads in the United States.
Bush singled out the DPRK as part of an "axis of evil" in January and the U.S. declared it along with other countries to be targets for use of nuclear weapons. This is the revelation of the intention to turn a war of aggression on the DPRK into a nuclear war.
The facts make us doubt whether the U.S. proposal for resumption of dialogue with the DPRK is a trick to get rid of the plight of being isolated within and without due to his aggressive nuclear war policy.
The DPRK does not want improvement of relations with the United States while conceding its principle.
The people's army and people of Korea are enraged by the U.S. double-dealing policy and are ready to counter a war any moment.
