S. Korean "defence ministry" urged to renounce "principal enemy" conception
Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The young fellows for the era of reunification, a youth organization in south Korea, made public a statement on May 21 in demand of the repeal of the "principal enemy" conception.
The "principal enemy" conception is anti-national as it is aimed to sacrifice the nation's interests and obstruct the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, the statement pointed out, urging the "ministry" to write off it without fail.
The statement held that the principal enemy of the Korean nation's reunification is none other than the United States which still interferes in South Korea's affairs by force and the logic of strength while engaging itself in smear campaigns.
The "government" should drop its conception and attitude of depending on outside forces as soon as possible and turn to cooperation with the fellow countrymen, it urged, adding:
The "defence ministry" should stop hindering the reconciliation and unity of the nation with such "principal enemy" conception and immediately opt for implementing the June 15 joint declaration.
