Macarthur's crimes under fire
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The call of the South Korean people from all walks of life for the removal of the statue of Macarthur in Inchon is an eruption of the towering resentment of the nation against the U.S. imperialist aggressors and a reflection of their fixed will not to allow the aggressors and murderers to stay in South Korea.
Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed commentary.
It goes on:
The crime-woven history of Macarthur, who won an ill-fame as the chieftain of aggression and warmonger, is an epitome of the blood-stained history of the U.S. imperialists recorded with aggression, mass killings and plunder of Koreans.
It was Macarthur who saved the Japanese emperor, the second world war criminal, and overlooked the Japanese imperialists' looting of historical and cultural relics of Korea and opposed their return.
He orchestrated the U.S. plan to start the Korean War and commanded this war of aggression before and after its start holding the posts of the commander of the U.S. forces in the far east and the commander of the "UN Forces".
He was the top-class war criminal, who advocated the use of A-bombs in Korea in a bid to save himself from his military incompetence and setbacks in the Korean War. Nevertheless, he was painted as a "savior of Koreans" and his statue was erected in South Korea. This is bitter disgrace and tragedy of the nation.

KCNA on Bush's war logic
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The U.S. department of defense is planning to integrate the space command and the strategic command into a new command, according to the New York Times.
In this connection, Xinhua News reported that the projected command will coordinate and command the U.S. missile warning network, the national Missile Defence System (MD) now in the making and capabilities to plan and mount attacks on nuclear and conventional weapons.
The U.S. Defense Department's plan poses a serious threat to world peace and security as it is a move of the U.S. hawkish forces to push increased spurs to the establishment of the MD and put the strategy of "preemptive attack" into practice.
Meanwhile, U.S. secretary of defence Rumsfeld in an interview with the Washington Times on July 2 said that the U.S. Defense Department will not deliberately set a "date for the deployment of the Missile Defense System" and that all the U.S. plans for the MD are at the stage of research and test designing.
The assertion made by Rumsfeld pulling up someone over his increased "missile threat" to the united states is no more than a crafty scheme to justify the reckless war policy of the U.S. hawkish forces.
The U.S. is advocating a new world strategy in a bid to put the world under its control, styling itself the "only super power" at the end of the Cold War.
The keynote of the U.S. strategy is a "preemptive attack" as it is aimed to neutralize other nuclear and missile powers through the MD, ensure sustained development and production of strategic and tactical nuclear weapons and deploy and use them in actual wars.
The present U.S. administration's self-opinionated war logic so-called Bush's war logic has already been put into practice. This is fully revealed in Bush's remarks about the "axis of evil" and his undisguised order to overthrow the legitimate regime in Iraq.
This is more clearly evidenced by the integration of the space command and the strategic command projected by the U.S. Defense Department.
If the international community allows the reckless war moves of the U.S. warmongers not only peace and stability of humankind but the long-standing human civilization will suffer a total destruction in the worldwide thermonuclear war in the 21st century.

They criticized the management sides for their insincere behavior though the Kangnam Virgin Mary Hospital, Pusan heavy industrial and Inchon taxi drivers unions have been on strikes for over 40 days.
They urged the management sides to sincerely respond to the negotiations with trade unions calling for the guarantee of vital rights, expressing their resolution to struggle against the evermore undisguised suppression by the police.
GIS' crimes against humanity in Korean War under fire
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today carries a signed article condemning the monstrous crimes against humanity the U.S. imperialists committed by massacring innocent civilians by most brutal methods in the last Korean War.
From the summer of 1950 to the next summer GIS mercilessly killed more than one million civilians in South Korea, whose number was much bigger than those killed in the whole period of a war. The number of civilians killed by them during the Korean war reached millions.
In just 50 days of their stationing in Sinchon county after the Korean People's Army made a temporary strategic retreat GIS massacred more than 35,380 civilians or a quarter of its population.
The thrice-cursed crimes against humanity were perpetrated by the U.S. imperialist aggressors in the Korean War in wanton violation of international wartime laws and rules including the 1949 Geneva convention on wartime protection of civilians.
They killed Koreans in cold blood wherever they went in Korea, the article says, and goes on:
They even used germ weapons and chemical weapons to kill Koreans in violation of human morality and international conventions. they went the length of killing POWs of our side indiscriminately in gross breach of international laws and rules on POWs.
The U.S. imperialists are still watching for a chance to ignite a war against the DPRK, the article says, warning that if they finally start a war of aggression, the army and people of the DPRK will deal deadly retaliatory blows at them to wipe them out on this land to the last man and make them pay a thousand-fold price for the blood shed by Koreans.
