Dismantling of security tools urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- South Korean organizations reportedly made public statements on Sept. 3, condemning the crackdown on the South Korean Council of Youth Organizations (Hanchong). The south headquarters of the national alliance of youth and students for the country's reunification described the south Korean security authorities' suppression of young people participating in the reunification movement as a despicable trick to stifle the youth movement and an anti-reunification act against the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.
The south headquarters of the national alliance for the country's reunification said the arrest of the chairman and other leading members of Hanchong was a plot to brand it as an "enemy-benefiting organization."
We, it said, will not remain passive onlookers to the authorities' anti-reunification moves. It urged the anti-reunification forces to promptly stop all acts threatening the spirit of national reconciliation and unity based on the joint declaration.
The people's solidarity for the abolition of the security law demanded an immediate dismantling of the intelligence service and other security tools going against the era of reunification.

Present on invitation were diplomatic envoys of different countries and embassy officials here and foreign guests.
The gala began with "Song of Proclamation of the People's Republic".

Bolton's outbursts under fire

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- Bolton, U.S. undersecretary of state in charge of disarmament and security, groundlessly charged the DPRK with "possession of biological weapons" and "a missile smuggling" during his recent junket to south Korea. Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary dismisses this as a sheer lie and the height of baseness and shamelessness.
Bolton's sinister intention was to accuse the DPRK of being a "factor of causing U.S. security concern" in a bid to justify the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and disarm it, the commentary notes, and goes on:
By misleading the public opinion through false propaganda he seeks to brand the DPRK as a "criminal" and impose "nuclear inspection" upon it in an attempt to obtain its military secrets and carry out the U.S. policy to stifle the DPRK with ease. This is nothing but a silly dream.
Bolton is getting overheated in the smear campaign and the moves to stifle the DPRK as the worst type of the U.S. hawkish hardliner.
But his demeanor only damages his image as a senior diplomat of the U.S.
If there is any issue in the DPRK that may cause any security concern of the U.S., this is entirely due to its administration's hostile policy toward the DPRK.
Hence, the DPRK has clarified more than once that it is ready to respond to the dialogue aimed to clear the U.S. of its worries over security if its administration is willing to abandon its hostile policy toward it.
The DPRK's principled stand on the DPRK-U.S. dialogue remains unchanged. The ball is in the court of the U.S. Bolton is well advised to behave himself, if he is interested in the DPRK-U.S. dialogue.

Reception given to mark 54th birthday of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- The DPRK government hosted a reception at the People's Palace of Culture on Monday evening to celebrate the 54th birthday of the DPRK. Present there were senior officials of the party, the state and the army, chairmen of friendly parties and leading officials of party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions.
Also on hand were the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan and the congratulatory group of the General Association of Koreans in China to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the DPRK, overseas compatriots and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the National Democratic Front of South Korea.
Present on invitation were foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here and foreign guests.
Premier of the cabinet Hong Song Nam said in a speech at the reception that the DPRK which was founded by President Kim Il Sung by embodying the Juche-oriented idea and tradition of building the people's government has served as a banner of freedom and independence of the Korean people and a symbol of all their honor and happiness.
Under the original army-based revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il, the DPRK, displaying its might as a politically, ideologically and militarily strong power, is successfully carrying out the cause of building a powerful socialist nation, he noted.
The U.S. troops' presence in south Korea is the main obstacle to the reunification of Korea, he said, and continued:
The United States should drop its anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK, stop at once the moves to obstruct the reunification of Korea and withdraw its aggression forces from south Korea without delay.
We will reject the interference of foreign forces by the concerted efforts of the nation and achieve the independent reunification of the country without fail in the spirit of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.
The DPRK government will boost the friendly and cooperative relations with all countries that are friendly towards it and make all efforts to achieve the global independence.

U.S. urged to stop its high-handed and arbitrary practices

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- The U.S. unilateral and high-handed aggression, human rights abuses and killings are inviting bitterer protest and denunciation of the world people, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article. It goes on:
The progressive people of the world aspiring after independence and peace are turning out in the anti-U.S. struggle, branding the U.S. as an empire of evil and the biggest rogue state.
The U.S. evermore undisguised high-handed and arbitrary practices only touch off the people's stronger discontent and resistance against it.
The U.S. is making desperate efforts to quell them. It seeks to escalate the military operation worldwide under the pretext of "anti-terrorism".
The U.S. warmongers have hatched sinister plots to use even nuclear weapons against the DPRK, Iraq and Iran after listing them as members of an "axis of evil".
But this will only threaten the very existence of the U.S.
No country on earth will curse and oppose the U.S. and from no one it will face any threat if it does not conduct such high-handed acts as pressurizing other countries and infringing upon their sovereignty by force.
The U.S. is well advised to reasonably approach the world and behave itself.
This is the only way for the U.S. to be safe and have its future guaranteed.
