Japanese right-wing reactionaries' anti-DPRK remarks under fire

    Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The right-wing reactionary forces of Japan organized a meeting allegedly to solve the issue of abduction. They are hell-bent on war exercises targeted against the DPRK, blustering that Japan may fight a war against North Korea. Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary dismisses their war outcry as a declaration of a war against the DPRK and their saber-rattling as a revelation of their vicious moves to stifle the DPRK.
    The commentary continues:
    The right-wing reactionary forces of Japan are raising a hue and cry over the issue of a few kidnapped Japanese while keeping mum about the unprecedentedly hideous state-sponsored crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean people in the past.
    The issue of redeeming Japan's past should be solved on a priority basis if the DPRK-Japan relations are to be improved and the outstanding issue to be settled.
    As far as the issue of abduction is concerned, it was basically solved when Prime Minister Koizumi visited the DPRK.
    It is not hard to guess what a sinister aim the right-wing reactionary forces of Japan are seeking in complicating the issue.
    They are misusing the issue of abduction for pushing the Japanese people's sentiment to extremes in a bid to obstruct the implementation of the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang declaration. It is their true intention to maintain the abnormal bilateral relations for an indefinite period at the instigation of the U.S. imperialists and other foreign forces and make a showdown with the DPRK.
    The right-wing reactionary forces of Japan are well advised to stop hamstringing the process of improving DPRK-Japan relations and fostering confrontation while going against the trend of the times and the mindset of the people at home and abroad.

U.S. termed arch nuclear war criminal

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- No matter how hard the U.S. is working to accuse the DPRK of posing a "nuclear threat" to it, it can never hide its true colours as a warmonger and an arch criminal making nuclear threats, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary. It continues: The nuclear threat is not posed to the U.S. by the DPRK, a non-nuclear state. On the contrary the DPRK is exposed to this threat posed by the U.S., a nuclear weapon state.
    After the Bush bellicose forces came to power in the U.S., they openly listed the DPRK as a target of its preemptive nuclear attack and adopted it as its policy. As its follow-up measure the U.S. is keen on developing smaller tactical nuclear weapons to attack and destroy the underground facilities in the DPRK.
    In fact, the DPRK has always been exposed to the nuclear threat from the U.S. the DPRK's sovereignty and right to existence are most seriously threatened by the U.S. nuclear blackmail.
    Such situation compels the DPRK to possess any type of powerful military means to defend its sovereignty and right to existence from U.S. moves to blackmail and stifle it with nukes.
    Prompted by its peace-loving stand, tolerance and good will, the DPRK recently proposed the U.S. to settle the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula on the basis of the U.S. recognition of the DPRK's sovereignty and the conclusion of a non-aggression treaty between the DPRK and the U.S.
    Turning down the DPRK's constructive proposal for peace, the U.S. kicked up a new anti-DPRK "nuclear racket", sparking the second "nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula".
    It is a daydream of the U.S. to try to bring the DPRK to its knees and stifle it through its moves for nuclear confrontation with the latter.

Symposium of social scientists held

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- A symposium of social scientists was held at the Grand People's Study House on Monday to mark the 50th anniversary of the Academy of Social Sciences. The speakers said Kim Jong Il propounded the unique idea that the social sciences of Korea should serve the leader as they are aimed to study and explain the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung and set out the idea and theory which should be held fast to in studying the social sciences as required by the developing revolution.
    They referred to the greatness of Kim Jong Il as a peerless philosopher.
    They stressed that the successes made in the development of the historical science of Juche are that the time-honored history of Korea has been newly systematized as a history of the people's struggle and a history of creation for independence based on the Juche-oriented view on history and the law governing the historical development of Korea scientifically clarified.
    Kim Jong Il's theory on the Juche-oriented literature and art serves as an immortal ideological and theoretical banner illumining the road for the literature and art of humankind to follow in the 21st century.
    Present at the symposium were Choe Thae Bok, Secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Thae Hyong Chol, president of the Academy of Social Sciences, officials concerned and social scientists.

Support to Korean people expressed in Syria

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Syrian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea on Nov. 15 held a meeting of doctors, journalists, lawyers, writers and other intellectuals and released a statement denouncing the United States for its unreasonable nuclear racket against the DPRK. The statement said that the center would support the just cause of the fraternal Korean people to defend the sovereignty of the country and the revolutionary cause of Juche under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il and would always stand on the Korean people's side.
    Bitterly condemning the U.S. for leading the situation on the Korean Peninsula to a new nuclear confrontation under the pretext of "nuclear program" of People's Korea, the statement strongly urged the U.S. to immediately accept the proposal for the conclusion of a non-aggression treaty advanced by the DPRK.
    If the U.S. launches a military attack on the friendly DPRK the center will set up an office for collecting donations to it, the statement noted, adding that the center would send material and moral support to the DPRK led by Kim Jong Il.

Proposal for achieving Korean reunification by federal formula supported

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The proposal for achieving reunification by federal formula is the most just proposal consistent with the reality of Korea. I hope that Korea would be reunified by the Korean people themselves according to this formula and the division of Korea, which has lasted for over half a century, would be terminated at an early date. Thabo Mbuyelwa Mbeki, President of the Republic of South Africa said this when receiving credentials from Pak Kun Gwang, new DPRK Ambassador to the country on Nov. 19. Referring to the favorably developing inter-Korean relations, the president noted that South Africa hopes that the DPRK-U.S. relations would be settled through dialogue, and does not want to see the outbreak of another war on the Korean Peninsula.
    South Africa as a friend of the DPRK wishes the Korean people success in their cause and hopes everything will go on well in Korea, he said.

DPRK Ambassador to Pakistan appointed

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Won Gyu was appointed as DPRK Ambassador to Pakistan, according to a decree of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly.

DPRK delegate refers to environmental protection and sustained development

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- A DPRK delegate referred to the issues of environmental protection and sustained development when discussing the sub-agenda item "implementation of agenda 21 and action program for hastening its implementation" of the agenda item "environment and sustained development" at the meeting of the second committee of the 57th UN General Assembly on Nov. 14. Protecting environment and achieving sustained development are an essential need for the co-prosperity of all of us and one of the most urgent tasks before us in the new century, he noted, and went on:
    It is necessary, above all, to put into practice the political will to provide a good living environment not only to the present generation but to the generations to come and establish fair international economic and trade relations favorable for sustained development.
    In order to protect environment and achieve sustained development it is also necessary to create conditions for developing countries to do so and ensure durable peace and security in all countries and regions.
    The DPRK Government, guided by the man-centered Juche idea, has exerted great efforts for the economic progress based on the latest technology, environmental protection and the educational work to meet the requirements of the it era so as to provide the people with a better living environment and hand down a prosperous country to posterity.
    The DPRK will as always actively join the international efforts to protect environment and achieve sustained development, he stressed.

Anecdote about Kim Il Sung

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- In a winter day when the Fatherland Liberation War was at its height, President Kim Il Sung had his car stopped at a sentry post on his way back from the front. He happened to see a soldier on sentry, wearing a summer hat.
    Servicemen could not be supplied with winter hats because the country was in a complicated and difficult situation caused by the temporary strategic retreat.
    The president went near to the soldier and told him that it would be hard to stand guard without a fur hat in such a freezing day.
    But the soldier replied that he could stand the cold. The president held his hands to warm them and put his fur hat on the sentry's head.
    The guard refused to wear the fur hat. But the president let the earflaps down and tied the strings.
    The sentry was moved to tears by the president's deep loving care for soldiers.

Electric cell manipulator developed

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Sciences of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has developed an electric cell manipulator. The high-tech device is used in researching into clone technology and manipulation of cells of animals and plants.
    It can be linked with any computer.
    The department of animal clone of the institute of experimental biology under the branch of biology of the Academy of Sciences made an experimental manipulation of some twenty cells in March Juche 91 (2002). The result showed that the rate of success reached 60 percent.
    The device can be used in various sectors including breeding of good strains, breeding and preservation of rare animals and plants, the production of artificial internal organs and blood vessels and the production of medicines by a physiological method.

Verdict of "not guilty" given to GI murderers denounced

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The U.S. military court on Nov. 22 declared not guilty lance corporal walker mark, a motorman, in the wake of the verdict of not guilty given to Fernando Nino, an observer of a U.S. armored car, who ruthlessly crushed schoolgirls to death, according to MBC of South Korea. At the trial that day most of nine witnesses whom the U.S. military prosecution summoned made statements favorable for the murderers and witnesses of the defense panel did not appear at the court. But the court rapidly acquitted the murderer before ending the trial.
    Hearing the news of another verdict of not guilty, the bereaved families and civic organizations lodged a strong protest with the court, charging that the trial was no more than a perfunctory trial staged to give a verdict of not guilty to the GIs. Students of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils staged a surprise demonstration at Kwanghwamun crossroads that evening demanding the punishment of the GI murderers and the revision of the South Korea-U.S. status of forces agreement.

Anti-U.S. rally in S. Korea

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Members of the All-People Measure Committee for Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son, Girl Students Killed by a U.S. Armoured Car, the Democratic Workers' Party and school youth and children and civic organizations, more than 1,000 in all, held a large-scale rally in front of the U.S. military base in Ryongsan, Seoul on Nov. 23 to denounce the verdict of "not guilty" given to GI criminals, according to KBS of South Korea. The participants branded the trial which declared killers not guilty as a fraud mocking the people.
    They demanded the Bush administration make an open apology and the shackling South Korea-U.S. "status of forces agreement" be revised so that a fair trial may be held at the South Korean court.
    Toward the end of the rally, at least 500 students had a fierce clash with the riot police while attempting to make their way to the base.
    Meanwhile, the measure committee clarified its plan to visit the white house next month to convey the protest letter and hold protest rallies at all the U.S. military bases in South Korea one after another.

Anti-U.S. struggle called for

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- It is logical that the anti-U.S. struggle provides a sure guarantee for peace in Korea and security of its nation at a time when they are exposed to a serious threat posed by the U.S. imperialists, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article. It goes on:
    A struggle for independence against the U.S. is the only way for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and achieving the reunification, the desire of the Korean nation.
    Great achievements, which had been regarded as impossible in the half a century-long history of national division, have been made in the movement for national reunification and the inter-Korean relations in a little over two years since the adoption of the joint declaration. This is a clear proof of its validity and vitality.
    The U.S. has always been opposed to the reunification of Korea.
    It has worked hard to obstruct and torpedo the process of Korean reunification by all means, very much displeased to see the inter-Korean relations turning into those of reconciliation and cooperation and the desire for independence and reunification of the nation rapidly growing stronger to pave the way for reunification by concerted efforts of the Korean nation.
    The struggle for independence against the U.S. is the only way for the Korean nation to survive. This resolute struggle alone guarantees the sovereignty and security of the nation and peace and the reunification of the country.
    All the Koreans in the north and the south and overseas should turn out in a patriotic struggle to frustrate the U.S. imperialists' moves to infringe upon the sovereignty and dignity of the nation and deprive it of its right to existence.
    The Korean people have the unshakable will and awareness that no one on earth can defeat a people who are ready to die. They are fully ready to fight a life-and-death battle against the U.S. imperialists trying to deprive the Korean nation of its sovereignty and right to existence and ignite a new war on the Korean Peninsula.

U.S. should own full responsibility for ensuing consequences

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The U.S. decision to stop the supply of heavy oil to the DPRK issued on Nov. 14 is a gross violation of the DPRK-U.S. Agreed Framework (AF), says Minju Joson today in a signed commentary. The commentary goes on:
    It is a far-fetched assertion and brigandish logic for the U.S. to insist that the DPRK was the first to violate the AF. It was none other than the U.S. that breached the AF.
    The U.S. recent decision was part of the U.S. systematic non-compliance with the AF and a link in the whole chain of its violations.
    Due to such unreasonable action of the U.S. the AF has been reduced, in fact, to a dead document.
    The DPRK and the U.S. have long been in the belligerent relationship.
    Now that the AF looks more dead than alive there is no need for the DPRK to strive for its implementation.
    The DPRK has no intention to settle the relations with the U.S., allowing its sovereignty and dignity to be infringed upon.
    The DPRK is fully ready for both dialogue and war.
    The U.S. is well advised to ponder over the consequences to be entailed by its self-justified and insolent behavior.
    The U.S. will have to be fully accountable for all the ensuing serious consequences.

Thai political party leader meets WPK delegation

     Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, leader of the Thai Rak Thai, said that he would make positive efforts to boost the relations between the Thai Rak Thai and the Workers' Party of Korea and between the Thai people and the Korean people. He met a delegation of the WPK led by Kim Thae Jong, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, participating in the 2nd international meeting of Asian political parties in Thailand on Nov. 23.
    He said that the participation of the WPK delegation sent by Kim Jong Il, General Secretary of the WPK, in the 2nd international meeting of Asian political parties is great encouragement to the Asian political parties in their efforts to build independent and prosperous Asia.
    He said he was pleased to know that the Korean people have made great successes in the economic construction of the country and foreign relations under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

    tal peroracion es igual a una declaracion de guerra contra la rpdc y tal alboroto belico es una revelacion de las aviesas maquinaciones de dichas fuerzas encaminadas a aplastarla.
