Kim Il Sung remembered in different countries

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- Meetings for remembering President Kim Il Sung took place in Addis Ababa and Cairo on March 20 and 24. Speeches were made there.
    The chief of the Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, group for the study of the Juche idea and other speakers said that Kim Il Sung is the Sun of Juche, who performed immortal feats for the times and humankind with his outstanding leadership. He is the father of socialist Korea and was the distinguished leader of the world revolution, they added, expressing their humble respect for him, whom humankind holds in high esteem as the eternal sun.
    The chairman of the Egyptian Committee For the Study of the Juche Idea and other speakers said that Kim Il Sung embarked on the road of revolution in his early years and fathered the great Juche idea. He is an invincible and iron-willed commander who led the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and the fatherland liberation war to victories and defeated two imperialisms in his lifetime, they noted.
    Recalling that he had pursued policies to meet the intention and the demands of the people, always finding himself among them and regarding the idea of believing in people as in heaven as his maxim, speakers said that his undying feats for the Korean and the world revolutions would remain long in the hearts of the world progressives thanks to Kim Jong Il.

River-crossing exercise staged in S. Korea

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The "Sungjin" unit of the South Korean army staged an all-out offensive river-crossing operation exercise on April 1 in the wake of its field tactical mobile drill for 2003, according to KBS of South Korea. Tanks, armored cars and other combat vehicles and huge troops underwent training in rapidly securing a bridgehead by use of river-crossing equipment of u.s. forces. An ultra modern information radar system was reportedly used in the drill for the first time.

U.S. to keep some of its forces involved in exercises in S. Korea

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist warmongers announced they would keep some of the U.S. Forces involved in Foal Eagle and Rsoi exercises in South Korea for more war maneuvers, according to KBS of South Korea. An officer concerned of the U.S. Forces in South Korea said some of the forces involved in the exercises would remain in S. Korea for 3 weeks for a maneuver to supplement and round off combat readiness.
    They would include 6 F-117 stealth fighter-bombers, one wing of F-15e fighters and other sophisticated equipment and one mechanized battalion of ground force.
    This fact goes to clearly prove once again that the U.S. imperialists are a disturber of peace as they are keen on driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war after starting the invasion of Iraq.

Sports contests for "Mangyongdae Cup" open

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- Sports contests for "Mangyongdae Cup" were opened here. They are an annual event to be held in Pyongyang and local areas of the country in April on the occasion of the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
    Sportspersons will compete in 42 games including football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, marathon, weight-lifting, pro-boxing, archery and other events.
    An opening ceremony was held in the basketball gymnasium in Chongchun street on April 3.
    Present at the ceremony were Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Chol, chairman of the Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, and officials concerned, sportspersons and citizens here.

U.S. state terrorism

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- More than two weeks have passed since the United States started a military attack on Iraq irrespective of world public protest. During the days many innocent people have lost their lives and cultural assets and creations have been destroyed.
    The war in which sophisticated military equipment and weapons have been mobilized has trampled down the people's dream of living in the world without aggression, war, murder and destruction. It also clearly shows how dangerous the U.S. rulers' ambition to establish the U.S.-controlled world order is and who is the wrecker of the world peace and stability.
    The United States is calling the attack as a "war of justice".
    From every point of view, however, it is a war of injustice and illegal state terrorism.
    It is long ago that the U.S. authorities worked out a war scenario against Iraq. They unleashed the war for the reason that Iraq "sponsored terrorism" and proliferated "mass destruction weapons".
    But what they really seek is to set up a pro-U.S. regime in Iraq and seize its abundant oil resources and, therefore, put the world economy under their control.
    After the termination of the cold war the United States has been engaged in high-handed practice in the international arena, terming those nations out of favor with it "axis of evil" and "sponsors of terrorism".
    When it ignited the Iraqi war, it left the United Nations out of account.
    All facts indicate that the U.S. military action has no justification.

FCS developed

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The Institute of Automation Under the Academy of Sciences has developed FCS (field control system). The system is made up of sensors, actuators, communication controllers and a computer with SCADA (supervision control and data accumulation).
    It supervises and controls continuous and discontinuous processes at industrial establishments in the way of the real time system.
    Sensors and actuators are equipped with ups (uninterrupted power supply).
    The newly developed FCS has already been introduced in some factories.

Foreign guests appreciate Taekwon-do exhibition

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- A Taekwon-do exhibition was appreciated by diplomatic envoys, embassy officials, resident representatives and members of international organizations here at the Taekwon-do hall on Thursday on the occasion of the 91st birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. The exhibition troupe of the Korean Taekwon-do Committee ensured collectivity of movement in team patterns and performed perfect skills in pantile- and brick-crushing and pine board-breaking in different positions, showing the might and special techniques of Taekwon-do, orthodox martial arts and pride of the Korean nation, which left deep impressions upon spectators.
    It was also seen by Hwang Pong Yong, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-do Committee, officials concerned, Taekwon-do fans and working people in Pyongyang.

Railroading of motion on troop dispatch under fire

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The railroading of the "motion on the troop dispatch" through the South Korean National Assembly session is one more disgraceful pro-U.S. sycophantic and servile act and an unpardonable criminal act of following the U.S. brigandish war policy of aggression, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary.     The South Korean authorities and the pro-U.S. political forces have found themselves in the same boat with the U.S. which started aggression against Iraq by railroading the motion.
    The nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula is getting worse with every passing day. It is open secret that the DPRK is the next target of U.S. attack after the Iraqi war.
    The madcap large-scale joint military exercises staged in South Korea against the north suggest that the U.S. may provoke a war of aggression against the DPRK in the near future. The national assembly's passage of the motion on the troop dispatch against this backdrop is little short of encouraging the U.S. in its moves to invade the DPRK.
    The South Korean authorities and politicians will certainly be cursed and condemned by the nation for considering foreign forces as more important than the nation and being more interested in "cooperation" with foreign forces than in national cooperation.

Minju Joson calls for protecting nation's dignity and sovereignty

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The U.S.-South Korea large-scale joint war maneuvers Foal Eagle and Rsoi targeted against the DPRK were staged in South Korea. The U.S. imperialists described them as defensive and annual ones but it was nothing but a subterfuge to mislead the public opinion. Minju Joson today says this in a signed commentary.
    It goes on:
    As clearly shown by the period, scale and nature of the Foal Eagle and Rsoi exercises staged by the U.S. imperialists and the South Korean bellicose elements, they were the reckless exercises for a war of aggression to contain the DPRK by force and realize their ambition for invasion of it.
    It is the desire of all the Koreans that the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration would be implemented to the letter and inter-Korean relations would rapidly improve this year to open a new phase of national reunification.
    But the U.S. imperialists and the South Korean military forces staged the provocative war exercises against the DPRK in spite of its utmost efforts for the peace of the country and its peaceful reunification, aggravating the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
    The recent sabre-rattling proves once again that the U.S. imperialists are the heinous enemy trying to infringe upon the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK while threatening the peace on the Korean Peninsula and increasing the danger of a new war there and the heinous warmongers keen to inflict disasters of a nuclear war upon the Korean nation.

KCNA flails U.S. publicized sanctions against DPRK

     Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The U.S. hostile moves against the DPRK have reached a ridiculous phase. On March 24 the Bush administration groundlessly asserted that a DPRK company received a technology of manufacturing nuclear weapons in return for its export of medium-range missile and its related technology to Pakistan although the company was doing normal trading business with it. Washington declared that it would apply sanctions against the DPRK for this.
    This is nothing but a ridiculous and unjustifiable action that does not deserve even a passing note as it is Washington's trite trick to charge the DPRK with missile proliferation and nuclear development and put international political and diplomatic pressure upon it.
    As far as the missile issue is concerned, the DPRK has not acceded to the missile technology control regime and, therefore, it is an independent sovereign state which is not legally bound to anything in terms of missile export and the transfer of its technology.
    The U.S., ignorant of such elementary principle of international law and common sense, unreasonably accused the DPRK of violating this regime. This only indicates that the u.s. is a de facto lawless state that defies international law.
    The U.S. action is little short of admitting itself that it is a rogue state which interprets law as it pleases and imposes its view on value upon those countries which incur its displeasure.
    Explicitly speaking, it is an indisputable sovereign right of the DPRK to produce and deploy missiles to protect its sovereignty and supreme interests and export them to other countries within the framework of normal military cooperation and exchange.
    The DPRK's missile program is of strictly peaceful and defensive nature and it, therefore, does not pose any threat to those countries which respect the sovereignty of the DPRK.
    The Bush administration had better have a proper view on other countries of the world before talking about sanctions against the DPRK.
    The U.S. have used thousands of weapons of mass-destruction including tomahawk cruise missile in the Iraqi war, reducing cities and villages in Iraq, a sovereign state, to ashes and killing innocent civilians. The U.S., the chieftain of such typical state-sponsored terrorism, is, however, calling for applying sanctions against the DPRK. This is like a thief crying "stop the thief"
    The Bush administration should clearly know that it will never succeed in diverting elsewhere the international community's condemnation of the U.S. and its war no matter what sanctions it may apply against the DPRK.

    en el "informe anual sobre el derecho humano" del 31 de marzo, ee.uu. volvio a acusar a la rpdc arrogandose el papel de "juez del derecho humano".
    en el regimen socialista coreano centrado en las masas populares en que se logro la unidad monolitica del lider, el partido y el pueblo el nuestro disfruta de los autenticos derechos y libertades.
    el derecho humano es precisamente el poder estatal.
