     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- A collection of famous works concerning national reunification of President Kim Il Sung "On the Proposal for Founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo," was recently published by "Yedinstvo" Corporation of Russia.

Japan Urged to Halt Anti-Chongryon and Anti-DPRK Terrorism

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- Ultra-right gangsters of Japan committed such grave terrorism as throwing explosives to the Fukuoka Prefectural Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and the Fukuoka branch of the Nishi Credit Association of the Korean Bank and firing bullets at the center of the Nishi Credit Association of the Korean Bank in Okayama at night on August 23. Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary vehemently denounces the consecutive acts of terrorism perpetrated by the ultra-right gangsters of Japan as a blatant challenge to the DPRK and Chongryon and an intolerable insult to the Korean nation. The commentary continues:
    It was premeditated and deliberate moves of the Japanese reactionaries to bar the entry of Mangyongbong-92 into the Japanese port. Lurking behind it is a sinister aim to infringe upon the right of Koreans in Japan to visit their motherland that had been underway on the basis of noble humanitarianism and endanger their safety.
    The Japanese authorities patronize and encourage the ultra-right reactionaries in such terrorism as throwing explosives and firing bullets to halt the operation of the ship Mangyongbong-92, the only humanitarian service between the DPRK and Japan. Their act can never be pardoned.
    Japan is, indeed, a lawless rogue state with the poorest human rights record ignorant of international law, justice, human ethics and morality and humanitarianism.
    The DPRK values sovereignty and dignity more than its life.
    The Japanese authorities should immediately stop all forms of political terrorism harassing and threatening Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, probe the truth behind the recent incidents at an early date and take responsible measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

Behavior of S. Korean GNP Blasted

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Grand National Party (GNP) rashly hurled mud at the north, accusing the south Korean authorities of "submitting" to somebody after they expressed regret for the "August 15 people's rally" held in Seoul and raising outcries over what it called "threatening demand" and "south-south conflict". Minju Joson in a signed commentary today dismisses this as its hysteric fit following the failure of its scheme to bar the north's delegation from participating in the Universiad.
    We have to ask the GNP why it feels so chagrined at displaying oneness of the nation to the world by achieving its reconciliation and unity, the commentary says, and goes on:
    The south Korean people of all social strata are warmly responding to the appeal of the DPRK for the pro-reunification patriotic forces supporting the June 15 Joint Declaration to closely unite into one.
    Now the GNP is cursed and denounced by the south Korean people and isolated from them for its crimes against the nation and reunification.
    No matter how loudly it may cry over "threatening demand" and "south-south conflict," it will only disclose its true colors as one wedded body and soul to confrontation. This group of traitors lost in confrontation has no room to stay in the nation.
    It would be better for the party to stop such traitorous acts as blocking national reconciliation, unity and reunification and dissolve itself before being punished by the people.

South Side's Delegation to North-South Seminar Visits Different Places

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The south side's delegation which had attended a north-south seminar on correctly spelling the English name of the country visited Mangyongdae and the secret camp on Mt. Paektu. Members of the delegation looked round historic relics at the old home in Mangyongdae, being briefed on the fact that President Kim Il Sung was born and spent his childhood at the old home, cultivating his lofty idea of patriotism. They had a photo taken in commemoration of their visit to the old home before inspecting revolutionary sites on Mangyong Hill.
    Visiting the native home in Mt. Paektu secret camp where leader Kim Jong Il was born as a great son of guerrillas, they looked round historic sites, being briefed on the fact that he fostered his lofty idea for the fatherland and the nation.
    They inspected the Korean Central History Museum.
    They also visited the Tower of the Juche Idea, the Arch of Triumph, the International Friendship Exhibition, Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 and the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and appreciated a performance given by art circle members of the palace.

KCNA on S. Korean Right-wing Conservatives' Rowdyism

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- Anti-DPRK rowdyism was kicked up in Taegu where the 22nd Universiad is underway. At least 100 members of the ultra right reactionary conservative organizations of south Korea including the south Korean Netizen Solidarity for Democracy and the Youth Committee for Solidarity with Citizens for Freedom on August 24 staged such rowdyism as defiling the dignity and system of the DPRK and assaulting reporters from the north in front of the press centre in Taegu.
    This rash act was kicked up again in south Korea in the wake of the frantic racket reported on the August 15 liberation day when the spirit of national reconciliation and unity and peaceful reunification for the implementation of the June 15 joint declaration is running high across Korea and the inter-Korean cooperation and exchange are brisk as evidenced by the joint march of the groups of the north and the south at an international sports function with the Korean peninsula flag in the van. This is an open challenge to the will of the fellow countrymen for reunification.
    The north bitterly denounces the anti-north racket staged by some ultra right reactionary forces of south Korea as an unpardonable challenge to the aspiration and desire of the Korean nation in the north and the south for national reconciliation and reunification.
    The south allowed this rash act against fellow countrymen to happen after inviting them to the international sports meet that draws the attention of the international community. This is shame on the nation and a rude act devoid of elementary morality and ethics.
    The right-wing conservatives in south Korea are staging anti-north rallies in different parts of south Korea, branding the democratic forces as "pro-north enemy-benefiting" forces. And they are going reckless to block the improvement of the inter-Korean relations and the movement for peace and reunification of the country, crying out for the "eradication of Red virus" and "a turn-out of all right-wing forces."
    The north can not but demand the south Korean authorities own due responsibility for the outbreak of more anti-DPRK rowdyism.
    The August 15 anti-DPRK rowdyism and the anti-DPRK provocation in Taegu were perpetrated under the protection of the south Korean police.
    The undisguised anti-DPRK moves of the ultra right conservatives in south Korea have, in fact, reached an extremely reckless and dangerous phase under the manipulation of the U.S. and at the tacit connivance of the south Korean authorities.
    The south Korean authorities should apologize for the anti-DPRK provocation and severely punish the criminals.

Anniversary of Kim Il Sung's Visit to King Tongmyong's Tomb Marked

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held here yesterday to mark the 50th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to the Tomb of King Tongmyong. The President visited the tomb in Ryokpho County on the outskirts of Pyongyang on Aug. 26, Juche 42 (1953), and gave most important instructions on matters of principle in scientifically ascertaining the tomb of the founder king of Koguryo (early first century B.C. to 668 A.D.) on the basis of the Juche-oriented view on history and matters in preserving and managing the tomb.
    At the meeting, it was pointed out that thanks to his life-long efforts, the work of unearthing, preserving and managing historical remains has been vigorously carried on and the tombs of three founder kings were grandly rebuilt so that the history of Ancient Korea (before 8-7th century B.C. to 108 B.C.), the history of Koguryo that existed for a thousand years as a great powerful state, and the history of Koryo (918 to 1392), the first unified state, could throw its rays long along with the prosperity of the nation.
    Leader Kim Jong Il values the cultural treasures created by ancestors and leads the people to carry forward the excellent national tradition as required by the Songun era, the reporter noted.

S. Korean Judicial Authorities' Fascist Action under Fire

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean judicial authorities demanded heavy penalties against those who contributed to the improvement of the inter-Korean relations. This is an anti-national and anti-reunification criminal act to hamstring the implementation of the June 15 joint declaration and bedevil the inter-Korean relations, going against the will of the compatriots. Minju Joson today says this in a signed commentary.
    The commentary goes on:
    Landmark events have taken place one after another as the inter-Korean relations of distrust and confrontation have turned into those of trust and reconciliation since the publication of the joint declaration. The court action of demanding heavy penalties against those who contributed to this work is intolerable.
    Recalling that the Grand National Party has long committed acts of treachery to be cursed by the people, the commentary says that heavy penalties should be inflicted upon such criminals.
    It goes on:
    The south Korean judicial authorities have revealed through the trial that they are supporting the GNP in its treacherous acts.
    It is as clear as noonday that serious consequences will be entailed by the disturbing situation where those who have desperately worked to downplay the significance of the June 15 joint declaration are allowed to strut and those who contributed to the improvement of the inter-Korean relations are subject to suppression.
    The south Korean authorities are well advised to ponder over the consequences, revoke the heavy penalties demanded against those who were pacesetters in inter-Korean cooperation and take strong measures against the GNP which is driving the inter-Korean relations to confrontation while slandering the June 15 joint declaration.
    Whether one stands for the implementation of the June 15 joint declaration or not and works to improve the inter-Korean relations or not can be clearly proved by action, not by words.

Korean Girls Successful in World Gymnastic Championships

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The DPRK girls proved successful at the 37th World Gymnastic Championships in the United States from Aug. 15 to 24. Competing in the championships were gymnasts from over 70 countries and regions.
    The DPRK girls registered high score in the team preliminary round to be qualified for participating in the Summer Olympic Games next year.
    Kang Yun Mi bagged a silver with 9.443 points in the individual vault event.

U.S. Urged to Make Switchover in Its Hostile Policy toward DPRK

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- Athanasios Pafilis, executive secretary of the World Peace Council who visited the DPRK, said that for the U.S. to make a switchover in its hostile policy toward the DPRK provides a way of ensuring peace on the Korean peninsula. The U.S. is keen to ignite the second Korean war, raising a hue and cry over the "nuclear issue" of the DPRK, he noted and continued:
    It is obvious that the outbreak of another war in Korea would seriously affect the global peace and security.
    The international community is following with attention the touch-and-go situation created on the Korean peninsula due to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and the world people want a peaceful settlement to the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula through dialogue and negotiations.
    He said that the DPRK has the heroic people and an invincible army under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, adding that the U.S. can never bring the Korean people to their knees.
    The peace-and justice-loving people of the world will invariably support the Korean people in their just struggle to firmly defend their national dignity and sovereignty and wage a vigorous struggle to force the U.S. to drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

Achievements of Speed Campaign Youth Shock Brigade

     Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The Speed Campaign Youth Shock Brigade is greeting the Youth Day, August 28, with tremendous achievements in major projects. It has completed in the main the reconstruction on a modern basis of the Tudan Duck Farm, which covers an area of over 907,000 square meters. It is now giving a finishing touch to the interior project of the farm.
    The shock brigade undertakes difficult and laborious projects for the socialist economic construction.
    Leader Kim Jong Il organized the shock brigade in May Juche 64 (1975) and named it "Speed Campaign Youth Shock Brigade."
    Under his wise guidance, it has performed brilliant feats in the socialist construction by giving full play to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and hard work to live up to his expectation.
    It built ten-odd revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites including Wangjaesan, Samjiyon, Oun and Hoeryong.
    It also erected tens of monumental edifices including the International Friendship Exhibition, the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace, the Grand People's Study House, Pyongyang Department Store No. 1, the Youth Hotel and the Changgwang Health Complex. It constructed over 2,000 kilometer-long railroads including the Manpho-Hyesan Youth Line and Kumgangsan Youth Line, and the Youth Hero Motorway, carried out railway electrification projects and erected 49 major industrial establishments including the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex.
    Dwelling houses of the Changgwang, Munsu, Kwangbok, Thongil and other streets were associated with the labor feats of the young builders.
    It has produced some 20 labour heroes, over 120 winners of Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize and 39,260-odd state commendation and order recipients.

Japon debe poner fin a actos terroristas anti-RPDC y anti-Chongryon

     Pyongyang, 26 de agosto (ATCC) -- El dia 23 por la noche volvieron a ocurrir graves actos terroristas de los gangsteres derechistas de Japon: fueron arrojados los explosivos a la direccion departamental de Fukuoka de la Asociacion General de Coreanos Residentes en Japon (Chongryon) y en la filial del departamento homonimo de la Asociacion de creditos de Nishi del Banco de coreanos y fue lanzada la bala a la sede de esta Asociacion de creditos en Okayama. Condenamos resueltamente estos sucesivos actos terroristas como una perversa provocacion contra la RPDC y la Chongryon y como intolerable insulto a la nacion coreana. Asi senala el diario "Rodong Sinmun" en un comentario individual de hoy y continua:
    Tales incidentes son las maquinaciones planificadas e intencionales de los reaccionarios japoneses para impedir de todas maneras la entrada del barco coreano "Mangyongbong-92" en Japon, y en eso yace un malsano objetivo para violar el derecho de visita a la patria de los coreanos residentes en Japon, basado en el noble humanitarismo e incluso amenazar la seguridad de vida de ellos.
    No se puede perdonar en ningun caso el comportamiento de las autoridades japonesas que amparan y promueven hasta tales actos terroristas de los reaccionarios ultraderechistas tendentes a interrumpir la navegacion del barco "Mangyongbong-92", que es una sola labor humanitaria existente entre la RPDC y Japon.
    Japon es un pais bribon que desprecia la ley internacional y la justicia.
    La RPDC aprecia mas la soberania y la dignidad que su vida.
    Las autoridades japonesas deben poner fin de inmediato a sus terrores politicos de todo genero que molestan y amenazan a la Chongryon y los coreanos residentes en Japon, esclarecer cuanto antes el verdadero aspecto de los incidentes y tomar las medidas responsables para que no se repitan tales actos.

Traidores castigan a patriotas

     Pyongyang, 26 de agosto (ATCC) -- Las autoridades judiciales surcoreanas dictaron penas graves a quienes contribuyeron a la mejora de las relaciones Norte-Sur. Esto constituye un acto anti-nacion y anti-reunificacion que obstaculiza la ejecucion de la Declaracion Conjunta del 15 de Junio y empeora las relaciones de ambas partes de Corea. Asi senala el periodico "Minju Joson" en un comentario individual de hoy y continua:
    Despues de publicada la Declaracion Conjunta, las relaciones de desconfianza y enfrentamiento entre el Norte y el Sur se convierten en las de confianza y reconciliacion y se registran sucesivamente los eventos asombrosos. Pero las autoridades judiciales de Corea del Sur aplicaron castigo a quienes contribuyeron a la mejora de las relaciones Norte-Sur. De veras, esto es un proceder intolerable.
    La pena grave debe ser dictada a la horda del "Partido Hannara" de Sudcorea que se ocupo de actos traidores a la nacion.
    A traves del juicio las autoridades judiciales de Sudcorea demostraron que ellas mismas simpatizan con los actos traidores de este "partido".
    Actuan desenfrenadamente las fuerzas opuestas a la reunificacion para mermar el significado de la referida
    Declaracion y siguen siendo objeto de represion las personas quienes contribuyeron a la mejora de las relaciones. ?Que consecuencia traera esto?
    Las autoridades surcoreanas deben reflexionar de ello, anular las penas graves impuestas a las personas quienes contribuyeron a la cooperacion Norte-Sur y tomar las medidas decisivas para detener las maniobras del "Partido Hannara" que en desacato a la Declaracion Conjunta del 15 de Junio lleva las relaciones Norte-Sur a la confrontacion.
    Si desea ejecutar esta declaracion o no y si quiere mejorar las relaciones Norte-Sur o no, debe verificarse no en las palabras sino en la accion practica.
