GNP Can Never Get out of Predicament
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The "illegal presidential election fund" of the Grand National Party of south Korea that stunned the world public was not a crime committed by an individual but an organized and premeditated crime perpetrated by a group of thieves in its size and nature, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary.
Recalling that Ri Hoe Chang, former president of the GNP, appeared in the prosecution office, feeling responsible for this scandal, the commentary observes: He appeared there not of his own accord but under the pressure of Choe Pyong Ryol and his ilk.
It was an ulterior intention of his group to sacrifice Ri, a political castaway, in a bid to get out of the dire fix into which it was thrown by its illegal "presidential election fund" and save the GNP from its collapse at any cost.
Traitor Choe is a ringleader of thieves and Mafia putting Ri into the shade as he is chiefly to blame for the "illegal presidential election fund."
Responsibility for the financial scam rests not only with Ri but with Choe and all other members of the party.
The GNP, a den of such political impostors as Choe, has committed too hideous crimes that its cunning trick can never save it from its doom.
KCNA on U.S. Dangerous Military Moves
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The Bush administration is now deploying ultra-modern weapons it tested in Iraq and Afghanistan in the demilitarized zone south of the Military Demarcation Line (MDL), according to Los Angeles Times.
This is a wanton violation of the Korean Armistice Agreement and a very dangerous political and military provocation that harasses peace and threatens stability on the Korean peninsula and areas around it and escalates the danger of the outbreak of a new war.
As already known, the U.S. is talking much about dialogue, holding forth about a diplomatic and peaceful solution to the nuclear issue between it and the DPRK.
The master key to the peaceful settlement of the issue is the U.S. renunciation of its hostile policy toward the DPRK and its removal of threat of military aggression, nuclear threat in particular. That is why the DPRK has consistently demanded the U.S. drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK, attaching primary significance to it at talks with the U.S. The Bush administration, however, has turned down the justifiable and reasonable proposals of the DPRK, persistently asserting that it should scrap its nuclear program first. This, in essence, is a brigandish demand that the DPRK unilaterally abandon its self-defensive deterrent it has built up to cope with the U.S. military provocation and threat of war.
The DPRK proposed to solve the nuclear issue on the principle of simultaneous actions and a package solution. But the U.S. negated them. The true aim sought by it is to launch the second Korean war. This is clearly proved by the fact that it is introducing into south Korea ultra-modern weapons it tested in wars of aggression launched under the pretext of "war on terrorism" and destruction of "weapons of mass destruction" and deploying them in forefront areas.
The army and the people of the DPRK will never remain passive on-lookers to the military moves in areas along the MDL against the backdrop of the U.S. resumption of the development of smaller nukes for its strategy of a preemptive attack and its arms buildup and full-scale relocation of its troops.
Tunisian President on Friendly Relations with DPRK
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali laid stress on further developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the governments and peoples of the DPRK and Tunisia when he received credentials from new DPRK Ambassador Ri Pyong Ho on December 18.

Dismantlement of GNP Demanded
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country's Reunification reportedly made public a statement on the subject of "Immediately dismantle the Grand National Party taking no account of the people" on December 20.
The statement said that a plenary session of the National Assembly, which had been scheduled to deal with 30 bills related to the people's livelihood and the economy on December 19, was not opened due to the violence of the GNP.
The GNP "policy of strength" is bearing a resemblance to the ghost of the military dictatorship which has already disappeared in history, the statement said, adding: It is only people who are suffering from the tyranny of the GNP, a group of Mafia thieves.
We people should come out in the struggle to dissolve the "National Assembly" which has been reduced to a "private parliament" of the GNP and dismantle the GNP for the sake of the people's livelihood, the statement noted.

Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in London and Bagnue City, France and by the Pitesti Committee of the Socialist Party of Romania, in Sofia, and by the Swiss Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification and the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association in celebration of the 12th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 86th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.
Christopher Coleman, spokesman (Leader) of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), in his speech said it is entirely thanks to Kim Jong Il who set forth the Songun revolutionary line and has wisely led its implementation that now the Korean people are winning victory after victory in the confrontation with the U.S. imperialists.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Swiss Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification, in a speech noted that the Bush administration singled out the DPRK as part of an "axis of evil" and has left no means untried to isolate and stifle it but the former can never bring the Korean people to their knees as they are firmly united around their leader.
Zabed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, in a speech said Kim Jong Suk's immortal life and feats she performed by devotedly defending President Kim Il Sung and bringing up Kim Jong Il as a shining lodestar would always be remembered not only by the Korean people but by humankind.
Congratulatory messages and letters to Kim Jong Il were adopted at meetings held in Britain, France and Pakistan.
Meanwhile lectures, photo exhibitions and film shows were held by Moscow State University of Russia and the Communist Party of Tajikistan and in two cities of Libya including Murzuk.
DPRK Delegate Calls for Development of South-South Cooperation
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- A DPRK delegate in a speech at a high-level meeting on south-south cooperation on Dec. 17 reaffirmed that the DPRK would steadily develop south-south cooperation in the future, too.
Expressing a series of his views on south-south cooperation, he said:
Firstly, the developing countries should consistently pursue south-south cooperation for economic growth and sustainable development, secondly, positively effect this cooperation on the principle of collective self-reliance, thirdly, exert main efforts for implementing the action program and plans for south-south cooperation and fourthly, strengthen unity and solidarity among them.
President Kim Il Sung in his lifetime authored many works which would serve as precious guidelines in realizing south-south cooperation and the fine example set by him in this cooperation powerfully encouraged the developing countries in their efforts to build a new society and greatly contributed to the development of south-south cooperation, he noted.
Anti-U.S. Struggle Is Way Out for South Korean People
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- It is only too natural that the south Korean people are intensifying the anti-U.S. struggle, well aware that the anti-U.S. struggle for independence is vital to their flesh and blood and dignity, says Rodong Sinmun in a signed article today.
National sovereignty more precious than life depends on the anti-U.S. struggle for independence, the article notes, and continues:
A nation can never defend its interests and avoid slavery without sovereignty. Nearly 60 year-long U.S. occupation policy in south Korea has served for taking independent dignity away from the south Korean people and trampling upon their freedom and right of life. When we peruse the agreements and treaties signed between south Korea and the U.S., there is not a word respecting south Korea and guaranteeing the interests of its people. They are all for ensuring the U.S. interests at the sacrifice of everything of south Korea. The independent rights of the south Korean people have been completely ignored by those agreements and treaties.
Enormous are the misfortunes and pains the south Korean people have suffered with their independence violated.
The anti-U.S. struggle for independence is vital to the flesh and blood and independent life of the south Korean people.
It is impossible to think of the dignity and happiness of the people in a land as south Korea destitute of independence, where outside forces boss it around. The history of the occupation of south Korea by U.S. forces for approximately 60 years is marred by such crimes against the south Korean people as killing, plunder, murder and rape. And innumerable are the damages inflicted on the south Korean people's lives and properties by the U.S. imperialists' moves to provoke a new war.
With the aggressors left in the land, the south Korean people cannot defend their lives and properties, let alone their freedom and happiness.
The anti-U.S. struggle for independence is the way out for the south Korean people.
Great Efforts for Technical Modernization

S. Korean Authorities' Plan for Troop Dispatch to Iraq under Fire
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities' plan to additionally send troops to Iraq is a despicable pro-U.S. act of yielding to its repeated pressure and infringing upon the dignity and interests of the nation and a wanton challenge and insult to all the Koreans opposed to the troop dispatch to Iraq.
The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland said this in information bulletin No. 855 issued today as regards the south Korean authorities' "decision on the motion" calling for additionally sending 3,000 troops to Iraq.
The bulletin referred to the fact that not only those countries which had decided to dispatch troops to Iraq yielding to the U.S. brigandish demand are retracting their decision but voices urging the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from Iraq are growing strong in the U.S., too and people's actions against the troop dispatch to Iraq are now underway in different parts of south Korea.
It goes on:
This being hard reality, the south Korean authorities and pro-U.S. conservative forces are going reckless in their efforts to hurl young south Koreans to Iraq as bullet shields for the U.S. imperialist aggression troops trapped there, asserting that they should be sent to repay the U.S. favor under the unreasonable pretext of "south Korea-U.S. alliance" and "national interests". This is an unpardonable criminal move.
It is only the south Korean authorities that are meekly yielding to the U.S. pressure for troop dispatch to Iraq though all the countries and nations of the world are unanimous in strongly rejecting it. This is shame on the Korean nation and a tragedy of the century as it betrays the sinister flunkeyist and traitorous pro-U.S. posture of south Korean authorities.
The south Korean authorities should face up to the trend of the times and immediately cancel their criminal plan for additional troop dispatch to Iraq.
