     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Today marks the 92nd birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. Rodong Sinmun in an editorial says that Kim Il Sung is a peerlessly great man, an eternal sun who pioneered the sacred cause of Juche and led the progressive humankind along the road of sovereignty and independence.

    Over the last rigorous decade the faith of the army and people of the DPRK in the President's idea and cause has grown stronger.
    His cause has a bright future as it has a reliable foundation on which the DPRK can victoriously advance despite any tempest.
    The President lives in the hearts of the army and the people of the DPRK as the supreme brain of the revolution and the sun of Juche.
    Kim Il Sung's idea and cause which recorded the most brilliant page in the history of the Korean revolution and the world revolutionary movement have been fully materialized under the Songun leadership of leader Kim Jong Il.
    Kim Jong Il's Songun cause is a continuation of the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered and led by the President.
    Kim Jong Il set out the Songun politics to successfully accomplish the President's idea and cause.
    The last decade covered by the Korean revolution under the banner of Songun was a proud decade during which the revolutionary armed forces and the national power of the country have been remarkably increased true to the President's idea and line of attaching importance to military affairs and a decade of tremendous creation and change when a wide avenue was paved for building a great prosperous powerful nation true to the President's last instructions.

Gift to President Kim Il Sung

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- A Polish delegation for the study of the Juche idea presented a gift to President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the Day of the Sun. It was conveyed to an official concerned by head of the visiting delegation Jacek Poniewierski.

Floral Basket Presented to DPRK Embassy in Bangkok

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Thaksin Shinawatra, prime minister of Thailand and leader of the Thai Rak Thai Party, sent a floral basket to the DPRK embassy in the name of himself and his party on April 12 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun. A spokesman for the party visited the embassy and laid the basket before the full-length picture of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them.
    He said that Kim Il Sung is the great leader who performed immortal exploits for the happiness of the Korean people, prosperity of the country and the cause of global peace. Kim Il Sung always lives in the hearts of humankind, he added.
    Referring to the friendly relations between the Thai Rak Thai Party and the Workers' Party of Korea and between the two countries, he expressed expectation that these relations would as ever grow stronger.

Letter to Kim Jong Il from NDFSK Central Committee

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il today received a letter from the Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 11th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Lauding Kim Il Sung as the great leader, peerlessly great man and benevolent teacher whom the Korean nation and whole humankind highly worship and praise, the letter said: His whole life is brilliantly recorded with his immortal feats as he successfully accomplished every cause he could for the sovereignty of the country and the prosperity of the nation and brought happiness and glory to the people.
    The human history records famous great men and leaders but does not know such outstanding leader, peerlessly great man as the President who performed the immortal great feats and accumulated a wealth of experience, undergoing all hardships for over 80 years.
    You have realized the cause of perpetuating the memory of the leader with his Songun politics and let the President's idea and cause shine forever century after century. This is the great feat to be specially recorded in the human history.
    You have made socialist Korea of Juche demonstrate its might as an ideologically, politically and militarily powerful country, holding high the banner of Songun.
    The publication of the June 15 joint declaration ushered in an era of the independent national reunification, made it possible to preserve peace on the Korean peninsula and let the global independence become a trend of the times.     The letter stressed the need for the people from all walks of life to turn out as one in the movement to implement the three charters of national reunification advanced by the President and the June 15 joint declaration provided by Kim Jong Il, realize national cooperation against the U.S. under the banner of the Korean nation-first spirit and build the structure of the nation's confrontation with the United States through practical actions and thus check and frustrate the U.S. moves for Korea's permanent ivision and war against the DPRK and get the U.S. imperialist aggressors withdrawn from this land without fail.

Kim Il Sung's Reminiscences Published Abroad

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- More than a decade has passed since the first publication of President Kim Il Sung's reminiscences "With the Century". The reminiscences that comprehensively deals with the revolutionary life of the President and exploits performed by him in the struggle has been widely disseminated in over 170 countries in the period, while hundreds of thousands of its copies have been ublished in 18 languages in more than 50 countries.
    China and Russia published at least 100,000 copies of Vols. 1 to 8 of The Anti-Japanese Revolution from the reminiscences.
    This biography of the peerlessly great man has been published in national languages to be avidly read by figures of different social standings and other peoples in several countries of Europe including Romania and Bulgaria.
    India, Guinea, Nigeria, Mexico and other countries formed organizations to disseminate the reminiscences, while the International Institute of the Juche Idea had Paekbong Library publish its Vols. 1, 2 and 3.
    Seminars on the reminiscences, meetings for presenting impressions of the reminiscences and reading sessions for reminiscences have been held in more than 100 countries including Mongolia, Rwanda, Portugal and Peru.
    After reading the reminiscences political, social and academic figures of different countries praised the whole life of Kim Il Sung as the life of the man of great eminence unprecedented in the modern history and the most noble life of a socialist political leader representing the 20th century.

Letter to Kim Jong Il from Chongryon Central Standing Committee

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il today received a letter from the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). The letter said that on the auspicious Day of the Sun the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon paid highest tribute to Generalissimo Kim Il Sung representing the boundless loyalty and reverence of all the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan nd extended highest glory to Kim Jong Il who is carrying forward and carrying out the revolutionary cause of Juche generation after generation.

Banquet Given by DPRK Government

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- The government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea gave a banquet at Pyongyang Koryo Hotel on Wednesday on the occasion of the Day of the Sun. Present on invitation were Vishwanath, director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea (IIJI), and his party, a delegation of the Secretariat of the IIJI led by Deputy Secretary General Sakae Araki and delegations of Juche idea study organizations on a visit to the DPRK.
    Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and chairman of the Korean Social Scientists Society, in a speech said that the Korean people highly praised the Juche idea followers for fulfilling the noble responsibility they assumed for the era and humankind, remaining true to the faith of Juche despite all the moves of the reactionaries to turn back the orbit of independence.

Guest Performances Given

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) --Guest performances of the 22nd April Spring Friendship Art Festival were given at various theaters and halls here yesterday. Artistes from different countries put on stages immortal revolutionary paeans "Song of General Kim Il Sung" and "Song of General Kim Jong Il" reverberating throughout the world on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (April 15).
    Artistes from different countries and overseas Korean artistes staged many songs such as "Star Light", "Let's Present Songs and Dances on the Spring Festival Stage", "We Live, Looking Up to Mt. Paektu", "April Spring Has Come" and " Longing to See Pyongyang" created by themselves.
    The British art troupe presented an instrumental ensemble of famous song "Nostalgia," the Russian group of famous artistes male solo and the Vietnamese art troupe female trio "Our Leader", the Armenian art troupe female vocal solo "Dear General, Where Are You", the art troupe of Koreans in China female vocal solo "Cantata to Marshal Kim Il Sung", the art troupe of Koreans in Australia cello solo "Leader, the Night Is Far Advanced" and other Korean songs were put on stages. This greatly encouraged the Korean people in their efforts to achieve the greatest prosperity of the country under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
    Also staged were colorful numbers including a ballet drama by the Russian ballet troupe, a male vocal solo by the Chinese State Symphony Orchestra and a clarinet solo by the Cuban art troupe.
    At the end of the performances senior officials of the Party and state mounted stages and conveyed floral baskets to the performers congratulating them on their successes.
    The Mongolian art troupe and the German instrumental ensemble separately performed at the Pyongyang International Cinema House and the Yun I sang Music Hall that day.

Tribute Paid to Kim Il Sung

Floral Baskets Laid before Kim Il Sung's Statues

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung standing across the country today on the occasion of the Day of the Sun. People from all walks of life, servicepersons, youth and students in the capital city mounted Mansu Hill with ardent longing for and boundless reverence for the President.

DPRK on Day of Sun

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is in a festive atmosphere commemorating the Day of the Sun, the most auspicious holiday of the nation. Seen in the streets of Pyongyang are boards carrying such words as "Day of the Sun", "Eternal Life", "Commemoration" and "April 15", picture boards, large visual aids and other kinds of decorations.
    Fluttering on flag poles in streets are red banners, flags of the DPRK, flags of the April Spring Friendship Art Festival and pasted on walls of buildings are posters of the Sixth Kimilsungia Festival and art festival. Trees along streets are ornamented with neon signs and small electric bulbs. Various kinds of flowers including apricot tree flowers delight people enjoying the holiday.
    A large number of people are visiting the Kumsusan Memorial Palace and statues of President Kim Il Sung throughout the country to pay deep homage to him. His old home in Mangyongdae is also being visited by many people.
    The 17th International Marathon Race for "Mangyongdae Cup" and meetings of workers and trade union members and youth were held in Pyongyang to vow loyalty to Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il. And the 22nd April Spring Friendship Art Festival, the 6th Kimilsungia Festival, art show of the Songhwa Art Studio and other functions are going on before full houses to commemorate the Day of the Sun.
    Art performances are given at theatres and newly released films screened at cinema houses. Sports games and amusements are being held in all parts of the country.

Kim Jong Il Enjoys Performance Given by Art Squad of KPA Unit 324

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, enjoyed a performance given by the art squad of KPA Unit 324. The squad put on the stage colorful numbers of various genres including narration and chorus "Thunder on Jong Il Peak", the poetic drama "Let's Remain True to the Faith in the Army to the Last" and chorus "We Will Support the Building of Great Prosperous Powerful Nation with Arms."

Kim Jong Il Watches Training of KPA Unit 324

     Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, watched the training of KPA Unit 324. He, conducted by the commander of the unit, went round the training apparatuses and facilities of the unit. He dropped in at a military lecture room and saw a tactical training of its commanding officers.
    He noted with great satisfaction that the commanding officers of the unit have been trained as competent commanding officers equipped with a high level of operational command capacity to successfully carry out the WPK's Juche-oriented military strategy through strenuous and effective training.
    He mounted an observation post and watched the training of soldiers.
    After watching the training of the brave soldiers firmly equipped with the WPK's Juche-oriented combat methods, he highly praised them for their successful training, greatly pleased to see all the soldiers fully prepared themselves politically and ideologically and in military technique to promptly beat back any enemy invasion and firmly defend the socialist homeland.
    He learned about the living of the soldiers, going round an education room, a bedroom, a mess hall, a washroom, an outdoor resting place and other places. Tambien llevaran a la practica la estructura de confrontacion la nacion coreana vs. EE.UU. mediante la cooperacion nacional antiyanqui y con la bandera de dar prioridad a la nacion coreana en alto, para asi frustrar las maniobras separatistas y de guerra de EE.UU. contra el Norte de Corea y expulsar cueste lo que cueste a los invasores gringos de esta tierra.

Kim Jong Il recibe carta de la Chongryon

     Pyongyang, 15 de abril (ATCC) -- El Dirigente Kim Jong Il recibio el dia 15 una carta del Presidium del Comite Central de la Asociacion General de Coreanos Residentes en Japon (Chongryon). La carta senala:
    Con motivo del jubiloso Dia del Sol (cumpleanos del Presidente Kim Il Sung), el Presidium del Comite Central de la Chongryon rinde el mas sublime tributo al Generalisimo Kim Il Sung traduciendo la infinita fidelidad y el sentimiento de respeto y veneracion de todos los funcionarios de su organizacion y los coreanos residentes en Japon, y la maxima gloria al General Kim Jong Il quien lleva adelante generacion tras generacion la causa revolucionaria del Juche.
    El Presidente a quien el pueblo coreano acogio y enaltecio por primera vez en la historia de 5 mil anos fue el clarividente ideologo y teorico, distinguido politico e invencible y genial comandante de acero, fundador de la Corea socialista y afectuoso padre de la nacion coreana.
    El dispenso amor y benevolencias a la Chongryon y los coreanos residentes en Japon, sin olvidarlos ni un momento en toda su gran vida, y dejo valioso patrimonio y proezas en el movimiento de coreanos residentes en Japon.
    La inmortal idea y la causa del Presidente las enriquece y desarrolla el General Kim Jong Il y la causa revolucionaria del Juche llega a la nueva etapa elevada de la epoca del Songun (priorizacion militar).
    Gracias a contar con la direccion del Dirigente, la causa del Lider padre es eterna y son infinitas la gloria y la felicidad de que disfrutan la Chongryon y los coreanos residentes en Japon junto con nuestra patria y nacion.
    Los funcionarios de la Chongryon y los coreanos residentes en el Japon defenderan la idea original del Presidente sobre el movimiento de coreanos en ultramar y sus inmortales hazanas y daran acicate final al movimiento de 7 meses para acoger con orgullo el XX Congreso de la Chongryon y asi lo adornaran significativamente como foro de la unidad monolitica y de los triunfadores para abrir una nueva coyuntura de viraje en el cumplimiento de la causa patriotica de la Chongryon.

Kim Jong Il recibe presentes de partidarios a la idea Juche

     Pyongyang, 15 de abril (ATCC) -- El Dirigente Kim Jong Il recibio presentes que le dirigieran el director general del Instituto Internacional de la Idea Juche Vishwanath, la delegacion de la Organizacion de Estudio de la Idea Juche de Tailandia presidida por el presidente Songchit Pullarp, la delegacion de la Asociacion Monte Paektu de Mongolia encabezada por el presidente ejecutivo N. Sarantuya, la de la Asociacion de Jovenes Rusos por el Estudio de la Idea Juche con el vicepresidente Dmitri Model como jefe, la de la Asociacion Rusa de Estudio de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea conducida por Pavel Leshakov, la de la Organizacion de Estudio de la idea Juche de Francia dirigida por Jean Marie Lambret y la de Polonia por el Estudio de la idea Juche encabezada por Jasek Poneverski, que realizan una visita a Corea con motivo del Dia del Sol (cumpleanos del Presidente Kim Il Sung). Tambien, le dirigio presente Anarbek Usupbayev, delegado de la Organizacion de Estudio de la idea Juche en Kirguizistan.
    Los presentes fueron entregados a los funcionarios coreanos correspondientes, respectivamente.

Delegacion polaca dirige presente a Kim Il Sung

     Pyongyang, 15 de abril (ATCC) -- Con motivo del Dia del Sol (cumpleanos del Presidente Kim Il Sung), le dirigio presente la delegacion de estudio de la idea Juche de Polonia presidida por Jasek Poneverski de visita en Corea. El jefe de la delegacion lo entrego a un funcionario coreano correspondiente.
