Bulletins Published Abroad
Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- Bulletins were published in various countries on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The bulletin issued by the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association on July 6, points out: The 70-year long history of Kim Il Sung's leadership of the revolution and construction was the history of a great thinker and theoretician and strategist who lit the road to the victory of the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence with his far-sighted wisdom, an iron-willed brilliant commander who forced his way through troubles with unrivaled grit and will and a great leader who performed feats by becoming one with the popular masses.
The bulletins brought out by the Egypt-Korea Friendship Association and the Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association on July 6 and 7 say the august name of Kim Il Sung was shining continuously as a victorious banner of the progressives today in the new century following the last century.
They note that true socialism in which the popular masses are the masters of everything and everything serves them, powerful socialism that displays the grand sight of independence, self-sustenance and self-reliant defense is the very socialism of Korea.
Kim Jong Il, the supreme leader of Korea, they say, is identical to President Kim Il Sung in idea, leadership ability and personality and he is a rare great man who cherishes loyalty to the leader in the noblest height.
Noting that the last 10 years were days of vigorous endeavors to fulfill the last instructions of the President, the bulletins say the realities of Korea today where Kim Jong Il is defending socialism and bringing prosperity to the country by pursuing Songun politics prove that the great prosperous powerful socialist nation desired by the President in his lifetime is not a thing of distant future.
The Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and the DPRK on July 2 published a bulletin titled "President Kim Il Sung who laid a lasting foundation for socialist Korea".

Koreans in Germany Hold Meeting for Peace against War
Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The Society for Cooperation among Koreans in Germany reportedly held a meeting for peace against war in Berlin on July 2.
Present at the meeting were Chairman of the society Jang Il Jung, Representative of the Union of Overseas south Koreans for Democracy, Nation and Unification Ri Yong Jun and south Korean students studying in Germany.
Speeches were made at the meeting under such titles as "Decision on troop dispatch to Iraq must be retracted," "War of madness and brutality should be put to an end," "U.S. is bringing the danger of war to the Korean peninsula," "U.S. must take hands off south Korea and withdraw its troops from there" and "U.S. troops, go back to your den."
A declaration of Koreans for peace against war and troop dispatch to Iraq was adopted there.
Withdrawal of Decision on Troop Dispatch Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Students' Measure Committee for the Withdrawal of the Decision on Troop Dispatch grouping such student organizations as the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils, the Seoul District Federation of University Student Councils and the south Korean Student Solidarity Council made public an "Appeal to Three Million Students for Struggle" on July 9, according to a news report.
The appeal accused the authorities of implementing the decision on the troop dispatch, talking about "unavoidable troop dispatch" and "retaliation against terrorism," far from drawing a lesson from the murder of Kim Son Il at a time when many countries are withdrawing their troops from Iraq and there is ever-mounting public opposition to the troop dispatch in south Korea.
It is the commitment of the students to lead the struggle for the withdrawal of the decision on troop dispatch, the appeal said, calling upon the three million students to frustrate the troop dispatch through a united all-out struggle.
It called for starting the joint action of students in south Korea for the withdrawal of the decision on troop dispatch on July 17 to instill enthusiasm to struggle and confidence of victory into the people.
Kim Il Sung's Exploits Praised
Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- Guy Dupre, secretary general of the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea (CILRECO), who was visiting the DPRK on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung, highly praised his exploits in the work for accomplishing the cause of reunification.
He recalled that when he was visiting Korea as a member of an international fact-finding group for inspecting the concrete wall in April 1990, Kim Il Sung received the group and made most important remarks about reunification.
At that time I could deeply feel that national reunification was the lifelong cause of Kim Il Sung, he said, and went on:
The noble features of the benevolent father who showed so much care for the people, the great man who was so much concerned about reunification, are still stirring all people to the depths of their being.
Not a few obstacles and difficulties lie in the way of Korea's reunification, but the Korean people will certainly overcome them.
CILRECO will further intensify its activities for support to and solidarity with the Korean people in their struggle for reunification and conduct energetic activities to create a favorable international climate for Korea's reunification.
The Korean people, holding leader Kim Jong Il, the lodestar of Korea's reunification, in high esteem, are making all efforts to carry through the last instructions of Kim Il Sung for reunification. His last instructions will surely be materialized.
U.S. Mean Economic Sanctions and Blockade against Other Countries under Fire
Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- U.S. arrogant economic sanctions and blockade are leverages for undisguised interference in other countries and a means for strangling them. The U.S. has become toughest and most desperate in its mean sanctions and blockade against the DPRK. Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed article.
The article cites facts to prove that the U.S. has long applied economic sanctions against the DPRK.
It goes on:
The U.S. sanctions and blockade to isolate, suffocate and subjugate the DPRK have reached the height of the grave, aggressive and tough nature in the new century.
The bellicose Bush administration has desperately worked to lay an international siege to the DPRK, peddling "the danger of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction."
In May last year, the U.S. set out a "security action program for the prevention of the spread of weapons" aimed to carry out the operation to intercept and search the DPRK ships sailing in open seas and is pressurizing 11 countries to put it into practice,. The U.S. plans to stage five multi-national military exercises this year in a bid to lay an international siege to the DPRK.
The U.S. imperialists' blockade operation against the DPRK is designed to increase the economic difficulties to the DPRK in a bid to take an initiative in settling the nuclear issue between the DPRK and the U.S. and, furthermore, bring it under their control by force of arms.
The U.S. moves to lay an international siege to the DPRK is a grave infringement upon its sovereignty as it is in gross violation of international law and the norms governing the relations among countries. The U.S. actions to blockade the seas and airspace of the DPRK are a crude violation of the paragraph of the Korean Armistice Agreement banning any form of blockade against Korea.
The U.S. "blockade operation" against the DPRK is an escalation of its strategy to fight a war against terrorism. Through this operation the U.S. seeks to thoroughly isolate the DPRK and render it economically and militarily incapable and then mount a preemptive attack on it and seize it.
This method, however, will not work on the DPRK.
The U.S. should give up its wild ambition to isolate and stifle the DPRK and other progressive countries through such mean sanctions and blockade.
